I had a terrible experience at this office and decided not to go back even before meeting the surgeon. The front office was rude. 3 individuals were chatting and completely ignored me while I waited on crutches for 5 minutes to check in. Once checked in we were in the room for almost an hour. I had to go to the front desk to ask why we were waiting for so long and they rolled their eyes saying they are taking care of other patients. Then they proceeded to tell me that our appointment was 45 minutes later but they told me to come 45 minutes early to do paper work(which took less than 5 minutes to complete). At last the PA came to the room. She did not start the dialogue but blankly stared at me and my sister so I proceeded by asking if she saw the MRI. She confirmed and then I had to probe the diagnosis and surgery procedures. She didn't examine me until last few minutes and evaluated my knee and range of motion reluctantly. No need to see the doc with that staff.

Dr Vernace performed a knee replacement on my father in law with cellulitis and he was readmitted a week later with fever, pain,swelling etc. Infection was present on admission but surgery done anyway.

I was misdiagnosed by 6- yes SIX- doctors before finding Dr Vernace . Took him 5 minutes to diagnose that I needed a hip replacement. Changed my life and forever grateful, Highly recommend .

Dr vernace has performed bilateral knee replacements on me and a hip replacement 16 days ago. He is a fine surgeon with outstanding surgical technique. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. You are in excellent hands with this gentlemanly

Premier surgeon. Revered by all patients, peers, staff, hospital OR staff and PT. He is always there for his patients and far superior than larger practices.

I fell on black ice on 2/16/16 and tore my quad tendon. I first contacted Rothman, which totally mishandled my situation. They took x-rays and did an mri, then waited 6 days to call me to tell me what Dr. Vernace disgnosed with one look. He had done my wife's knee replacements 4 years before. Surgery went perfectly. I had little pain and was off the pain meds after one day. The scar is minimal, and the recovery was quick. I don't see why anyone would want to go anywhere else.

When my local orthopedist's office wouldn't help me (!) I made an appointment with Main Line and saw Dr. Vernace. He was thorough and caring and took care of my issue. His physician assistant is fabulous, too.

Dr. Vernace was the only one who would help me. I was in so much pain. Because I had a few other health issues, Rothman wouldn't touch me. Dr Vernace said" we will get you through this, you will be fine." I trusted him. Although, there was scary moments, Dr. Vernace got me through it. He is great at what he does. Today I have two new knees, the last one done August 3, 2016 and little pain. Thank you Dr. Vernace !

Both knees successfully replaced. Full recovery. Very happy camper.
