Joseph H. Wu

I was switched to Wu when my doctor left the practice. I am a pretty easy patient, my last doctor helped me sort out any medical issues I had and I pretty much only go to the doctor for medicine/check ups. He is refusing to prescribe medications that I've been on for over a decade without any explanation or backup treatment. I have really been struggling sine.He could not care less about you.

I have been with Dr. Wu for 11 years, since the day I moved from Los Angeles to Alabama. He is excellent in every way a patient should care about. I being his only LVAD patient, and now heart transplant recipient, I was unique to him. I have many special needs including medications. Dr. Wu always went through great pain to study up, double check, and ensure he was doing all the right things. He is thoughtful, compassionate, and attentive. When appropriate, he deferred to my transplant team. A doctor who puts his patient before any ego. Sadly I am losing him as my primary care provider and he will be sorely missed and most difficult to replace. Whomever might get him, I highly recommend him.

I've been bringing my patient to see Dr. Wu for about 4 years. When we first started seeing Dr. Wu we would have given him a five star rating! But over the last 9 months or so we feel like Dr. Wu is no longer listening to our concerns,etc. He kept brushing off my patients symptoms, and if it hadn't been for us caregivers we would have never figured out what was going on with her health. Because we kept searching for answers.She was diagnosed with A-FIB at the ER that's when Dr. Wu finally referred us to Dr. Hanna who by the way is an excellent Doctor!! Dr. Hanna and his team listened to our concerns, and ended up having to put a pacemaker and watchman in my patient. We really liked Dr. Wu's Nurse Practitioner, but his other nurse can be a bit rude at times. I've been bringing my patient to see Dr. Wu for about 4 years. If you give him any less than 5 stars then you obviously don't know him as a doctor. Dr. Wu is hands down one of the best MD's in Birmingham. He is very attentive, has an awesome bedside manner, and damn good at what he does! I highly recommend Dr. Wu!

Dr. Wu is the most compassionate Dr. I have ever met. Also one of the smartest. I recommend him highly.

He was extremely rude and condecending. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy.
