One of my pet peeves is waiting for Doctors. I filled out my paperwork online, which was great. I still arrived early for my appt. After waiting 30 minutes past appt time and asking how much longer, the receptionist really didn't care or check. I left. My time is just as valuable as theirs.

Dr Ortiz has done 2 surgeries on me. 1 in 2017 on my right ankle and 1 in 2021 on my left ankle. I am extremely please with both surgeries. Dr Ortiz takes his time explaining everything. He won't push you for surgery unless needed. He has a great bedside manner- I refer everyone I know with foot and ankle problems to him! Dr. Ortiz recently performed extensive surgery on my left foot.  I am taking this opportunity to commend Dr. Ortiz and his outstanding staff.  As is common with most foot surgeries, I have had to schedule regular appointments to monitor the healing progress.  The staff is outstanding, always pleasant and anxious to make the patients' visit as comfortable as possible.  I personally want to mention his assistant Frank Perez.  Frank has never failed to address my needs during this process.  He has fit me in for an unplanned appointment and personally provided me with assistance getting to and from my vehicle.  Anyone who has had to undergo foot surgery knows there is nothing pleasant about it.  However, if life takes you in that direction, I definitely encourage you to seek out Dr. Ortiz and his fabulous staff. I came to Dr. Ortiz after having a botched emergency foot surgery in Orlando. I explained to Dr. Ortiz that in my line of work with the electrical utility that I needed my foots mobility to be as close to normal as it once was. In that state in which Dr. Ortiz found my foot he could tell that my prognosis wasn’t bright. I was in a devastated state, worried about my career, and being able to provide for my household. Dr. Ortiz spoke to me with optimism and explained what the issues were and confidently set forth a plan to get me back on track. After my second surgery on 10/02/2020 Dr. Ortiz and his wonderful staff followed up with me every step of the way to my recovery. Truth be told it was rough, but the whole time I had complete trust in Dr. Ortiz and his medical assistants. They made it easy to trust them and the healing process. Simply the best! I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Ortiz for repairing a torn tendon and mass in my foot. The surgery ended up being more involved than the MRI indicated. Dr. Ortiz said that the morning of my surgery something told him to wear his triple magnifying surgical glasses and they were key to the success of my surgery. He said sometimes he feels he gets “guidance from above” and that morning he decided to wear those glasses for a procedure that normally wouldn’t require them. I realize that surgical outcomes come with no guarantee. That being said my wife's experience with Dr Ortiz had a less than successful outcome. She shared with the Doctor and staff that she had tried orthotics in the past with no relief. After a consultation , surgery was advised. After surgery and over six months of recovery she came home with a pair of $50 orthotics...she was unable to wear them and Dr Ortiz's office said they were not returnable..Her x-rays look like an erector set with plates and screws holding bones in place and she continues to be in pain..as a side , I would recommend if a knee scooter will be needed, that you purchase one used in the $85-100 range on Letgo or another marketplace. Truly one of the most incredible doctors I have ever met. I was referred to Dr. Ortiz by my rheumatologist for my severe foot deformities. I suffered for many years and nothing I did would relieve the pain. I had surgery performed to correct the deformities on both feet. Right foot had surgery in 2018 and my left was just corrected March of this year. Dr. Ortiz is a lifesaver. I can finally put my feet into regular shoes and walk pain free. I'm an 82 year old male who was flatfooted and also suffered several injuries through the years. Dr. Ortiz evaluated my badly broken down right ankle and did a complicated surgery to rebuild it. His surgical skills are amazing and the compassionate follow-up facilitated correct healing. I'm on my feet again and able to wear normal shoes. This is a well run office with impressive staff. My gratitude goes to Dr. Ortiz and Certified for giving me a new shot at normal life again.

Disappointed and still in pain in both feet Told me I had a neuroma in left foot then told me at the next appointment that he didn't know if he could find it! No treatment plan provided for right foot. Injected with cortisone and still in pain. Don't bother going to this provider. Horrible parking access at West Palm Beach office. Practice offers transportation but it doesn't apply to every patient, just a hook to draw you in.

