Dr Astruc is awesome ????

Extraordinary care by Dr. Astruc as always during the 3+ years as his patient.

This review is for Dr. Juan A. Astruc, Jr of the Retina Institute of Virginia in Richmond Virginia. After being treated by four Retina Specialists over an eleven year period for degraded vision in my left eye I selected Dr. Juan A. Astruc, Jr to perform a vitrectomy on the retina in my left eye. I had tried multiple other less invasive treatments over the eleven years and none were satisfactory for the long term. Dr. Astruc made me feel completely at ease about the surgery, answering all of my questions in detail. It is now six months after the operation and the results of the surgery have surpassed my highest expectations. From my experience and perspective Dr. Astruc's surgical skills, pre and post surgical care were and are outstanding. I feel that I was indeed fortunate to have such as skilled and caring physician.

Dr. Astruc has been treating my mother’s wet and dry macular degeneration for more than 15 years. He is a compassionate and highly skilled physician. And funny! My mother credits her ability to still have the vision required to read and work puzzles to the treatment decisions that Dr. Astruc has made during the course of her treatments. We are grateful for the care that he has given her. (D. Wilson)

Dr. Astruc and his staff made room for me on an emergency basis when it seemed I might have a retina issue. They were all very helpful and professional. Dr. Astruc has a great "bedside" manner and educated me about all I needed to know to care for my eyes through this time. Grateful for their help!

I am incredibly grateful to have found, and been treated by Dr. Astruc and his affable, skilled staff. I have chronic Uveitis and have seen many specialists in several states at prestigious institutions. Dr Austuc introduced a novel strategy that has been a game changer for me. I’m very impressed with his knowledge, skill and remarkable care.

Dr Astruc is a doctor that we the people could have everywhere you go. Mr Astruc my hat is off to ya for been what a doc need to be in these times is so rare i lost my wife of 37 years of marriage and 47 years of being together June 24th of 22 and to watch what she had to go through with these hospitals and their staffs was disgraceful and to have a doctor like Mr Astruc make one to believe there is still hope out here

Dr Astruc is an excellent doctor. He has performed surgery on each of my eyes over the last 10 yrs. Both surgeries turned out great and my vision is better than ever.

he is a fabulous doctor and really kind along with his staff. Really hate to leave the practice but we moved to far to travel back to Williamsburg.

Beautiful office, friendly and professional staff from the moment you walk in to the time you leave. Dr. Astruc is super knowledgeable and patient when explaining what is occurring medically. I arrived relatively nervous and left with great information about how to care for my eyes.

I have been a patient of Dr Astruc for 4 + years. I would recommend him 100 times over. I am pleased with his service concerning my eye challenges. Dr. Astruc is an excellent doctor. He saw my husband in an emergency situation for a detached retina, working him into his very full schedule. His staff was courteous, professional, friendly, and so helpful. Dr, Astruc's exam was thorough, and he was so patient and calm as he explained what had happened, and how to resolve it with immediate laser surgery. He walked my husband through every step, keeping him calm and comfortable. He is an excellent doctor, and we are grateful to have found him!
