The 5-hour round trip was worth the drive. I was nervous about my teen’s wisdom tooth extraction and didn’t trust just anybody. I chose Dr. Doctora because of all the great reviews and they were right! He was in and out in no time, they made him very comfortable and everything went smoothly. Dr. Doctora even called later that night to personally check on my son. He also followed up 10 days later. What a nice touch! His front desk staff and dental assistant were just as professional, empathetic and kind. If you are not certain who to see for oral surgery, look no further! He’s the best!

Upon recommendation by a dentist, I visited Dr Joe Doctora's Smyrna office, having had prolonged issues with my wisdom teeth and required surgery. It turned out to be an excellent recommendation, as the entire procedure was first class, from start to finish. The staff were caring and excellent overall in handling my case. Then Dr Doctora did an excellent job, removing 4 wisdom teeth, as though nothing happened. It's been just over two weeks since the surgery, and everything is feeling normal with me. The healing has been very quick, and Dr Joe Doctora continued to be in touch, following up on my recovery. Excellent experience. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking, and a reasonable wait time. Dr. Doctora was professional and at the same time friendly and personal. no surprises- my insurance was verified, and they told me my out of pocket costs before the procedure. Great follow up to make sure I was doing ok. Highly recommend!

When my husband needed to have a number of complicated tooth extractions, Dr. Joe was recommended to us by our local dentist even though it meant an hour's drive to his office. The trip was worth the time and effort as the dental procedure was painless using only a local anesthetic, and incredibly quick with a subsequent quick recovery. Consequently, later, when my need arose two different times for similar extensive procedures, I had so much confidence and trust in Dr. Joe’s incredible skills that I would not consider going to any other oral surgeon. Both my husband and I highly recommend Dr. Joe along with his highly professional and cheerful staff because of how satisfied we have been with our considerable experiences in their qualified hands.

I was very pleased with my visit to Dr. Doctora. He was honest, caring, and concerned about the procedure I was getting ready to have. The entire staff were so nice and polite and willing to help in anyway. The procedure went well and Dr. Joe did a wonderful, competent, professional job. I'm about a week and two days out of surgery now, and my mouth is healing more and more each day. He is one doctor that encourages you to get in touch with him at any time if need be. He called and texted me that afternoon of surgery to see how I was doing, and I can text him any time. I am so glad he was the one that did my surgery! I definitely recommend Dr. Doctora!

I had a wisdom tooth extraction. It was quick and the people were very nice. I didn't feel a thing. I only used the basic anesthesia too. Great job! I was very happy with my outcome. Dr. Doctora is awesome!

What a terrible visit. Went for a consult... a CONSULT... and they billed $100 for a 15 minute peek-a-boo into my son's mouth and then wanted over $400 AFTER INSURANCE to do the extraction. Found another doctor who didn't charge for a consult and then did the extraction for much less. Would NEVER recommend this clown.

Absolutely 5 star service! Dr. Joe and his staff made me feel very comfortable with their knowledge and professionalism. Dr. Joe even called the next day to check on me. I had a great recovery from having 6 wisdom teeth extracted. Very little swelling and no bruising and minimal pain. I attribute this to his experience, understanding and talent in his profession. I am a senior citizen and needed two impacted wisdom teeth removed. I was referred to Dr. Doctora by ,my dentist and now I am so happy I was. He was very professional and polite and the staff was very accomadating in every way. His credentials are outstanding and I knew I would have a good experience. This is my second day from surgery and I do not have bleeding, pain or complications of any kind. I would recommend Dr. Joseph Doctora to any one who needs a facial and dental surgery of any kind. He is awesome! so 5 star for the doctor!

Had a molar extracted. It was my first and I was quite nervous. He explained the process in easily understandable layman’s terms, gave me a choice as to how I wanted to be made comfortable during the process. I chose a local anesthetic and a few minutes later he began, explaining each step as he executed. His dental assistant supported my head during the final step which added to the comfort and made removal appear effortlessly. There is no doubt that this was not his first rodeo. I took the day off but could have done this on a lunch break. As for complaints I can only list one but really have no basis for it. I felt pricing was a bit high but had not checked elsewhere so cannot say it is not in line with other dentists doing similar work. I did feel a bit uncomfortable as a self pay customer when I was asked for payment while reclined in the dental chair waiting for my mouth to become numb. I am sure their is a reason for this else it would not be done that way. made me feel judged.

Great Dr. Didn't feel a thing during oral surgery nor did I have pain after! He also checks in with his patients. Checked with me multiple times and was always there when I had questions after. 5??

Had my wisdom teeth removed last Wednesday and went in for a follow-up today. I'm kind of a worry wart, so during that time, I also had 2 calls with Dr. Doctora about my progress, and 1 call to get script refills. All in all, it's been a great experience with a friendly and professional staff. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dr.Joe Doctora and his staff are amazing. I have seen him on 2 different occasions and both of my experiences has been great. Dr.Joe was very kind and patient with me. I was extremely nervous and he explained what he was doing and making sure I was ok. Dr.Joe also checked on me thru text making sure I was doing ok after the procedure, that alone says a lot about his character. He cares about his patient and I would highly recommend Dr.Joe Doctora. Dr. Doctora is clearly well practiced and knows what he’s doing. I had three teeth extracted and the procedure went incredibly smoothly. He was very in tune with my subtle reactions and made sure to check in with me multiple times which is a big deal because we all know how traumatic dental work can be. Highly recommend.

