Worst Medical "professional" I have ever seen. I unfortunately didn't read reviews or go with my gut with red flags. Not only do I have issues still after a couple years with the hernia repair, the after care was HORRIBLE. When I was having intense nerve pain & couldn't sleep for several days, they wouldn't see me or help in ANY way. I had to go to a PCP who gave me Gabapentin which helped almost immediately enough to be bearable. I had much pain & swelling for weeks. When I finally went in after about a month (longest time after post op i've ever had), I explained my concerns with the surgery & how I felt about the treatment after in that I felt I couldn't get information or help when I needed it. LoPresti closed my file and told me to never come back. I had a hard time trying to find a surgeon who would do after care for another surgeon's. When I did, that surgeon said they weren't sure why he did the surgery the way he did. I likely have to go get it removed. I dread that after this

I wish I read reviews before my mother's surgery! He is THE WORST!!! My 87 yr old mom had a bowel blockage surgery 12/2018. Said it would take an hour, it took 5 1/2 hrs!!! She got an infection so he went back in 2 wks later and couldn't get to it. He refused to order our requested CT scan prior to her 2nd surgery!! She now has a huge hernia!! Due to the length of time under anesthesia, her mild Dementia was thrown into full gear!! She went for a follow up office visit and began vomiting in his office. He walked out immediately and never came back in!! He's doesn't like when you ask questions and is fast talking! BIG Dr. ego and shouldn't be practicing!!!

I have a Nissan fundiplcation in 2014 and this doctor/gentleman was the best !!! I have Kaiser insurance so we have the Surgery at CMH Ventura. This is 2020 and I’m feeling great!

Had a unbilical hernia procedure done by Dr. Lopresti in October 2019. My follow up appointment was a month after surgery repair and he said i was healing fine. I went back after feeling sharp pains and couldnt sit up in bed on my own without severe pain & discomfort. I made another appointment and he barely touched my stomach and told me to cough telling me your fine kiddo. I was like wait what about the buldge in my stomach he said thats all you kiddo you gained weight then told me to take care and walked out the door dismissimg me and all my concerns. I went to get a 2nd opinion from an out of of network surgeon who confirmed i still had the umbilical hernia. Now I have to go through the procedure all over again after 3 months of pain & suffering and pay shared costs and copays. Wish i would have done more research

I DO NOT recommend Dr. Joesph S. LoPresti. I was asking him questions for my own understanding of the treatment about to be performed and he started yelling at me! He seemed so angry at me for no reason and I asked him if there was a problem and he said that I kept questioning his opinion. He doesn't explain well just like the other reviewer said. He was so aggressive that it made me very uncomfortable and afraid of him. I refused to have anything done after that and I will not be returning.

Dr. Lopresti repaired my hernia about 6 years ago - all went well and is well today. I saw him once, knew what had to be done and scheduled me in for surgery right away.

Currently serve in the military, surgeon was recommended for a procedure. Very little of his time is telling you about the surgery, you will barely see him or keep him in the room to discuss the procedure. He provided no post-op and when complications came, he refused to speak with me in regards to the possibly of it being surgical related. Have to seek another physician to provide care for complications. Do not recommend.
