Waited about an hour or more to see Dr. Fox and finally he walked into the office all friendly and chipper. However, that demeanor quickly changed. He was rude, egocentric, and dismissive, quick to prescribe medications but neglecting to give instructions on how to use them. He already had two feet out the door in the middle of my trying to ask him, saying he had given me the required time. WHAT??!! I am now stuck with a bunch of prescriptions and have no idea how, or exactly where, or for how long to use them. The next day I called the office hoping I would reach him and spoke to a nurse who said he wasn't in, to call back next week, and then she very rudely hung up on me. Stay as far away as you can from this doctor and save yourself a lot of aggravation!!

Dr. Fox and his staff made my experience enjoyable while there, especially for a procedure that can be very painful. They were on top of everything that needed to be done and did a great job and helped to ease my pain as Much as possible and went above and beyond.

Very knowledgeable , Accurate diagnosis and treatment

I was very satisfied with the way I was treated. The doctor and staff was very professional and I feel very much at ease.

I have absolute confidence in Dr Fox and he is extremely reassuring.

I was able to see Dr. Fox on an urgent problem. What a relief!

All good great treatment laser treatment

He is the best and oldest in United States for Laser ; he is a spry older man and loves his work ; I have done several lasers with Dr Fox and have recommended him over 40 times to my family and friends ; and easily all look 10 years younger ; I thanked Dr Fox for not retiring …. But I also think he is funniest man I ever met ; and his decades of skill are only topped by his excellent sense of humor

Friendly, Comforting, Amazing experience. Might be just a little busy so be on time for your appointment but I would recommend this to anyone.

I've been a patient of Dr. Josh Fox for over 20 years. He's the best; totally stellar skills and very pragmatic. He's always up-to-date on the New-New, in his field. I have never forgotten my experience with Dr. Fox. I received fraxel laser about 8 years ago and whereas it turned out very well everything else was a turn off. The man had dirt under his fingernails. It was disgusting. He was entirely dismissive and rude to the female staff and when I (female) would ask questions, he would respond to my father. Right when I was about to get surgery, a group of students came in and at the last minute he said "you don't mind if they watch, do you"? Some advanced noticed would have been nice. My mom (75) went in last year for a check up and he tried to hard sell her on laser surgery. This man doesn't seem to like or respect women. My Father used him to remove basel cells and he even commented how curt he was to a young nurse there. Seems to have a large ego and issue with women. My Dad agreed not to see him anymore. Dr. Fox was professional and pleasant at the same time. Took care in evaluating my issues. His office staff was wonderful!

A very fruitful one. He led me to my next step of treatment and I extremely grateful.

With a wealth of knowledge spanning 4 decades, There’s literally nothing he hasn’t seen on skin before. A multi system approach, so that the individual is treated, not just the condition. An inherent ability to connect your skin to your whole person without separating it as a foreign entity and understanding the intricacies of your health and how it plays out on your skin, enables Dr. Fox to get to the root of the problem, instead of just treating the surface. If you are part of the auto immune population and need the right dermatologist he will find the best approach for your condition as well as the right diagnosis!

Disgusting. I was sitting up in the exam chair as he walked into the exam room, straight at me and his private hit my leg. It was no accident, he knew what he was doing.

Dr. Fox was patient and caring with me while treating a cist on my forehead. He removed it with a laser and it has been healing very well. Dr Fox is a superb Dermatologist,caring ,extremely knowledgeable,very in tune with his patients,he takes his time to carefully do examinations,sometimes finding malignant growths, and in the process saving lives.As a patient who has the fortuitous luck to be Dr.Fox's patient for sometime now ,having had many thorough exams, and knowing how much he cares I find myself extremely grateful to have him as my physician for all things related to the skin, and I wholeheartedly recommend him, and his great staff ,led by my pal Gigi to anyone in The NYC area needing an exceptionally gifted and intelligent Dr.He has also a wonderful sense of humor too which puts immediately at ease.So,for anyone needing a great Dermatologist make an immediate appointment now, and you will be grateful you did!

Dr. Fox is a professional doctor who is extremely kind. He understood my medical needs and treated me accordingly. I would definitely recommend Doctor Fox as a great dermatologist.

