Dr. Joseph Nutz is very thorough, genuinely concerned with any issues and takes care of them for my husband and me. He’s an excellent listener and so helpful with medications, explanations of bloodwork, health recommendations, and overall wellness! His staff is delightful answering the phone right away for helping with prescriptions and questions! Prior to moving to this area my husband had stage 4 prostrate cancer and a massive stroke. He is doing really great and Dr. Nutz and his staff make sure to screen him and check all his problem areas. We are extremely satisfied and we highly recommend this practice! Thank you so much for this MDVIP doctor and service! Well worth the yearly fee for all the screenings we get to prevent any further health issues. And they are fun and easy to talk too! Dr Nutz is amazing. I was a patient of Dr Legare in Newton MA for 25 years before he joined MDVIP. I followed him to MDVIP and continued for 2-3 years, after which I moved to North Carolina and Dr Legare set me up with Dr Nutz. Dr Nutz is the same caliber MD as I was used to all those years and the transition was seamless.

Dr Nutz is a kind, knowledgeable and caring Dr. He takes the time to listen to my concerns at each visit and addresses any issues I have. Unfortunately, we have had to occasionally contact him on weekends and his days off and he always gets us through until we can get in to see him. He's the best!

I have been a patient of Dr. Nutz for about 25 years. He is a personable and extremely competent physician of the upmost quality. I trust Dr. Nutz and his very professional staff to provide me the best medical care possible in the area.

Professional, courteous and upbeat! Dr Nutz and his staff have always provided insightful medical care. Any test results are thoroughly explained and recommended self care outlined. Lots of information provided. I plan on continuing with Dr Nutz in his MDVIP practice.

Wonderful doctor and community leader. I know Joe from all his work he does with the Rotary Club in Morehead City. He volunteers with the Hope Mission to serve this less fortunate and prior to COVID he was running yearly mission trips to Haiti. Most important to me is that he has been my doctor for many years. I feel safe and well cared for and wish that every patient could be as blessed as myself.

Absolutely most caring doctor I have ever met. Always takes his time to explain things to me. I always get in y to o see him either same day or early next day when needed. He makes himself available to me nights or weekends. His MDVIP program has spoiled me. I will never want to see another type of doctor.

Not someone that I would trust to hold my ANYTHING! Ever!!!

Turns down all potential patients who have medicare+ tricare for life. Never had any dr in the past turn down my insurances. It is really a shame. It seems that all drs in Morehead tell us the same thing. Who are we to turn to for our care now?

Dr. Joe is an amazing physician and I can not say enough good things about him and how he practices medicine. He is a hero to my family.

Dr. Nutz is a proactive physician with an encyclopedic knowledge of health and wellness programs along with a caring attitude when it comes to medicine, long and short term. I believe he truly cares and looks out for his patient.

My first experiences with Dr. "Joe" were so long ago, almost 20 years ago. I was a lot younger (as was he!!), as healthy as a bull and only seeking out a doctor to keep a check on me. Was there anything I needed to know? That kind of thing. I knew keeping track of my health was important and Dr. Nutz came highly recommended. I had done my homework. So I called the man and gave him a try. From our first visit, this man impressed me. He asked me ABOUT me. Imagine that!! He wanted to know what I did for a living. He was genuinely interested to hear that I spent part of my childhood living in a small house about 100' from his office's backdoor and playing in fields his office now sat upon. He listened! Doctor Joseph Nutz.........is an amazingly good and decent man. He's not just a doctor. He's a husband and father. I see love and care for his family in his eyes when we talk. The pictures in his office......yes, he is an uncommonly good man. From the beginning I felt like more than a number or a chart. This man did not look at me during our visits with visions of his next BMW's payment swimming through his head! He is real and gentle and caring. And that's why I have stuck with him. He's the very best doctor I've ever had. But it's not just me. He cares about his staff too. It's easy to see when I visit. They truly enjoy working for this man and have often told me so. If he was anything less than the decent man he is, that probably wouldn't be true. So, the depth of his care and concern is truly genuine and, honestly and especially in this day and age, amazing! Not only do I consider myself lucky to have Dr. Joe as my personal physician, I also think of Doctor Joseph F. Nutz as my friend. You're a good man Dr. Joe!! And I thank you for your precious time. Dr Nutz is one of the most caring physicians I have ever seen. He constantly looks for opportunities for me to improve my health and encourages me to follow his recommendations. When I have an issue he is thorough and reaches out to other specialist if needed to make sure I get the best care possible. The staff at the practice are friendly and professional in making sure I get the attention I need if I am traveling or home in Morehead City, as soon as possible. Thank you so much! I have, and will continued to recommend Dr. Nutz to my friends. I believe he is an excellent doctor, and just as excellent man. He is warm, caring and attentive. He continues to be one of the main reasons I can continue to live independently.

Dr. Joe has incredible expertise in preventive medicine. His proactive approach to patient care has greatly benefited my overall health.

MDVIP with Dr. Nutz has far exceeded my expectations. He is always available (even when I am traveling) and responds in 5 -15 minutes. He spends quality time with me and he greets me at the door. No waiting!!

I like Dr Nutz honesty and pleasant manner when I have an appointment with him. He is willing to entertain all my questions and never considers anything I say silly or dumb. I’ve learned so much about my health from him. I’ve learned how to be proactive in taking care of myself. On another note his nurse, Courtney, complements him well. She is always so sweet and she is great when it comes to doing all the testing. When I call in when I don’t feel well she always works so hard to take care of me

You will never find a more caring and responsive Doctor. Dr Joe has been a lifesaver and a God send to my family and I in caring for our 92 year old mother.
