Dr. Karen Hoagland Carrick

Please excuse the long review, but to recommend, I must explain. Dr. Karen has been a saving grace in my time of need. Earlier this year I knew something was off in my body; I did online research and, through a website of Dr. Wentz, found Dr. Carrick. I made an appointment and, while waiting to meet, kept feeling myself going downhill. I called before the meeting and asked if I could get the requisition to get my labs completed. I went on a Friday, and on Saturday (before even meeting her), Dr. Carrick called me personally, explained that my levels were off, and made recommendations. So far, three months in, I can only sing her praise. I am back to my usual self, at the gym and losing weight; My periods have been regular, with no monthly bloating and cramping. Her appointments have been thorough, very educational, and welcoming. She is very passionate about her work and displays a desire to help people heal. Her services are affordable and well worth the investment.

Dr Carrick is very knowledgeable. She gets to the root causes of your issues. I highly recommend her!

I have been going to Dr. Carrick for years. She is the first healthcare professional that took my issues seriously. She diagnosed me and helped me find a new path to healing. Her guidance has given me a new lease on life. I appreciate all she has done for me over the years.

Dr. Carrick actually listens to you, which is increasingly rare with healthcare professionals. She always has the highest standards of care and actually spends time with her patients herself. In many places, you mostly see and speak to the staff and only see the doctor for a few minutes--in contrast, most of your visit with Dr. Carrick will be with HER. She really cares about her patients.

AVOID! Karen Carrick is NOT a doctor. She CANNOT prescribe anything. Went in being told by the secretary that she would prescribe Armour Thyroid....she cannot do this, so that was lie number 1. When I get my vitals taken in the back room (which is dirty), the woman taking them is not even any kind of medical assistant, let alone a nurse. After getting extensive blood work sent to Ms. Carrick, she went over all of my deficiencies only to tell me to eat more fish and rice. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Very mixed about Dr. Carrick. Will not be going back again. Was told Dr. Carrick was going to order me calendula and never did, was told their office would get back to me both via phone and e-mail, and from the initial office visit about how to address issues I was having that at the initial office check up was told they would do further research and get back to me. Never got back to me. A month later called to cancel second appointment for them to insist I had never asked them anything...