I am so happy I found Dr. Ortiz that I want to scream with excitement. After years of suffering with foot pain and inability to wear anything other than athletic sneaker, I can finally walk pain free and just yesterday wore my first pair of nice (low) heels. I've seen multiple foot doctors over the last 8 yrs, since the pain started and none could take away the pain, much less even figure out what was causing it. Dr. Ortiz knew what was wrong on the first visit and after a small surgery fixed the problem. I trusted him from day one. So smart and kind. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Worst dr. Office ever!Staff is not helpful ,no one calls you back. They never sent my prescription, when I called to find out I could not get through to anyone. They have answering service which sometimes took messages when you got through but related them wrong message . I was told on my visit they wanted me to do nerve testing and that it would take a week or so to set up. They said they would call me. 2 weeks later no one called and trying to get someone on the phone from office is impossible! I left message with with service and he spoke to manager she told him to give me some dr name and no. If that were the case why didn’t they give me that when I was there!? Dr. Ortiz is a lifesaver. I rolled my foot off of a curb last month and was unable to walk on it. His office staff was able to get me in on a emergency appointment the next day. Had to wait a little cause he seems to be very well liked and had a full office of patients. But I didn't mind waiting. Turned out I broke my metatarsal bone. Dr. Ortiz was able to fix it through a small incision ( I think it's call minimally invasive surgery) and I'm well on my way to healing. Just 2 small stitches. Dr Ortiz did a great job on my foot surgery for bunion and a hammertoe. He was very professional, told me everything that was going to happen before and after the surgery. After the surgery I had a follow up with in a few days and every week for 4weeks and a few more after that. His aftercare was excellent. I was up and moving and was fully healed after four weeks. I have nothing but the highest praise for Dr. Ortiz. I had originally seen him to treat several broken toes and then Plantar's Fascitis over the past few years, when I found him to be quite knowledgeable and very capable. The true test of his abilities and capabilities came this past October (2018) when I broke my ankle while on a European cruise, after which he had to operate. His skill and bedside manner are fabulous and I would heartily recommend him to anyone.

He's just after the money. Just wants to do surgery for any old thing. After I said no to his surgery I found out my foot was out just needed a realignment and have not had any problems since.

Arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment in order to complete paperwork and in hopes I would be seen a little sooner. I chose to see Dr. Ortiz at this location as opposed to his Boca office because of its proximity to my work. First of all I was seen just a little over an hour after my scheduled appointment! Second, when I asked about a particular service I was told by the nurse assistant that the tool for that particular treatment is only available at the Boca office. When I asked the doctor about this he states to me, that its untrue it's just that "the batteries are dead" on the tool. As if that is any more reassuring? Never the less I was in for a very insignificant case in comparison to the other patients and that was expressed to me by the doctor. After my consultation by Dr. Ortiz he begins to try and sell me on some products, the nurse assistant went Vanna White on me demonstrating in soles etc. when I declined the doctor then looks at me and says while holding the bandage / spacer that it'll be $6.00 for it. So $50 co-pay and nearly 1 1/2 hours later I can't even get a bandage out of this guy? Look, while I was here there were some patients in pretty serious health conditions and it was me holding the door for them to use the restroom that entire hour I was in the waiting area so take that information and do what you will but I personally won't be coming back. If there are cases in which the doctor needs additional time with these patients then schedule accordingly. I took time off work to fulfill this appointment. While in Florida, I had an accident that partially ripped off a big toenail. Initially I went to a hospital emergency room where they wanted to try to sew the nail back on, WHAT?! Instead, I found my way to Dr. Ortiz, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Dr. Ortiz was so kind and patient with me, he was extremely gentle and did everything possible to reassure me and make me comfortable. Although this happened 8 years ago, I have never forgotten Dr. Ortiz and I HIGHLY recommend him!

went to this Dr. W/pain from bone spurs & plantar fasciitis,in my early forties, live an extremely active life, after telling the Dr that I had a bad reaction to cortisone 4years prior he insisted on using cortisone shots even came into office w/syringes full in his upper pocket ,he suggested previous Dr. Injected incorrectly. He did show me on my second toe that I was having strain on a ligament. 2 mths later I'm completely unable to walk had even worse reaction & that ligament is now ruptured.

