As a new patient, received notification, appointment time needs to be changed. Instead, date was over month later with new time. The date was later changed to original appt and time changed only, after I contacted in patient portal. Upon arrival of appointment, wait was extremely long. After 45 minutes name not called, advised as soon as a room was available, I will be called. It is also important scheduling get it correct when scheduling status, new appointment or existing appointment. Of course, the allotted time was 10 minutes given as an existing patient. A doctor is only as good as their staff!

Extremely poor patient care. Wait forever for an appointment , wait for follow up and then office cancels appointment without notifying patient who shows up for appointment and told they can’t be seen or squeezed in because doctor going on vacation …want to reschedule for a month down the road. Done with this physician due to lack of concern or consideration for her patient

i had an appointment today 2-1-23 at 12:10. I arrived at 12:00 and was told that i would have to wait 1 hour, she was behind. Are you serious? Someone could have called patients and tell us to show up an hour later. Rather have us all sitting in the waiting area and maybe we could all get covid. What a great idea! What a waste of time and what is management thinking?

Worst experience ever. Very unprofessional, very rude doc,.. But worst thing is … a big bad scar left after surgery , already one year after surgery and scar gets bigger and bigger.

She did exactly what she was supposed to do. Was friendly and considerate.

Worst Dermatologist ever!! Has no bedside manner, rushes you, has no idea what the patient is in for. Doesn’t pay attention to other meds or conditions you have, gives you wrong treatments and just doesn’t seem to care! Don’t go and waste your time or money!!

Dr. Jester has literally saved my life! My skin condition was so bad I was on the verge of very bad things. Dr. Jester and Judy and their whole team are just awesome! Have taken care of multiple insurance issues all the while making sure I do not go without my meds. Thank you Dr. Jester, Judy and the rest of your team!

Really disappointed with the schedulers and front desk employees. The first appointment that I made for Joy Jester was canceled because she had a wake to attend. These things happen, so I rescheduled for the next available appointment which was not available until over 1 month later. On my way to this rescheduled appointment there was a car accident on the expressway which delayed me 20 minutes. I called the office as I was en route to explain that I was going to be late and to please check with the doctor if I could still be seen. I also detailed that I was traveling from 36 miles away for this appointment, and that I would prefer to know before my arrival if I could still be seen or not. The first operator told me that she would try to get in touch with someone at the office (she was not physically there), but instead sent me back to the automated call options. The second operator also said she would try to check with Dr. Jester’s front desk, but ultimately sent me to a voicemail box. I finally arrived at the office and explained to the front desk person my situation (for the 3rd time). She shook her head as if inconvenienced and said she would ask the doctor but her schedule was already full. I said thank you and waited. When she returned she said, “Sorry, her schedule is full, she can’t see you”. I’m not even entirely sure she explained my situation to the doctor, but ultimately she didn’t even offer to reschedule the appointment. Absolutely terrible and inefficient communication and lack of consideration. Yes, I was late due to circumstances that were out of my control, but this office couldn’t even get me to the front desk to alert the doctor of my late arrival? Not even an offer to reschedule? I am giving her a second chance, the first time I went I asked for a full body scan and she only looked at the couple places of concern that I showed her and that I could see, she did not exam anywhere else. I have gone previously to another dermatologist who did a full body scay from head to toe but that doctor has since retired......but I will give her a second chance as I have another appt coming up. I will let you know how that goes

Resolved my problem that several other doctors couldn't in 1 visit

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.I was eager to have my appt.having never saw a dermatologist before.I waited a few months to get in for this appt.,which was fine & understandable.I came with notes of written ?'s eager to discuss.Dr. disregarded my concerns & questions, basely listened to me & went straight into trying to recommend medications.This Dr. was with me for maybe 5 min. she even entered the room without saying hi or introducing herself. Then when leaving she didn't even say bye, just walked out the room. Keep in mind she even was making her way towards the door while I was talking to insinuate she was leaving during our appt.Patients deserve better, patients deserve to work with passionate doctors who truly want to make a difference in their speciality.I even listed & mentioned my family history of skin cancer and this was not even discussed..Very very disappointed, this was a waste of time & copay. I waited for 30 minutes only for a 5 minute appt. with a dr. who didn't even want to help

Dr. Jester was a blessing to my life. I'm so grateful to have met her. I've been seen by countless doctors and sat in my share of emergency rooms... only to find out nothing was wrong with me or they simply didn't have the answers. My complaints were many with the ignoring symptoms to match. Five long years later I meet the one who cared enough to look me in my eyes and tell me she understands. I have no idea how the doctor is, but I know after being told by my insurance company that I could go there I double checked with the office and they said they’d check. I never received a call back. Then, I decided to give them another call and someone said oh yes we take your insurance(which is probably why I was referred to them) but it’s always good to double check... so they scheduled me for an appointment for that day which was sudden but still better than no appointment. A few minutes later I got a call and they said oh you can’t come because my PCP is not in the same group. So, unless you’re part of this group, I wouldn’t waste your time. Dr. Jester has helped me through various dermatology issues. Always great outcome. Superb bedside manor.

Awful awful... no heart should not be recommended especially for children !!!!!! Rushed assembly line ! I will spread the word. Please go elsewhere for your care . I wish we would have read reviews first!!

rushed, had to ask questions as she was near bolting through the door. I have NEVER had any medical person make me feel like I was on an assembly line. She is very knowledgeable but I do not know if this is DuPage's fault that she felt she could only have minutes with me..or hers.

How was my experience? Terrible. She gets you in and out so fast, you may not get what you went in for. Terrible bedside manner. Usually I don’t go out of my way to give bad reviews. Not sure how she has so many good ones on DMG sight.

I visited Dr. Jester for blemishes which seemed to “appear” periodically and she was very stand-offish; her assistant never once acknowledged me or introduced herself but sat with her back to me the entire visit typing on her laptop. What was super insulting was that I was told that I was causing the issue and to simply “stop scratching” these blemishes into existence—as if I was crazy and just imagining things. As she left the room she casually remarked that “Vaseline works great.” A second opinion with another doctor soon thereafter provided an actual diagnosis which confirmed the blemishes did just appear out of nowhere. I was given a treatment regimen and options and treated as a human person. If you’re AA, or a human person, you may want to steer clear of Jester. My experience was not good, however now that dupage medical has taken over, there are more dermatologists to choose from. I went to a surgeon at dupage medical for my issue and he was able to remove it so all turned out well.

HORRIBLE PT SERVICE! I will never schedule with her again! She is a horrible Dr.! She doesn’t take the time to help you!She told me that she didn’t have time to do a procedure that was mandatory! She ignored me when I asked questions, and talked over me! And she has the nerve not to accept Medicaid, I felt like I cramp after the way that she talked to me.My abscess drained while we were talking.. and she just handed me some sterile gauze and peroxide and had me clean myself! Very UNACCEPTABLE!!

My experience here was horrible!!! She puts a bad name on the Dupage Medical Group !!

Will send you home with a bunch of products at once and won't tell you how or when to use any of them. If you tell her the products aren't working, she'll just pile on more products instead of changing them. More products sold equals more money. As far as I'm concerned that's all she cares about. She giggled at me when I said I hate looking at myself and all I want is to be happy with myself when i look in the mirror. Never going back again.

Dr. Jester took time to answer my daughters questions about psoriasis. She was nice, patient and listened. I would highly recommend.