From the time you walk in to the time you leave they make you feel welcome! he is the only oral surgeon that i let do my work because for the amount of attention to detail he pays to doing it right. I highly recommend Dr Joseph Doctora as your 1st choice for all oral and maxillofacial surgery needs!!! I recently had 15 teeth including my wisdom teeth surgically extracted. I wanted sedation but couldn't go without drinking for 8 hours so local antestisia was my only option, and i was extremely nervous until Mr. Doctora along with his well trained staff educated me. They did a phenomenal job, i felt no pain and the aftercare was as world class as the work. I wouldn't go anywhere else, ever!!!

Great experience...I went in for an extraction and everything went as smooth as possible. I was very impressed with swiftness of the procedure. Once I was numb the tooth was out in under 10 mins. I was surprised when he said "it's out". I would definitely go back but hopefully I won't need to. The price was more than reasonable with my insurance. He alalso followed up via text the next day.

Dr. Doctora is the consummate professional. I greatly appreciate his a calming and trustworthy demeanor that causes even me to relax right away despite my usual level of dental phobia. This was my 3rd visit over a few years. Each time it has been exactly the same safe caring environment. Every interaction with Dr. Doctora I am assured I have his complete focus which is very important to me. Oral surgery is not the most fun thing but, he's the person that I will choose every time.

I definitely recommend Dr. Doctora for wisdom teeth removal. I recently had all my four wisdom teeth removed by him and the experience was good. I had been very anxious about having them all removed because I thought I was going to be in a lot of pain, but I actually wasn't. The procedure took less than an hour and after the surgery, my jaw and cheeks felt very uncomfortable due to swelling, but I didn't experience terrible pain.

Dr. Doctora was helpful in explaining my condition and appropriate actions that needed to be taken. Haven't experienced any real pain after removing 2 wisdom teeth and look forward to a speedy recovery.

Dr Joe and his staff are awesome. The got me in and took care of my broken tooth when other offices would not.

Been to dr Doctora twice in the last 2 months with my 84 year old mother. Both times de d was very friendly in formative and thorough. I appreciate that very much.

The experience I had was the most traumatic that I have ever experienced. I told them from the get go that I had a fear of Dentists from a traumatic experience as a child. I have had the more pain from dental work than any other surgery and I have had many surgeries. I asked to be put to sleep and I was awake during the procedure of pulling more than one tooth. I was aware of everything going on and remember it. VERY TRAMATIC. I would not recommend Dr. Dotora to anyone.

I've always been untrusting and had a fear of having any kind of dental procedure done after a bad experience with another oral surgeon. Dr. Joe was very professional and comforting as he took the time to explain the entire procedure and answer questions. Recently had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Doctora, and have nothing but good things to say! I went in and sat down, he helped calm me and help me relax before inserting the IV. Had no pain during the procedure, finished everything within 45 minutes (which went by insanely fast). Great doctor, highly recommended!

My mother was a new patient at Dr. Doctora office, I'm pleased to say that his front office staff was friendly and helpful in getting the paperwork and insurance in order. Dr Doctora explained the complete process of the recommended surgery for my mother. His follow up with me after the surgery is what will always stay with me because of the phone call I received from him personally, outstanding doctor in my personal opinion. AWESOME Doctor!!!! Always great to have a doctor who listens to your concern! He was able to fit me in his busy schedule for an extraction when my appointment was for a consultation! Then he personally called to make sure I was okay!!! Staff members were nice and comforting great customer service!

Although I was scared and a bit nervous, he kept me calm and happy by maintaining a positive attitude through out my wisdom tooth extraction. Personally, the experience was more enjoyable and entertaining despite the tense situation. I recommend him to anyone for a pleasant dental experience! Let's not leave out the friendly staff that help him, they were patient and polite!

Dr. Doctora and his team have performed two wisdom teeth extractions for our family, so far, and we will definitely be bringing the other kids when it’s their turn!

I have an anxiety issue and Dr. Doctora was very patient and understanding, I had an appointment but had a problem with my diabetes and was rescheduled without challenge. He and his staff were amazing at relieving my stress. Home and feeling amazingly well in no time!

I had a procedure performed by Dr. Doctora today. His office staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Dr. Doctora was very professional and personable. He showed great concern for my comfort and performed the procedure quickly and efficiently. On a personal note, I'm not a huge fan of Dentist's but this was a surprisingly pleasant experience. If I should need oral surgery services in the future I will definitely use Dr. Doctora and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Called office with a billing issue and the staff member I spoke to initially was nice and tried to help. Second call to office regarding same billing issue and this time the staff member was very rude when I stated that the billing correction did not process (after speaking with insurance company). I have a medical billing background and have also worked in a physician office and you are never to be rude to a patient under any circumstance.

Dr. Doctora and his staff are GREAT. I went in for a consultation for an implant and bone graft. I was very nervous but Dr. Doctora was very patient with me and explained everything to me step by step. I am halfway through the process now and It has been good.
