Jose M Rivero

Dr Rivero is beyond compassionate and caring. I remember the time he was on vacation and apparently reviewed my husbands recent labs. He called my husband and told him to go to the ED they were waiting for him and that he needed potassium IV. He then gave us his cell phone number should we need him.. I’ve never experienced this kind of compassion.

Used to be great but not so anymore. Takes so long for anyone to respond from his office. I’ve been waiting on results from an echo and it’s been days even though hospital said they sent the records over right away

Outstanding physician—wish more physicians would take lessons from him. Very friendly, very thorough, and he cares about what he does. His front office and nurses are wonderful. Dr. Rivero should train other Carilion offices how to operate.

Dr. Rivero has treated my whole family for Heart Issues. He is a wonderful, caring Physician. Spends plenty time on your visit. Very careful to explain your Dx. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Rivero is an excellent doctor. He is familiar with your medical history. He is highly skilled and always extremely professional. He is very easy to talk to and he listens attentively.

Once Dr Rivero became a part of the care team for my husband, he improved tremendously. Dr Rivero takes time to talk and answer questions at each office visit. He explains everything so that my husband understands making him an active participant in his care with positive results.

Went to see the doctor this evening and the staff was so much help also like to thank God for Dr kim goad for helping me find my medication for Soo much cheaper I will Never forget it bless all of you

Dr River has been my husband's heart Dr for over 20 years. I don't know that my hubby would be alive today if not for Jose. He didn't give up as one Heart Dr.did. This other Dr. Said to take him home he was a dead man walking, (exact words). He has calmed me down in the nicest of ways when I was about to melt down myself. I pray he will stay put in NRV for a long time to come.

This is posting as Ron Parker , but it is being written by Miriam Parker, Dr. Rivero's patient. This cardiologist is one of the most intelligent, caring, and no nonsense Physicians I have ever met. After seeing a number ( and by that I mean at least a dozen) of cardiologists and family physicians who could not diagnose my problem he wasted no time in finding my problem! He had me in the hospital scheduled for surgery,put in a pace maker and had my heart rhythm going perfect! Within a couple of days I had energy I hadn't had in years. I am feeling so much better and soon I will be kicking up my heels. I wish everyone could be so well taken care of. It is very difficult to find good caring specialists and a lot of the time you feel as if your questions and difficulties have not been listened to or taken seriously (no time for nonsense you know)NOT SO WITH DR. RIVERO.he CARES ,takes the time to earnestly listen and with his expertise has you back on your feet in no time! Thank you and God Bless you Dr. Rivero you are indeed a God send .
