I was seen by Dr. Steinvorth today and I have never left a doctors appointment feeling so mistreated. I was really looking forward to this appointment for any type of relief for my miserable sinus infection and never expected to see a doctor and leave feeling so helpless and misunderstood. She did not introduce herself when she entered my room and gave off an angry demeanor right away she made me feel like she was just rushing through my appointment because she didn’t want to be at work. She immediately dismissed all of my concerns and lectured me about a past medical issue that I wasn’t even being seen for. Instead of listening to me as her patient she focused on what she believed that I was doing wrong and left me feeling like I was only defending myself. I didn’t expect to have an argument when all that I was looking for was someone to listen and care about my concerns. Instead she provided absolutely no relief for my symptoms and did not care to listen to why I was being seen in the first place. I couldn’t even explain to her how I was feeling before she would interrupt me with something irrelevant. She told me that it was a waste of my time being seen when I could have just used over the counter medications. The unprofessionalism of this physician is extremely discouraging. The 3 hour wait was not worth a 20 minute argument. This was the most uncomfortable, dissatisfying appointment I have ever had. My experience with this doctor has ruined my entire impression of Alta View Instacare and I will never step foot in this clinic again just to avoid seeing this physician. She not only treated my current illness, but also took the time to help me with new life long disease and further explain to me my upcoming heart surgery.
