It's been years since I've seen this doctor and the last visit I had with him still makes me cry when I think about it. I had been dealing with chronic pain for over 5 years when I saw Mr. Vanden Bosch-no one could tell me why I was in pain. I had CT scans and ultrasounds with no answer. Finally I was referred to Michigan Pain Consultants. After about 5 minutes this guy tells me he's going to do a nerve block. I definitely take the fault for listening to a doctor that spent such little time discussing my issues with me. Later that night my pain had tripled and I paged him after hours to see what I can do and he never returned my call. The office manager had me come in the next day and he tells me NEVER to page him after hours again and it's not his fault he can't help. The part that literally still puts me in tears after 6 years is he told me that it was foolish for me to continue seeing doctors because "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result." I was on the verge of suicide because I could not find help anywhere and he told me that I am insane for seeking assistance from medical professionals. If he's still employed I hope for the sake of the next patient he has changed.
