Dr Dement replace my right hip in April 2022 and I feel good to be able to walk. Dr Dement and Jeff his PA are the best and the staff at the office and the staff on the orthopedic floor at mission hospital was the best.

I had surgery Aug 3rd....Dr Dement and his surgical team were phenomenal. I recommend him 100%..Through the entire process I was well informed Dr Dement took the time to explain the surgery in terms that made it easy to understand... Wonderful follow up.. I can't say enough about the genuine concern, professionalism, just the overall experience.

Dr. Joseph Dement is excellent and is the definition of a orthopedic physician and I am glad he did my hip surgery. He is gifted for sure.

Dr Dement replaced both my right knee and right hip. Everything was fully explained and both surgeries went very well with quick recoveries. I feel confident in having him replace my left knee and hip as well this coming year. He is an outstanding surgeon and I highly recommend him to anyone.

I had a knee replacement by Dr Dement, it went wonderfully. I was walking without walker or cane within two weeks, no pain medication during the day. The office staff were professional and nice and Dr Dement was amazing, down to earth, explained things, and he is a great surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone.

On the first visit, he explained the procedure clearly, also the possibly risks. He is very easy to talk to and takes the time to answer any questions. Subsequent visits were very much the same. Very satisfied with the outcome.

Dr. Dement has been my doctor since 2014. I had total knee surgery on my right knee in April 2014 and in June 2015 I had total knee surgery on my left knee. My knee surgeries and recoveries were excellent. At present I receive injections in both shoulders for arthritis and bursitis. I have complete faith and trust in Dr. Dement for the treatment he has given and continues to give and would not want anyone else as my doctor. I would recommend him to everyone who may need his care.

Dr. Dement replaced my left knee on March 20, 2018. My surgery and recovery both went extremely well. I had very minimal pain and was walking without a cane in less than two weeks. When meeting with Dr. Dement, he is always cordial and outgoing. His staff at Asheville Orthopedic Associates is outstanding. I can recommend Dr. Dement without reservation.

Doctor Cement has been very professional and down to earth.

Dr. Dement is skilled, knowledgeable, reliable, kind, and courteous. He has helped me tremendously with my knee problems. I would not want to see anyone else but him.

Dr. Dement did a total knee replacement on me on October 4, 2016. I will say that I had a great outcome..He and all of his office staff .are very pleasant. No pain.

In my experience, Dr. Dement listens, explains, and answers questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. Although I will be leaving the area and will not ask him to perform surgery on me, I would not hesitate to do so, as all signs point to competence, thoroughness and kindness.

I found Dr Dement to be a very caring, considerate, patient doctor who treated me as if I were his only patient. I could tell he was very busy but he took time to sit, look at me and listen to me. I have had experiences with doctors who would rush in, hardly make eye contact, and after they rushed out, I could hardly remember what they had said! Dr Dement stays and explains things throughly so that you understand what is going to happen and why. His staff is also excellent and caring.
