I saw him at MetroHealth in Cleveland for headaches and memory problems. When I said I was having memory problems he literally looked at me and laughed and goes "memory problems huh? Well you're 28" he didn't really listen to anything I had to say and if I would try to ask him about a symptom I was having he'd just laugh and then told me my headaches are probably just from my birth control and we didn't even talk about my memory problems he said we'd get to it next time but I won't be back to see him I left my appointment crying because I KNOW something is going on with my head and this doctor didn't care enough to even order a single test. He also had his mask under his nose the entire visit.... I had Dr. Wapenski at Kaiser, in Georgia, and absolutely loved his bedside manner. He was thorough, spent more than enough time going over my new diagnosis, and listened to all of my concerns. Because I never had a specialist take his or her time with me as Dr. Wapenski, I was extremely distraught when had to leave for a family emergency, back in Pennsylvania. I actually broke down crying when he told me he was leaving. Since he’s been gone, I have had nothing but subpar and negative experiences with neurologists, that I’ve started to self treat to avoid having to see my doctor (neurologist). If he came back to Georgia, I’d be the first person to sign up as his patient. A lot of patients want to be coddled and babied, which is absolutely their right! But I prefer a doctor who is going to shoot straight from the hip, tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly, which is how Dr. Wapenski is.
