IF YOU STRUGGLE WITH DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, OR BIPOLAR, DR. STOKES IS NOT FOR YOU!!! I know these reviews are purely opinion-based and taken with a dose of salt, as they should be, but if I can spare just one person from what I went through I will feel better. I switched to Doctor Stokes because I had used and trusted the Community Healthcare network in the past and his office is located less than a mile from my home. My first visit was to treat an ear infection, but I made it clear in that visit that my primary long0term concern was my chronic depression and the medication I took for it. My second visit was specifically to explain to him that I didn't think the medication I was taking was right for me and that my depression symptoms were ramping up to extremes I'd never experienced before. I specifically asked for a psychiatrist recommendation because I knew something was very wrong and wanted to see a specialist. Doctor Stokes then proceeded to explain to me the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist (which I already knew) and sent me on my way without a recommendation for either. Shortly after, I had a major episode that almost hospitalized me and got my placed in an Intensive Outpatient Program with Summa Mental Health. When they pulled my records, Doctor Stokes had put a FOOTNOTE at the bottom of it saying "May have mild depression." Please, please, do not go to Doctor Stokes for anything mental healthy related. The only good thing that came from his care was the chain of events that led me to physicians that actually wanted to listen to my concerns and help me.

I love this Doctor as he goes into details with my care. Also the staff are so friendly and helpful.

Dr. Stokes is an awesome doctor. I just love him. He listens and takes your concerns seriously. I don't go to the doctor very often and he knows when I come to take me seriously. He is so compassionate and it only took one day for him to call back with results for my physical and thyroid results. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Stokes. He is amazing. It's hard to find a doctor that truly listens and is caring. I actually look forward to seeing him when I have to schedule an appointment. Great doctor, great staff.

Dr Stokes is an excellent physician. He is very thorough and explains your options to you regarding your treatment. Hands down he is one of the best! Experienced and knowledgeable.

I believe that he is truly a great doctor. He is patient and kind. He takes time to truly listen to what you are saying and gives helpful advice and guidance. He goes above and beyond for his patients and really cares. I would trust my life with him and highly recommend him to everyone.
