Dr. Hooper, nurses, and all staff were very helpful. They worked with me and my difficult case until my problem was completely solved. I appreciate everything they did.

Everyone goes the distance to make your visit pleasant. Dr Hooper is the best. I've been seeing him for 17 yes.

Greatest doctor I’ve ever had He gets you in make sure you’re ok and get you out with no problems I’ve been a patient with him now for 4.5-5 years now and I promise I wouldn’t trade him for anyone else

Great staff that makes you feel comfortable & Doctor Hooper is interested in his patients

Been seeing Hooper for over 3 years after seeing Tomeo for about 18yrs in same office. Took me a minute to adjust to a new person. Now that I have I really appreciate him, Dr Hooper is great.

The center for primary care central is always a pleasant experience. All staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Dr. Hooper and his nurse Laice are exceptional! They listen to my concerns and meet my needs in a timely manner. I highly recommend Dr. Hooper and CPC!

I had a rash and he gave me an antibiotic and it was clearing up the next day

A great doctor who appreciates his patients and their schedules. Very accommodating with changes in schedules and the office staff is second to none!!!

The Center for Primary Care is a nice professional establishment and Dr Hooper is a pleasure to have as a physician.

He is very down to earth and has great bedside manners. He has been my husband’s doctor for some time now and occasionally I will see him if my doctor isn’t available. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

I love the way I can usually call and get in quickly. I love the way Dr Hooper checks on his patients. I had to see one of the other doctors this time but Dr Hooper looked at my visit and quickly corrected my medications to more properly fix my medical needs.

Dr. Hooper always seems aloof and somewhat disinterested. Appointments are rushed and I never leave feeling "he got me".

I took my 95 year old aunt along with my 92 year old mother on the coldest and windy day of the year only to find the office closed. They did not tell anyone they would be closed. The next day we returned only for the so called Dr not to look at my aunt and told us that assisted living doesn’t administer medicine to their patients. He also said they were very expensive. How dare he assume we could not pay! We were very, very dissatisfied with him and the entire office! Don’t plan on calling because they will not answer the phone! Never again!!!! There are to many other great Dr to choose from in our area! Don’t settle for him! Dr Hooper has always been my doctor for many years. I was clearly aware of his sarcastic rudeness but just passed it off. But this last time I seen him was when I was seriously ill with extreme case of bronchitis, double ear infection and a sinus infection all at same time. Being already partially deaf, both my ears were clogged to the max and being deaf I could hardly hear anything, he got rude as crap with me cuz I couldn’t hear him and made me feel like I was mentally retarded. He def does not have that bed side compassionate manner about him. But he is a decent doctor, I won’t give him 5 stars but Iv seen worst and just chose to change doctors. I have been a patient of Dr Hooper's since 2007. He treated my parents as well. I moved to Columbia many years ago and still travel back to use him as my primary physician.

I had the unfortunate bad timing to telephone when he was answering after hours calls. He was rude sarcastic and scolding totally unhelpful and made me sorry I bothered him. Beware if this man.

He's been a very good doctor to me my wife my mother and my mother-in-law for several years we're very happy with him!

I have him recorded explaining the hippa violations he committed against me. He claims that people called him and said things about me and he discussed my history with them. MAJOR hippa violation. He doesn’t even know the difference between bupropion (Wellbutrin) and buprenorphine (suboxone) He tried to tell me I was on suboxone and was an addict. I don’t take such a thing. He wouldn’t even right the scripts he had been giving me for years. What a quack shiester .He picked the wrong one to mess with today. He will see legal action. He will get what he deserves. Dr. Hooper has been the worst doctor that I and my daughter have had in our lives. I've been going to the central office and a patient of his for over 4 years now. I have tried to dismiss his rush fullness and disrespectful comments because the rest of the staff has always been very nice and courteous. On a recent wellness visit for my 7 year old was the most rushed I have ever felt and barely able to get my daughters allergy medication refilled before he ran out the door. I then asked him about my last visit which I thought was a wellness visit but it was not treated as that. I had recently had got out of the hospital and needed paperwork for him to fill out due to my hospital stay for work purposes. I took a urine test for a UTI check but he told me that it was pointless since I had my menstrual cycle at the same time. When I asked him about this he states that was what the visit was for to treat a UTI and refill my ADDERALL which I never received results for my UTI nor do I go to doctor Hooper for my adhd medications. When I said this he got very upset and quickly told me he would just write it off and I can be seen elsewhere going forward before quickly walking out of the room. I was so shocked and humiliated. I have filed a formal complaint and I am currently waiting to hear back from the office manager. I will be switching practices regardless and I pray that his awful demeanor and bedside manner catch up with him. He should not be a doctor for children or adults since he rushes so quickly through visits and could potentially miss health issues or concerns. Best doctor ever!

Dr Hooper has been my dr since I was 17 yrs. Him and his staff are amazing and very professional.

