Dr. Joseph Johnson did an excellent job on my husband's surgery and has taken great care of my husband the entire time. Everybody at AOC has done a great job, been very helpful and very friendly. Our whole experience has been wonderful and we would recommend them to anybody.

Dr Johnson has been taking care of my many foot and bone issues for 20 years. He is always pleasant, competent, and creative in his surgeries and rehab.

Dr Johnson saw my elderly grandfather for the first time after months seeing another doctor without any success. Dr Johnson immediately scheduled him for the surgery he has needed for a few months. Can’t wait to see pops back on his feet again!

I was very impressed with how smooth this operation runs. Rarely do you see a doctor on time and the whole staff is very engaged in the process. Dr. Johnson was so pleasant to talk to and I am confident he is the right doctor to do my ankle replacement surgery. I high recommend this facility.

Dr. Johnson is a very good surgeon and did a great job with my foot surgery. He is also easy to talk to and answered all my questions and concerns before and after surgery. He seems to value his patients and strives to help them in the best way possible.

Arrived 20 minutes early to appointment as directed and found nobody at front desk. After a short wait, and after going straight to X-rays - I was put into a room to wait for Dr Johnson. After a 7-8 minute discussion and seeing the damaged area for 2-3 minutes he left to get referrals and would be back. 5 minutes later a nurse came in to give me a brochure pamphlet with a number to call where I could purchase two possible remedies. Little communication

I have used Dr. Joseph Johnson for two surgeries on my foot. Both surgeries went very well, he is a very competent surgeon. He is very thorough and very easy to talk too. The entire staff at Athens Orthopedic Clinic is excellent.

Facility and staff are very good. Dr Johnson did a good exam an explained possible repair options. He took his time explaining possible surgical repair and recovery time.

Came to Dr. JOHNSON, in March of 2021. Had devastating surgery of my left foot, it had left me not being able to walk on my foot. Went to see my usual Ortho Dr., Dr. Dorris. He looked at my foot and said, you need to see a dr., that specializes in feet and Dr. Johnson was just that Dr! After weeks of recovering after surgery that Dr. Johnson performed on my foot, I then went to Physical Therapy at AOC's PT Dept. Outcome: I have use of my foot again! What would have been a devastating outcome, had I not had surgery by Dr. Johnson, I would be wearing a brace on my foot up to my knee, so I would be able to walk! Now, I am able to wear usual foot wear, instead of the Orthopedic shoe wear! I am forever grateful. This Dr., made a huge difference in my life! My recommendation would be, if you need any extensive Orthopedic surgery, I highly recommend, Dr. JOSEPH JOHNSON and his very professional efficient nursing staff. Dr. Johnson did a revision of my artificial ankle. I have had over 30 total surgeries since my initial injuries in the Military. Dr Johnson is one of the Best Surgeon/Doctor, that I have received care/treatment from. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

Dr. Johnson is the best. He has taken great care of me after a complicated ankle break. He also did my daughter’s wrist surgery and was wonderful with making her feel comfortable. He is the best orthopedic in our area!

Dr. Joseph Johnson is a phenomenal orthopedic surgeon. He had the unfortunate task of performing a third surgery on my ankle that ended up being a complete replacement with tendon relocation. The previous two surgeries were unsuccessful and resulted in Dr. Johnson having to clean up and work around the previous surgeons attempts. I felt at ease and very comfortable within a few minutes of my first appointment. It’s very apparent that he cares for his patience and will see the process through pre-and post surgery. Athens Orthopedic Clinic is absolutely incredible. I’ve been seeing Dr. Joseph Johnson for roughly 8 months now and he’s hands down the best orthopedic surgeon I’ve ever seen. He actually listens to me and thoroughly checks the issue and explains everything in a way I understand without treating me as if I’m dumb. He cares about his patients and how they feel. He completed my 9th surgery and I truly believe I wouldn’t have needed that many if I had been here in the first place. Dr. Johnson is confident in his work but he’s not cocky. He is kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend him and AOC in general, as even his nurses are amazing. I had recently visited over 6 Drs in approx 3 years regarding my ankle. I was finally approved by instance to got to AOC. I at first was seen by another dr/specialist in ankles and he admitted he wanted Dr Johnson’s opinion on my ankle. I immediately like Dr Joseph Johnson! I felt comfortable with his vision for the future of my ankle needs. I did research and asked many in the Field about him and all were good. I’ve even sent him several others after me who have truly needed at good ankle specialist. So far i have had complete success with my surgery outcome and look forward to many years working with Dr Johnson and staff regarding my ortho health. Was great until the next day when I called 3 times in 4 hours trying to get ahold of a nurse or doctor about my severe pain I am having and trying to get an alternative medication call in to the pharmacy. I know doctors offices can be busy, but at the same time I feel like they have zero since of urgency when it come to this matter. Would have been 5 stars but after the total lack of care and concern from calling in to the Urgent car department, it’s negative 5 stars. Dr Johnson is amazing only great doctor in Athens orthopedic the rest are not good Dr price has messed my neck up so bad. Dr levittt pretty much messed my back up. He pretty much called me a liar about where some family work. They lied so much on my papers, Dr smith I seen 6 months after My Tabula and fibula was cracked his pas was pathetic. They did nothing Dr smith lied saying saying he told me I needed a knee replacement. I wish I could post all the stuff they lied about!!!!!! Kelly prices pa was amazing. Dr Johnson has been nice and my broken foot is healing fine after the surgery. I can’t say the same about his PA David however. He seemed impatient and irritable.
