Dr. Jose M Diaz

After treating my father for years he was never able to put him on the correct med plan to help with his parkingsons. After all that time he recently informed us that he would jo longer treat my father because he couldn't figure it out and was to much work. He made my father and family hope and then dropped him out of no where after years. I do not recommend him.

Dr. Diaz has been my neurologist for over 30 years. He is a wonderful and caring man. I would recommend to anyone that ever needs a neurologist.

I've seen Dr Diaz a couple of years ago and he is really a good doctor. However, I cannot seem to get an appointment with him. His office staff NEVER answers the phone and I've left repeated messages trying to get a followup appointment for a genetic disease. I have been trying for several months and have moved on to find another neurologist.

Dr. Jose Diaz, is a great doctor, but the staff isn’t a good they’re rude, unprofessional, and non helpful. When my husband runs out of medicine and no refills I call the office for the refills and leave a message they call me back and in a rude way they said you don’t have to call for the refills let the pharmacy call us. But they never responded to the pharmacy it takes for me to call back and leave a message cause they never answer the phone or if the PCP send a referral they never call to set an appointment but when I call to set the appointment they tell me we haven’t received any referral, I call the PCP office and they said yes we send the referral to Dr. Díaz Office about a week ago call back Dr. office to set the appointment leave a message never got a response it’s hard cause the rude staff starting from the receptionist to the nurse never answer the phone and when they do they are very RUDE, and anti professional. Dr. Díaz, you are a very knowledgeable, caring, lovable and very caring of your patience is very sad that your staff isn’t. I have had nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Diaz and the entire staff. They were all very kind and compassionate about my condition and most helpful with assisting me with the wheel chair and paperwork. I truly appreciate the caring attitude of the office.⚘

All employees go out of their way for us. They are all kind and considerate and compassionate.

Do not bother with this office. Extremely rude and they do not return phone calls. They turn their machine and never answer their phone. Turning patients away for being 5 minutes late! Susan is unprofessional and Dr. Diaz has bad bed side manners. Look for a better, caring office.

I'm shocked at how rude and uncaring this office staff is, including Dr. Diaz. They're turning patients away for being a little late. I don't understand because you still have to wait an hour before you're seen. We waited 6 months for an appointment and they turned me away.

Dr. Jose Diaz misdiagnosed me with Parkinson’s about 3 years ago. After being diagnosed I was also told that I couldn’t drive. I had recently lost a great friend to Parkinson’s. I fell into to a very deep depression and contemplated ending it all. It took me 8 months. After 28 months, Dr. Diaz sent me for a brain scan that proved that I didn’t have Parkinson’s. I asked for and received my entire patient records with Doctor’s note from my monthly visits. I was able to see that Dr.Diaz doubted his original diagnosis s soon as 90 days after my first visit. If he had given me that information, it would have changed my whole view by allowing me to have a much higher degree of hope. I wouldn’t have suffered the worst 8 months of my life and would not have contemplated suicide. Additionally, his staff is the worst group of administrators I had ever seen. I had to drive to their office to make an appointment bc they never answered their phones or their voicemail.

I have been mistreated by all his staff. When I needed forms filled out for disability, his office manager "Jennifer" argues that what I said they said on the phone "I know that is not what they said." I was on a recorded call with Social Security Administration who gave me directions of exact facts they need. I made a google doc asking for that information. I asked if I had to play the recording of the call for her to believe that is what SSA wanted. Jennifer says "No. Because I have worked with them for years and I know. Plus we have our own forms and requirement. Just because you say they want it does not mean we will do it." I asked "Are you going to continue to tell me what I heard is not what I heard?" She responds, with "I never said that." These are exact wordings of her comebacks. I am in my mid thirties and have always had to get my mother involved for anything to get done. My mother was on the phone with her while I wrote this, and now Jennifer tells me that she will do it

Extremely well and felt my concern about my symptoms,I and never made me feel foolish regarding my age as some physicians tend to do. I have not had any problems with setting appointments. Ever.

Dr. Diaz is great Doctor! However his staff sucks and will not return your phone calls. Their best line is she is on the phone and will call you right back, Susan never calls you back. I was a Manager for the largest food company in the USA for 17 years. If someone treated our Customers the way Dr. Diaz’s staff treats his patients/customers I would write them up and if their performance didn’t improve, they would be fired on the spot time for the Dr. to reacess his staff. Very calm, took his time with me. I did not feel rushed out the door.

Dr. Diaz sees my mother and we found he is great. He takes the time to listen and explain things.

Dr Diaz has been my neurologist for several years. I have never had the experience others are talking about with the staff. I have always been treated well and efficiently. Susan does answer calls and responds to my requests. Dr Diaz is kind, very attentive and responsive to my issues. I think that he and his practice are amazing!

After 1st visit (I do agree about front office) my images weren't allowed to be sent to me directly, but can be sent to my team of Dr's (who I would see sooner than f/u here). I did (as always) make an appt BEFORE I left and asked for sch ext just in case. My imaging wasn't of concern so I waited for my f/u. That day, l visited 2 Dr appts prior to seeing Diaz and my symptoms decided to show almost full force while I was in having consult. Orig condition ruled out but able to formally dx the underlying rare conditon. I could now go back to teach my team who then comes up w/new treatment plans which also helps others with what they learn from me. Diaz was happy to let me pick his brain. Other Neuro's dismissed me because they didnt take the time and bc I looked so "normal" (and didn't want to LEARN from someone younger w/o an M.D. in my name). Diaz is wonderfully patient, through and wants to help as he is a team player. Resch is much better than making new/1st appt esp on phone.

