About Kara Smolinski
Reviews for Kara Smolinski
Difficult and impossible to talk to and communicate with. Poor vision claims pictures are unclear from newest phone available. Please get her some readers. Leaves patients in pain without need. Discharges simple cases as she might not make as much money on. Works with a staff trained to dump some patients due to insurance or other financial factors.
If I could give zero star I would. Recently took my child to Dr. Shah as she has prescribed a medication that now given my child horrible side effects. She refused to even see us in regards to our concern. We begged to see her. She sent in the receptionist to see us to tell us we didn't need to see her and that our severe swelling, joint pain, muscle weakness had nothing to do with the medication she prescribed. We begged her to take some blood to rule out liver issues as our child's liver enzyme was elevated on previous blood work. She refused and told us to go see our pediatrician and have her do it. We were shocked, she could care less that my child was suffering. Well we went to our pediatrician and was sent right to ER to get blood work, which came back with extremely high liver enzyme levels and my child was immediately given an IV to help flush out the Meds. Our pediatrician was shocked that Dr Shah was not tracking these levels. Do yourself a favor and be very careful with Shah
Dr. Shah has treated my son before. We came in recently for a full body skin examination. He had several moles I was concerned about. She provided great educational materials and assured us he was in good health. Great bedside manner!!!
The front desk was great. And that’s where it ends. The medical assistant was rude and condescending. The doctor was rushed and rude and seemed annoyed when I brought up at the other dermatologist had said. No explanation. Gave us a prescription for steroid… When my pediatrician has specifically said no steroids. Told my teenager has eczema… Well DUH, We knew that. The whole transaction… And yes it was a transaction that lasted less than 10 minutes. Don’t waste your time or money take your business elsewhere. Will Never Return.
My granddaughter has been a patient for many years and we love Dr Shah and her staff. So sad we relocated to another state but wish her the best because she is the best!!!
Physician did not really like questions or listening to a patientâs concerns.
I took my daughter to Dr. Shah as a referral and second opinion for skin issues she's been having for the past couple of years. While Dr. Shah's staff members were kind and welcoming, Dr. Shah herself was not. She was incredibly condescending, arrogant and rude. She seemed put off by the methods we've tried in the past, talked to us as if we were uneducated and would not look at other trouble areas on my daughters body, only those that were specific to the referral. For me, a good provider experience is with a doctor that is truly invested in the patient and wants the best whole health care for them. I would not recommend her to anyone.
The staff was friendly and efficient. We never felt rushed, and Dr. Shah was extremely thorough and personable. Going to the doctor is typically not an enjoyable experience, but I can say this visit was made comfortable by all the associates in the office.
Dr. Shah and her office staff made our entire new patient appointment so pleasant! As soon as Dr. Shah looked at my daughters under arms, she instantly had a plan of action and we are so grateful for the answers we will be have in the near future! So thankful to have such a knowledgeable dermatologist accessible!
Dr. Shah was very patient and took her time to explain everything and listened to my concerns. Definitely would recommend!
I've had two annual visits and each time, I'm impressed with her medical knowledge and interpersonal skills. My ongoing prescription needs are handled easily and changes are make quickly as needed. I've seen 7-8 dermatologists over the years. She's in the top tier!
Making an appointment was easy and the staff was a pleasure to work with. On the day of the appointment, everyone in the office made us feel comfortable as this was our first visit. The doctor and staff were very knowledgeable and I highly recommend them!
Dr.Shah possibly saved my daughters life. After seeing several doctors about a mole/tumor I took her to see Dr.Shah. I had a feeling it could of been something serious since my daughter was immediately scheduled for surgery, but Shah never said or did anything to startle us. Just a few days after removing the tumor we were told it was Melanoma. Since then Dr.Shah has seen my daughter every 6 months to a year and When we have concerns. She provides love & urgency to all of her patients.
Dr. Shah and her staff are so friendly and caring. You can tell they are personally invested in each patient. They also go above and beyond to help in any way from dealing with insurance issues to getting prescriptions filled.
I love this office and staff. Very knowledgeable and professional. They are always on time, which is much appreciated when you are waiting with young kids. The Dr and staff are likable and great with my son.
Not a good experience in any way. Receptionist was rude, doctor Shah was abrupt and brisk, not willing to clarify when asked questions. I was simply told id get paperwork to explain everything.
My mother has dementia and had a cancerous growth on her nose - Dr. Shah and her staff were great in working with her! Very kind and caring - answered any questions we had - Highly recommended!
DR Shah is wonderful! My Mom started to notice thinning hair condition and our primary doctor recommended Kenwood Dermatology. The office staff was very nice and professional during our visit. The Dr really took her time with my Mom and explained everything thoroughly to her. Thank u Dr!!
