Dr. Judy Pinckley Rawls

I’ve been under the care of Dr. Rawls and her staff for over twenty years through both routine and emergency care. My care thought out this time has been simply outstanding and extremely thorough.

I love this office and the Dr. They are a very caring group of health care workers. They always quickly respond to any situation that I have had come up and they are very considerate to your needs.

She is horrible and should lose her license

I've been going to Dr. Rawls since the 90s. She is a superb physician and her staff and Nurse practitioners are phenomenal. No issues after over 25 years as a patient.

My husband and I have had numerous appointments with Dr. Rawls over the past ~33 years and have complete confidence in her. She always thoroughly answers all of our questions and has taken excellent care of us from day 1. Through the years we have had numerous appointments with her Nurse Practitioners and they have always taken exceptionally great care of us too. The PAs, RNs and lab are all very smart, wonderful, and caring people. Her office staff are always courteous, professional, helpful and kind. Lastly, we have never had to wait very long for an appointment.

Highly incompetent. I came in for a follow-up after a major medical emergency, which is standard procedure. Dr. Rawls did nothing, but ask me why I was there. The primary care physician is supposed to coordinate care management. I don't understand how she has a medical license. The only thing she can treat is a common cold.

My mother went in to get her results for a physical exam at 11am. She waited and didn't get called in until 1pm. She was told that Dr. Rawls was dealing with a difficult patient, and she understood. She came in and asked how she was doing, and my mother answered honestly, "fine, I am just a bit tired from the wait, that's all." She responded with being aggressive and slamming her pencil down, slamming equipment in place, and answering our questions with "there's nothing for that" and other cut throat answers, then left. We understood the difficult patient, but there was little justification to transfer that anger and frustration onto my mother. The professionalism was lost, and her answers, and attitude towards my mother could be considered rude. She couldn't be less helpful. Doctor Rawls has provided excellent health care for me for over 30 years. Doctor Rawls is responsible for saving my life because of her super care. I have never had to wait over 10 minutes for an appointment due her efficient staff.

To say Dr. Rawls is incompetent and lacking in bedside manner would be an understatement. Her attitude and tone are so abrasive is frightening. She is so rude it seems as if she resents her patients. Frankly, I’m afraid to leave my medical care in her hands, and wouldn’t recommend her to anyone, especially if you’re actively involved in your own healthcare and like to ask questions.

Dr. Rawls is an excellent doctor. She knows what she is talking about. She is brisk, but she is one of the most highly intelligent family practitioner physicians' around in this area. I have been seeing her for 12 years, and I always see her when I need medical advise or attention. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to receive the best medical attention around in this area.-CBH

She doesn't seem to like patients very much. Or maybe she just personally doesn't like me and acts rude and like she's superior

An incredible dumb and rude doctor who takes no time to explain things and probably should be on medication for her attitude. She messed up on my prescriptions and hung on me when I called her regarding that fact. I will be filing a formal complaint against her professionalism.

I've seen the Nurse Practitioners more than I've seen the Doctor and they do a great job. I've talked to the Doctor on the phone and she's a bit brisk but she listens to you and helps you with any problems. If you're wanting a touchy-feely doctor this probably isn't the doctor for you.

PLease do not go see this doctor. She is highly unprofessional and missed up my prescriptions several times. She is an idiot and rude and I will be filing an official complaint.

She is thorough in her assessments and takes the time to talk to you.

One of the sweetest and most down to earth doctors I've ever met. Very attentive to my needs, listens to my input about my medication, and not judgemental at all when I needed help with smoking cessation. I love this doctor's office and feel comfortable in their care.

I have been a patient since 2002 and up until 2010 I would have recommended her. I have only continued see her since she has my health history. The visit has removed all confidence In her practice. Until 2007 she had another dr in her practice. Now she has only has the help of 3 nurse practitioners who cannot write prescriptions for all drugs. I went on Thursday and they sent me a ct scan and would not write a scipt until results, and Dr wasn't available.

Very poor bedside manner. Office hours are inconvenient - she doesn't work on Fridays and takes long lunches. Support staff is kind, but handcuffed by bad policies. Look elsewhere unless all you need is a quick fix for a cold.

I've had a good experience with most of the nurse practitioners at the office but not with Dr. Rawls herself. She is pushy and rude. And should you need to call on a weekend to let her know you're having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic you were prescribed, she'll be sure to let you know that you're interrupting her lunch. Pathetic. I've been going to this office for several years and have now decided to take my family of 8 elsewhere.

I have been a patient here for 15 years. I am 76 and have obviously experienced many medical practices, having lived in 7 states over the years. Dr. Rawls and staff at the Family Practice of Madison have exceeded my expectations on all areas, especially in proper diagnosis, treatment, and referrals at the appropriate times. I have been treated with utmost respect by everyone here. I do recommend her to my friends and family. I consider myself and family fortunate to be a patient here.

Thought I'd done this but downloaded app so maybe duplicate. Basically I've used Dr. Rawls for years. So has my wife, 2 stepsons now 17 & 19, & my 4 year old daughter. They are GREAT with my 4 year old. They really work with us when we need special care. Very friendly staff & knowledgeable Dr's and assistants/ practitioners. Wait times very reasonable except for a couple of outliers. Used to think they were X-ray happy when it came to sinus trouble but that's abated. Our family Dr fullstop

I too had gone to Dr. Judy for at least 10 years. I thought she was a good doctor until she told me after 10 years that she thought I was bipolar. She had me look at the bipolar sheet of about 15- 20 questions and when I told her that I only saw maybe 1 or 2 that might apply she said I think you're bipolar but you just don't want to admit it. I had a psychiatrist I was going to for ADHD and I talked to a counselor every 4-6 weeks. Wouldn't they have been able to diagnose bipolar disorder?

Anyone who has a problem with dr Rawls and staff has a problem themselves. She is competent professional and pleasant the staff there was professional and competent as well finally after 5 yrs in al I have found a place I feel can meet my needs I give them 10 stars

Office staff is incredibly rude and argumentative. I have been coming to this office for over 10 years and have finally had enough. I've waited for hours in the lobby only to be told that my name was not put in the queue (What!?), had the office manager argue with me about getting a copy of my medical records, and most recently, was treated like a drug seeker when I attempted to make an appointment to refill my antidepressant med which isn't a controlled substance or a type of pain medication.

Never had a problem with this office or staff. All professionals and friendly. Made them my regular family physician.

I thought I was going to really like this place, however I am very disappointed. When it comes to their mistakes, they do nothing. The offered solution is to have the patient absorb the cost of the practices mistakes. I am VERY unhappy with this Dr. office. I can not, and do not recommend them.