I cannot think of a better Physician in the Augusta area than this man. He was warm and friendly, held his ground when he had to, (I sometimes think I know more!!) But when the chips were down,, He was there to promote the best health care possible. Do I like him? No, I love ❤️ him and there should be more like him, you want care or conversation? Not only was he rude, he continued to talk over me and gave me no help, he dismissed me and was very disrespectful and condescending! I couldn’t even explain my issue because he wanted to have control. He acts like he’s is better than you and doesn’t even give sound medical advice! Find a physician who cares because Joseph Hooper DOES NOT!!

Dr. Hooper has been my doctor for over ten years. He has never been disinterested in my medical issues. I have never experienced a negative or uncaring disposition in his conversation about my concerns. He is my children's doctor and I am a very concerned parent. He has compassionately addressed their needs and he is proactive with their care and my medical care. I give him five stars and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Hooper is efficient and caring. He listens to my concerns and takes the steps necessary to alleviate any fears I have. It's easy to get in to see him and his staff, front office and nurses, are lovely.

he does act like he doesn't care. is short with pateints at times

Seemed ok at first but then he started acting like he didn't care what I said helped me or address my concerns, just came in room each visit at the most stayed 10mins,very uncaring doctor, and staff also definitely would not go to cpc!!!!

They don't take medicaid

IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN HALF A STAR. HE TAKES NO TIME WITH ME AS IM USE TO UP NORTH. IN ONE OF MY TEST IT SHOWED DANGER. I HAD TO RETAKE TO SEE SECOND TEST. HAVING WAITED TWO WEEKS FOR CALL FROM HIS OFFICE OF RESULTS, I CALLED AND INQUIRED TO NURSE. SHE TOLD ME IT WAS GOOD. WHEN I ASKED WHY NO CALL SHE RESPONDS WITH (IF THERE WAS NO PROBLEM THERE WAS NO NEED TO CALL YOU. ) HAVING GONE OFF ON HER I TOLD THE DOC AT MY NEXT APPOINTMENT AS HE RUSHED ME OUT AND SPED OFF TO HIS NEX PATIENT OH WELL IT WAS OK. IS IT MY COLOR(BLACK)(MEDICARE) OR AGE(66) OR ALL THE ABOVE. LEFT HIM WENT TO DR ANTHONY SMITH AND AFTER SOME TIME WITH HIM IM LEAVING FOR THE SAME REASONS. IS THIS THE WAY OF THE SOUTH. This office was horrible to my mother. She had an appointment for 3 months and on the day of her appointment, they did not have the appointment on record. My mother was going through a rough time in her life. She just lost her mother, divorced and alone in a new town. She came to the apointment for destress issue. This office turned her away. She needed help and threw her to the curb. This office has no empathy and Dr. Hooper not only has horrible front office employees but also lacks in bedside manners. He does not listen to his patients needs or concerns. I feel he and his staff only cares about turnover. NEVER GO TO THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR WELL BEING. Dr. Hooper is the most wonderful Dr. I have ever had, he takes his time and listens to to my concerns, for the first time in many years he has me in in great health, I highly recommend recommend this Dr. to everyone! Many Thant thanks to you you Dr.!

He may not have the best bed side manner but he is genuinely concerned about my health. He pays attention to my medicine and gets me in and seen within a day. I love this Doctor!! I would recommend him and his Nurse Laice to everyone! Thanks, Heather Munoz

This is the worst Doctors office in augusta!!! Dr. Hooper is very rude and doesnt like to answer any questions or concerns. If you try to call his office to talk to a person or set up an appointment you have to wait at least 30 minutes on hold. He does not need to be a doctor he is not passionate or caring at all. Worst doctor EVER!!! I am transfering all of my husbands records today.

3 of my family members went to him for first time for yearly physicals. Two of them had some health issues. He did nothing! Didn’t even look at the problem they were complaining about. Seemed to more concerned with what they did for a living. Don’t go to him! Wish I didn’t have to leave him even one star

I have been a paitent of Dr. Hopper' s since 2007. He is prompt, listens and takes the time to make sure you are not confused by the treatment plan. I moved several years ago and attempted to find another physician. I returned to his practice and now drive over an hour to be seen here. He is very down to earth and it is a relaxing environment. Dr Hooper and his nurse make an amazing team.

Does not care about his patients, only cares about running in and out of rooms. Is smart with the patients. Don't know how he can be considered a Dr. He does not need to be practicing. Treats older people bad.

Dr Hooper been my PCP for 10+ years. Highly recommend him to family and friends. His front desk staff are always pleasant and through the years I have never had one complaint about his medical assistant/nurse!

He and his office manager are an embarrassment to the medical community. He rushes in and out of the exam room, at times not even listening to my chest when I say I feel like I have bronchitis. His office manager is RUDE and has a personality to work in a morgue where she does not need to interact with others. His front office receptionist has 0 interest in the patients as well. His nurse Lacey is great and deserves 5 stars for putting up with this atmosphere on a daily basis.
