Dr. Assenmacher is the best. He is one of the most personable doctors I have had. He gives of his time freely, answers any questions I have, explains everthing thoroughly. I was totally at ease for my surgery because of Dr. Joe and the staff at Bay Park.

Didn't see the doctor but was able to see the PAC. We talked and agreed on a workable solution. Thank you

Terrific office visit. Staff were helpful and efficient and Dr Assenmacher was just what I needed. Both of my shoulders are toast (bone on bone!) and he made me feel very confident in the success of the procedures I’m facing. Can’t say enough about the positive experience. More to follow as I progress with “Fix”!

Diagnosis was through and explanations were in plane english that I could understand.

I have Dr Craig Assenmacher and he's great but I would assume since they are all family and if 1 is nice and informative then they all are..

Staff if always nice, explain things at a level I understand. Listen to my concerns. Review options so things are not overwhelming.

Had shoulder surgery and it went great had no issues and back for my knee now

Great experience! Showed me my x-rays and discussed all that was going on and any future treatments.

Dr. Joseph "Joe" Assenmacher is an excellent and trusting surgeon. He is always friendly, thoughtful, and puts the concerns of his patients first, I can't speak more highly of him. The staff is always very helpful and my years of experiences with Dr. Joe has always exceeded my level of standards.

Dr. Assenmacher did a wonderful job. I personally never had any pain in the knee after the surgery. I just had my 8 week follow up and things are great and went and played golf yesterday and the knee never bothered me at all. I give the credit to Dr. Joseph Assenmacher.

I'm an established patient of Dr Joe's I am having issues with arthritis in my knees and called to make appointment and I was notified that he will no longer sees patients with large BMI'S and I should get on a weight loss program. I'm 350 lbs I get I'm big and i can't get weight loss surgery because the insurance doesn't cover it. What a joke!!! I wouldn't go to him for nothing. He is full of his self and only wants the easy stuff. Dr Joe is always attentive to my problem. He is very clear in his explanations. I always feel respected and treated with the best of care.

I got the name of Dr. Joseph Assenmacher from a casual conversation with someone I met for the first time at an outdoor get together on September 9th, 2021. The person had had a rotator cup repair with Dr. Joe Assenmacher the year before and was bragging and demonstrating just how well he was doing after having the surgery. This person could lift his repaired arm straight in the air. Person could touch his back reaching over his shoulder and from his side. Person said he could do everything that he did before he tore his rotator cup and had the surgery six months later. I was impressed. The person said if you do exactly what the doctor tells you to do, you will recover 100%. I fell and tore my rotator cup August 10th, 2021. At the time that I fell I didn't know I had torn my rotator. I just knew I couldn't lift my arm and that my arm hurt badly from the fall. And because of all the swelling that I had when I went to the emergency room on the night I fell, I was told that it was probably a sprang, to not use arm at all, and to give it six weeks to heal. Well six weeks turned into ten weeks and then twelve weeks and I still couldn't lift my injured arm. I also had no idea who to call for a consultation or surgery. So, I tried to remember the name of the doctor that the person mentioned in his conversation On September 9th. I did not remember the name, but I did remember that the doctor worked at Bay hospital in Oregon, OH and that his name was unique. Using that information, I was able to find Dr. Joe Assenmacher name at Bay Park Hospital and schedule a consultation in early October 2021 and later surgery early November 2021. Dr. Joseph Assenmacher is an outstanding surgeon. He's personable. He's patient. He's kind. He knows what he's doing. And he has a great team. It's been six months since my surgery. I can now lift my injured arm straight up in the air and straight out to my side. I can now touch the base of my neck, wipe myself using that injured arm, and bend arm up several inches from my waist. I also went to physical therapy which I believed helped me tremendously with my progress. And I am still doing some of the exercises at home to regain even more strength and flexibility in injured arm. My only con for Dr. Joe is that on the day of my surgery, he did not stop in to see me before my surgery, and for a couple of my appointments after the surgery he did not see me for my appointments. I was scheduled to see him, but instead saw someone else. For some people that may not matter, but for me, I like to talk to the person who did the work on me for all my appointments so that he or she can see for him or herself my progress. However, I was told that Dr. Joe will come to the room of any of his patients who request to speak with him during an appointment when he is there. So, other than that I say Dr. Joseph Assenmacher is one of the best, and I recommend him to anyone needing an orthopedic surgeon in his area of specialties. Dr Assenmacher was very kind, he explained everything and made sure I understood what my options were. He has a great office staff. I would recommend him and his office to my friends and family.

Dr. Joe is an amazing dr.he,along with everyone else in his office, explains the procedure you'll be getting thoroughly. He's kind and caring. When I made an appointment with the dr., I had expected to see the dr. I had not been asked if it’s ok to see the PA and would appreciate the opportunity to say yes or no. The PA I saw was good but I would have liked to have had a conversation regarding my concerns with the dr. not just get new steroid shots. It would be common courtesy to inform me or ask me in advance about my preference for that particular appointment. Thank you. When I made an appointment with the dr., I had expected to see the dr.
