she is a nice person. i went to her a long time. i always thought drs spent less than 3 minutes with you. i now have a dr who talks, listens and is patient. i had never had that, dr gershowitz was so fast. honestly i think in all the years of going to her she spent at absolute most 5 minutes with me every year. my new dr has spent more time with me in two appointments, than this dr in 25 years

A caring person and a very fine doctor. I am sorry to learn that she has retired. I wish her weil.

Dr. Gershowitz listen and gives studied information and advice. She is a wonderful person to have as a gynecologist. And Greta who is her right hand office staff is absolutely delightful and efficient

You can tell Dr. Gershowitz really cares about her patients and their well-being. No one I knew had a gynecologist within my insurance network, so I took a leap with Dr. Gershowitz; so glad that I did! She instantly feels like someone you've known for years and makes sure all of your questions are answered before you leave. I would definitely recommend her! Sad to hear that staff was rude-I haven’t had that experience. I’ve been with Dr. G for 22? 24? years. I’m 47 now and live in Rockland County and still see her every year for my annual exam. I have been a patient of Dr. Gershowitz since I was 19. That is basically when the earth cooled and we all walked upright. Amazing doctor. She is patient, concerned and compassionate, yet a very frank NY woman. She builds relationships with her patients AND She is ALWAYS booked months in advance. But... emergency? She is at NYU or Beth Israel just call it in and let her service know. Receptionists. BUSY! But they have never been rude. If they were, I'd say so. Look, it's all in how you approch it, like anything. As I said she books months in advance so if you call looking to get in tomorrow to renew your OC then no, it's not happening, don't push it. Her former office on 32nd was much more hospitable for parking and the Lex Ave line but her University Pl location is great for transit as well. Love her and won't switch doctors until she retires. Dr. Gershowitz is sweet, delicate and the kind of Doctor who is simply able to LISTEN.

Dr. Gershowitz has been my doctor for 39 years. The only time she ever disappointed me was when she was out on maternity leave and wasn't available to deliver my daughter. She more than made up for that when my son was born and when I had other problems. Love her and I travel from NJ to continue using her as my doctor.
