I was in need of a my mitral valve replacement for quite a while.. My condition was worsening as time went by, everyday task were becoming impossible to do. After meeting with different surgeons who believed the surgery would be too risky. I was introduced to Dr Newton. The reality is when he agreed to do the surgery he saved my life,My family, and I are forever grateful. My healing process is going very well and I can already see a difference in my quality of life. An outstanding world class Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon in Norfolk , (Virginia). Dr. Newton performed an open heart surgery on my on 06Apr16 under his teams and his exclusive care. I met with him 3 days prior surgery and within less that 12 minutes of my life changing meeting with him in "Sentara Heart Hospital", I was literally blown away as he simplified on what issue I had in my heart, arteries and what need to be done to fix it in a smart schematic he drew in less that 3 minutes to make me understand my heart's issue. Though my condition is sound as I feel, time has come for me to consult again for a post surgery follow-up. I intend to meet with him very soon. Very well done, Dr. Newton. Dr Newton performed an emergency double bypass on my husband August 8th of this year. We were very impressed with the way Dr. Newton listened and answered our questions. Healing after surgery has gone very well. We ate thankful he was the dr on duty when my husband was brought in by ambulance. Our post op appointment went fantastic! The staff is amazing!