I would highly recommend Dr. Ortiz. After developing a severe infection on my leg I was admitted to JFK hospital. Luckily, Dr. O was the doctor called to attend to my condition. He was highly attentive, kind and took the time to explain to me what I should expect. I can't thank him enough and wanted to take the time to let others know that if they need a great foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Ortiz should be your guy.

He helped to get me back on my feet again!! I broke my 5th metatarsal twice, first time via traditional methods, the 2nd via surgery. He truly is amazing at what he does and works with you every step of the way. I would recommend him to anyone.

Waste of time. My appointment was at 5.00 pm, I was there at 4.40 pm A patient who came in way after me was called before me even though the person at the front desk told the asst that I was there before the other patient. Waited until 5.30 and still no one called my name nor did they let me know the doctor was running late. I took off time from work and wasted it waiting. This is disrespectful and rude.

Excellent surgeon and staff. Dr. Ortiz performed three surgical procedures on my right foot and came highly recommended by a rheumatologist. After just three months I am feeling so much better. If you are having foot or ankle pain, I highly recommend him.

This is the best podiatrist in West Palm Beach. I had surgery in July of this year and before performing my surgery he took X-RAYS and explain to me in detail my issues and the solution. He and his staff were very helpful and pleasant on each office visit. I tell you I had lots of office visit. I was always greeted with kindness and a smile. Dr. Ortiz has an excellent bed side manner. He ask you questions, making you feel so at ease and comfortable to talk to. Dr. Ortiz get's A+ in my book.

He has made a complete difference in my life since my replacement. He implanted the latest type of ankle replacement and I no longer have that pain I have been dealing with for years. After using other podiatrists and having multiple amputations on both my feet Dr Ortiz has taken care of the problems that other could not

I fractured my fifth metatarsal in August 2015, about 2 months before I was scheduled to go on a family vacation. Dr Ortiz worked with me to make that trip possible. He explained my options - a screw surgically inserted into the fractured bone or just letting the fracture heal on its own. Dr. Ortiz was very forthcoming about the pros and cons for each option and I chose to have the surgery. Even though his surgery schedule was full, he said he would fit me in earlier if I could obtain paperwork for three preliminary medical procedures as well as insurance clearance. I was able to do so and he operated a week earlier, allowing me to begin my recovery as soon as possible. There were no complications from the surgery. I spent the first month in a cast and had office visits every 2 weeks. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the entire office. Dr. Ortiz gave me hope without being overly optimistic. I really appreciated his reassurance that I had a good possibility of making the trip in regular shoes. He showed me the x-rays of my foot. The screw was straight and the gap between the bones was healing normally. After the first month I was put in a walking boot, but told not to walk in it yet. I was very concerned that I was running out of time, but Dr. Ortiz again reassured me that I was within the window of opportunity for a normal recovery. After two weeks I was healed sufficiently to begin walking in the boot. I was allowed to walk for no more than a mile, to swim and ride a bike, but was cautioned not to run, jump, stand with all my weight on the injured foot, and no elliptical. After two more weeks my x-rays showed enough healing had occurred that I could remove the boot and walk in normal shoes. This was 5 days before I was scheduled to leave on the trip. Dr. Ortiz advised wearing shoes with good support and sent me on my way. I had a wonderful two week trip with my entire family. I was able to participate fully in miles of walking and hiking, jeep and ATV rides, a two hour segway tour, cave explorations, and more stair climbing than I ever thought would be possible. I rarely had any pain or stiffness, although I did have some swelling from time to time. I consider myself very lucky to have found such a skilled surgeon who acknowledged my concerns and worked with me to meet my needs in a professional and responsible way. Dr Ortiz is a very knowledgable surgeon. He performed surgery on both of my feet, I would highly recommend Dr Ortiz to anyone needing a foot doctor/surgeon.