I scheduled an appointment and showed up right on time. The receptionist asked me which doctor I was seeing and she promptly handed me a clipboard to sign in. 2 hours later I have still not seen Dr Fox so I go up to the front desk and ask what the holdup is. The receptionist looks at the clipboard and tells me I signed the wrong one, despite the fact that she had handed it to me. The icing on the cake, however, was after I finally saw Dr Fox for a total of ~20 minutes after waiting for 3 hours after my appointment time to see him. I had to schedule a follow up appointment. I request an early appointment. The receptionist tells me I can't make my appointment that early because I was, and I quote "very late for my appointment". I promptly walked out and have never returned since. Dr Fox was a nice man although somewhat dismissive of my questions but that by no means made up for the abysmal lack of communication and ineffective staff. Despite some glitches with my referral, the staff was very helpful in solving the problem and I was able to see the doctor. I am pleased with Dr. Fox's and his internist's care. I left feeling hopeful that my problem will be solved.

Dr. JOSHUA FOX has been my dermatologist for 12 years. And quality care takes time and is worth waiting for ! Three years ago when my insurance company took away my IVIG gamma globulin, the first change that started on my body was my skin. Dr. FOX biopsied it but, at his very first look said, "This is Dermatomyositis!" ( A rare autoimmune that only affects 10 out of 1 million people ) well the biopsy came back as being one of the positive types of Dermatomyositis, unfortunately the diagnosis was shot down by the local rheumatologist ! Over these last three years my condition unfortunately deteriorated and I have been re-biopsied coming back positive each time and his other coordinating specialty dermatologists, also diagnosed me with the same this past summer which is now agreed with by my Oncologist who is now ordering the IVIG gammaglobulin again for me, even though I am nine years in remission from CA. And I have just met my second cousin for the first time through 23 and me who also has Dermatomyositis ! Coordinating care isn't easy, finding the correct diagnoses often takes years; choosing the right lab for a biopsy is crucial. But finding the right team to trust for your life is PRICELESS ! The worst Dr. experience ever. I arrived on time as I always do for any Doctor appointment. Waited hrs in waiting room. Finally was brought into an exam room where another hour went by. Asked to use restroom when someone was in hall. En-route to restroom saw Dr. Fox and a few other Docs in the practice sitting around shooting the breeze in an office while throwing a ball around. Some had feet up on desk. No concern for patients waiting. Arrogant, immature and totally unprofessional. The Dr who finally came in to see me wasn’t even Dr. Fox. Never went back and would advise others to steer clear.

It totally don’t make any sense to be on hold for 25min on and off just to cancel an appointment. Receptionist kept coming back on the phone ( about 5 times) just to say “ hold on” when she could of just answered the call and cancel the appointment. Need a better system or need more workers.

The doctor was in a rush, she gave generic responses. Totally unsympathetic nor empathetic. What kind of doctor is this? He has untrimmed and dirty fingernails. The second I saw his nails, I wanted to jump out of my chair and run away. How can he take biopsies from my face without gloves? I had to sign paperwork agreeing for treatment not even knowing what the treatment will be. The doctor sprayed my face and I am now suffering with painful bubbles in those areas. My skin was painfully burned. He didn't explain how to take care of my skin after the procedure and escaped from the room the moment he finished. His assistant did not clean my face despite the doctor telling her to do so. I left the office with the letter S on my cheek from the doctors marking pen. The doctor does not explain anything. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Fox at Advanced Dermatology in Fresh Meadows for over a decade for various skin-care needs. He is a very skilled, knowledgeable, wonderful and caring doctor. I went to Dr. Fox to have a mole on my chin removed. I was very worried about the procedure and about how my chin will look. Dr. Fox put me at ease and after the mole was removed and it healed, everything looked great. I recommend Dr. Fox to everyone. Dr. Fox is the type of doctor I wish all my doctors were like! His genuine caring nature and obvious desire to help made me feel at ease while having my procedure done! After treatment, my scar which I was extremely self conscious had vanished completely. My friends and family were in awe of the "new" me!

My teenage daughter felt uncomfortable with him! He didn’t really say anything useful we told him my daughter didn’t do well with benzoyl peroxide and he went ahead and prescribed it! Didn’t tell us anything about the meds he prescribed either!

