Joseph Conradt Stegman

I have to say that he is the best in his field in the state of NC. I have had encounters with other specialists, doctors, therapists and pharmacists that have said - "it would be great if you could get in with Dr. Stegman" or "you're so lucky you have Dr Stegman." He has been my son's doctor since he left the NICU and I KNOW that I am lucky and that he is an amazing doctor. He is kind, perceptive and intelligent. His staff is great with my son and he feels very comfortable to be himself there. I never have issues getting an appointment made or getting to him or his staff but I use the My Atrium app and message there and request everything I need there and if it requires speaking with someone then I always get a call back. I suggest you install that app on your phone and you'll have no issues.

After fighting with our original PCP for 3 years, we finally got the referral, after a lot of reluctance and arguments. Dr Stegman has helped our son since day one and been doing so for the past 4 years. He came highly recommended from so many people, in and out of the medical field, and hasn't disappointed us yet.

Dr Stegman is a great Dr! But yes getting someone on the phone is hard.

Dr. Stegman is one of the best around. However dealing with the office is unbearable. No one ever answers the phone. And even after leaving messages several times you dont get a return phone call. He is gonna lose patients because of the office staff.

Dr. Stegman is the best but getting anyone on the phone or to return a message is impossible. Dr. Stegman sent over a referral for my child to the person who handles this for him in front of me and 10 days and 4 messages later no return call and no referral. That's absolutely unacceptable.

He is truly the best doctor around. Kind, gentle spirit. Spends time with the child and family hearing their needs, experiences. Explains so that everyone understands. Works with the parent to determine the best way forward (vs other docs that just tell you). His demeanor reminds me of Fred Rogers. Highly recommend!

Dr Stegman is the absolute best. When we did not know where to turn, he was able to give us insight as well as listen to our concerns. We totally trust Dr Stegman. It’s so hard to find someone who we are comfortable with in dealing with these matters.

Dr. Stegman always takes the time to listen to my son's concerns. We always feel understood and helped. We have been working with Dr. Stegman for over 5 years and have nothing but love for him and his office. If someone in your family is struggling behaviorally, consider making an appointment.

I have been with Stegman and the doctors in his office (Gulbronson) since 2010 with Aspergers. While Stegman is nice, and semi helpful, I haven’t found him or this practice very helpful since our original diagnosis. My son does not require meds and therefore doesn’t need an office visit every year. If you don’t go however, this office will disown you as if you son never had a disability and send you back to the regular pediatrician to get a referral (wait Stegman’sOfficeDiagnosedMySon Whaaaa?

I can’t say enough good things about this doctor. He listen and truly cares for our child with a disability. The best doctor we have ever seen!

We have been seeing Dr. Stegman for about 5 years. He listens to our concerns, explains himself thoroughly and has never rushed us during an appointment. He has also made several referrals to other specialists on our behalf.
