Dr. Beckmann is fantastic.

He was very attentive and listened to my concerns. Was respectful of my privacy and very gentle with his over all exam. He seemed to have knowledge of my health history, which indicated to me that he took the time to read over my medical reports. The staff and nurses were also very nice.

Dr. Beckmann, He is by far the best doctor I ever had. He truly cares for patients. He definity a superhero.

I have had fantastic experiences with Dr. Beckmann AND the support staff. I'm friendly, they're friendly, all is good. Dr. Beckmann is an experienced physician, grounded and knowledgeable. I'm glad to be a patient at Smiley Lane.

Dr. Beckmann is great. The staff and support at Smiley is atrocious, and the billing is a nightmare. I would follow him elsewhere in a minute, but until then avoid Smiley like the plague. Unless you have the plague. Then maybe consider Smiley.

I feel that these reviews do not pertain to the physician or the service at all. Dr. Beckmann is a fantastic Dr. who listens to your concerns and professionally voices his opinions and recommends ways to prevent further issue's. The issues with the reception area probably stem from the owner's or Mizzou corporate decisions. I feel the staff does the best they can and they provide the most advanced technology available to limit the number of visits necessary. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Beckmann for several years now. He is a very knowledgeable, conscientious, and attentive physician. Dr. Beckmann listens to what I have to say and willing to answer my questions no matter how many questions I have. He does what he says he is going to do, very good follow up. I believe him to be a very thorough and exceptional physician.

Receptionists are very rude!!! When we walked in one was helping the person in front of us another was sitting in a desk beside them with a headset on. She was looking at her screen and stated 'can I help you?' We looked over but did not think she was speaking to us as she had the headset on. She then looked at us, gave a dirty look and asked if she could help again with a bad tone and dirty look on her face. We were there for a follow up appointment to review test results, waited 30mins after appointment in waiting room, another 40 mins in the exam room before dr came in (it was an opening appointment not later in the day). It took the dr 5 mins to review and that was it. We later got a bill for $148 after insurance for that appointment. I guess patients are just an incinvienece and money machine for them! Although the physician was cordial and addressed the reason for my visit sufficiently, I believe the billing from University Physicians is absurd. If you are going to visit this facility, be aware you'll be paying not only to see the physician, but to sit in the waiting room as well.