This was my first visit to Dr Fox whereas my husband has been a regular patient. He has always raved about the doctor, and I must say his positive compliments were certainly well warranted.

Dr. Fox has been our family Dermatologist for a few years now, My son and I decided to remove some moles in our face and in other areas of our body. I always thought that it was a procedure only done by Plastic Surgeons and therefore it would be very expensive so we put it off for many years. Dr. Fox removed three moles I had in my face and he is also removing my sons. I am happy to say that it was a very simple, fast, painless and inexpensive procedure. Thank you Dr. Fox.

I had a confirmed appointment with Dr. Fox and was requested to come in earlier in order to fill out the new patient paperwork. later I received an automotated call to remind me of my appointment. On the day of my appointment I arrived a 1/2 hour earlier as requested and was infomed that the Doctor was running behind. He had 8 scheduled patients ahead of me. I refused to wait to see him. He has no respect or consideration for his patients and must have forgotton the Hippocratic Oath

Dr. Fox, is a very caring and understanding doctor. He understands your care and knows what he's doing.

A very thorough, compassionate doctor who diagnosed my condition accurately when other doctors couldn't. Office staff is extremely pleasant. I would highly recommend this practice and doctor.

Dr. Fox is the best dermatologist in New York. Period. I have been a patient since 1997 and have had many procedures done by this extremely skilled physician. My mother and my sister have also been patients. The results of the procedures performed by Dr. Fox have always exceeded our expectations. We have recommended Dr. Fox to many friends, who have been very pleased with his outstanding work. We are so grateful to have found this incredibly talented doctor. What a gift to New York!

Dr. Fox was very personable, knowledgeable and took his time to explain various procedures. He was available to answer questions and contacted me several times post procedure as to my recovery.

Excellent doctors and staff but the wait time is too long, rarely less than 45 minutes and sometimes two hours. Somewhat eccentric but fine. But it's worth the wait because of the excellent care.

I called to ask if they offer a service, they said they did. When I arrived they said they do not yet offer it to the public, since they just got it.

Instead of being chief of dermatology being a chief clown is a much better title for this guy (Joshua Fox of 58-47 188th Street, Fresh Meadows, NY). I came to his office, waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes. He comes in and says “are you here for a check up or check down” whatever that means (even his nurse did not understand his jokes). I told him why I was there, without telling what he was going to do he sprayed something in my face, which made it hurt very much. When I told him that it hurt, he said “it does not hurt me”. After spending no more than a few minutes and treating me without any respect, he just walked out (no buy, no nothing, he did not even explain the spray that he applied to my face). When I asked the nurse where he went and if I can find out what he did to me, she said that I would have to wait because he went to see another patient. At this point, my patience ran out and I just left. However, I had to come right back, as when I looked at my face in the car mirror I noticed that it was swollen because of the spray he applied. When I came back, I asked the nurse to tell me what he did to me. She showed me my chart, where they have documented that I was explained everything (both verbally and in writing) before the spray was applied – WHICH WAS CLEARLY FALSE. In any case, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. WORST EXPIRENCE EVER! Great dermatologist who truly cares about his patients! You can tell he knows the various disease states and how to effectively treat his patients. Also offers an array of cosmetics: fillers, Botox, lasers, PRP, hair restoration. Highly recommended.

I have been a patient of dr fox for many years and with every issue ive had hes been able to provide the proper medication and care and ive improved. Along with his excellent care he has also been very honest when ive asked him about cosmetics. Most doctors want to upsell me and dr fox is the oposite. I highly recommend dr. fox for any laser procedure. dr. fox is an extremely skilled doctor. I have lasered my face multiple times for sun damage and rejuvenation,. the results are terrific. the price is the most competitive. dr. fox has lasered away sun damage spots. dr. fox is also an extremely qualified in all dermatologic diagnosis and treatment from my personal experience

Office wait time to be seen by doctor is way too long. Office waiting room is small and crowded. Doctor appears to be quick and efficient in his examination.

Terrible, he mocks you and makes you feel like an idiot. I saw him pull my mom's hair and say to my father, "Huh, women...it's all in their heads!" I found him highly inappropriate and I will never visit his practice again.