He was an awful doctor. My son died because of him

My spouse was misdiagnosed by Dr. Diaz. We went to Baylor for a second opinion. This misdiagnosis was terrifying and expensive! And totally avoidable if he had been on top of it.

Dr. Diaz is great but his office staff is terrible. I had an appointment for 1:30 and showed up at 1:35 and the lady at the front desk told me I had to reschedule because I was 5 minutes late. I drove an hour and 15 minutes to get there and got stuck in traffic. I tried calling the office to make them aware of this and the phones were closed because it was lunch time when I was on my way. When I get there it's no other patients waiting and she told me to leave because I was just 5 minutes late!! I was so upset! I asked her to speak to Dr. Diaz and she told me he's in with a patient. I asked for my medical records and I left. My mother recently got referred to a neurologist and she told me she wanted to see Dr. Diaz. I warned her about his office staff. One week after she started dealing with his staff she called me and said that they were rude to her and didn't call her back after leaving multiple messages. She finally got a hold to someone and they told her she can't get an appointment until October! She said she's not dealing with this and found another neurologist. When you call the office number a automated system gives you a series of messages and prompts of extensions, and when you choose the operator extension you get a voicemail so it's really difficult to talk to anyone at this office. Dr. Diaz has been my doctor since I was 15 years old. I don't care how much of a good doctor he is, if he continues having people like this working for him I will not be going back to his office. They're rude, disrespectful and unwilling to work with you. Avoid to save yourself some drama. Trust me. Dr. Diaz is great but his office staff is terrible. Dr Diaz always takes time to explain everything and answers any questions

I recently read the reviews for Dr. Diaz and thought they must be for someone else. My husband has been a patient of his for 15 years. We have had nothing but good results. Yes we have had to wait a little sometimes to get in, but that is because the Dr. will sit and answer all of your questions. He wants to make sure he knows everything going on before you leave his office. He has also helped us learn how to manage my husbands disease. The staff have always called us back, it may be the next day, but we were not in an emergency situation. The doctor's office is very busy and so is the staff. Is Dr Diaz aware of the performance of his office staff? I have tried unsuccessfully to schedule an appointment for an evaluation on a referral from my Orthopedic Dr. The 1st time, 4 phone messages left over 2 weeks. No response, I saw a different Neurologist. The 2nd attempt, 4 messages over 3 weeks, no response. I even had my Orthopedic Dr contact Dr Daiz's staff directly. Dr Diaz's staff assured my Dr's staff that someone would call that afternoon. No callback after a week.

Dr. Diaz represents a bright light in my life and has made "going to the doctor" something to which I look forward! His competency is highly regarded amongst peers in his profession and, his conscientiousness was responsible for detecting a potentially life-style threatening condition that required prompt surgery. I love this man, and I appreciate and admire his staff with whom I've interacted for over a decade and to which I owe a debt of gratitude. Dr. Diaz has been my doctor for 14 years. He's knowledgeable, sensible and genuinely caring. He takes time for patients and makes sure you understand your condition and treatments. I agree with a previous poster that the office staff, while friendly and helpful face to face, is difficult to reach by phone. Very frustrating to make an appointment. They do sometimes drop the ball on other procedures.

Dr. Diaz is a polite, relaxed doctor that makes you feel confortable. His scheduling staff is by far one the worst when compared with other doctors in the Houston and Katy areas. Most of the time you have to leave a message for someone to call you to schedule an appointment. He has a large staff, so it is difficult to understand why there is no one dedicated to answer the phone.

I went to Dr. Diaz last march to have nerve damage test and had blood work done...it is now Sept and I have called many times to get the results also had another dr. fax for my records...no one returned my calls or sent records...wtf..what can I do to get this info..got my Medicare information paper back and seems dr. diaz got paid extra for spending more than 15 min. with me...that is a joke...he came in and looked at the paper and mumbled something about 100% and left the room...and didn't say anything else...I'm very angry and still don't have answers I paid for.. Went to Dr. Diaz in November 2013 for feet problems. He suggested getting a MRI and due to my fear I had to be sedated. Had to wait until January 2014 because of insurance reasons. I have called twice to talk to Dr. Diaz for the results and still waiting. I went to his office to make a follow up visit where I was told he only gives results by phone no follow up. I am still waiting for the call. As of today its now been 4 weeks and nothing No results, no prescription, no treatment plan. He left me no option but to make a appointment with another doctor to review the results. I regret the day I ever set foot in his office and applaud by not only his actions but those of his staff. I was never told what the procedure was after my MRI to get the results. Keep in mind I have spent a lot of money out of pocket. I DO NOT recommend Dr. Diaz to anyone. Dr. Diaz is an amazing doctor - too bad his staff doesn't reflect that. Appointments are shuffled, confused and then the attitude you get from Susan is just amazing. I have a bad condition, I have to deal with it on my own now as the medical community and they're oath have failed me badly.
