Dr. Julie Lauren Abrahamson

Several years ago I was looking for a new female dentist, and I was hoping Dr. Abrahamson would be the person to put me at ease and help me get back to good dental health. I was wrong. This doctor spent my one and only visit making negative comments about my dental care, and how difficult it was going to be to see / work with me. I'll admit. It had been an extremely long time since I had preventative care, (not good insurance), but I now wanted to fix that and get into a preventative routine. I left this office visit feeling extremely bullied, targeted, uncomfortable, and discouraged. I made a second appointment for follow-up, but cancelled it and never returned. How can you expect patients to return for follow-up, when you spend the entire visit speaking "badly" about them. I sought out and found another female dentist, who was positive and willing to work with me, to help me re-establish good dental health.

Outdated equipment and rude staff. Made me wait 5 months to repair a chipped front tooth.(Never fixed it).Blamed my insurance. Went to another Dentist, fixed same day.

I found the dentist's father, who was also a dentist, about 2 decades ago. She took over her father's business and until 2 years ago, when I moved away, not only me but my children were treated by her. I now live an hour away from Fishkill and went to a local dentist for a checkup. To double check, I returned to Dr. Julie, and the end result is saving me not only time but a nice amount of money. I will be returning to Dr. Julie as my dentist. She is a good, thorough dentist, or I wouldn't have been going to her since the early 1990s. Nor would I have returned to her. The office staff are also friendly and hugely helpful I found the dentist's father, who was also a dentist, about 2 decades ago. Wow, just wow.

I have been going to Dr. Abrahamson for 16 years now and have always had a good experience. The thing I most like about this Dentist is I don't feel like she "upsells" me, telling me I need work done that I don't in fact need. For many years now I've had good checkups and the office staff has been professional and accommodating. Why go anywhere else?
