Love this doctor

DO NOT GO HERE! I took my son here because I wanted to give my son the best chance at being healthy and seeing a good doctor, BUT! What I got bad in return was not worth damage they gave back to me. My son was struggling to gain weight and I didn't know why. I thought he had acid reflux but he didn't have it. I figured out it was a lip tie issue but at every corner, the nurse practitioner kept blaming my breastmilk, that I wasn't feeding him right, and kept saying that if I didn't do something about his weight that he would have to be put in the hospital and then would have to "monitor" his feedings. I finally got to my breaking point when she wanted to tell me false information about my sons blood work. That's when I got into a heated confrontation with her about how she was ignoring my mental health and that she didn't know what she was doing. That is when Dr. Garza stepped in and finally saw exactly what I was seeing with my son. In the end, I went to my old pediatrician to be my sons doctor and we've been better off. I would have loved it if Dr. Garza was the first to see my son but that didn't happen. So if you already have a doctor in mind that you know is good or amazing, go with them. DO NOT GO HERE! The staff here are lovely people and they have a great team. I'm happy with my choice of pediatric services.

My six year old has been with Dr Garza since he was newborn hes such a great dr always explains everything thoroughly and makes sure I understand and all my questions are answered. Hes sooo good with my kiddo. The ❤❤❤

My twins have been going here since they were born. Dr Garza is very good with kids and friendly and takes time to answer all of our questions everytime. The office is clean and never had a long wait. I would definitely recommend him as a pediatrician

I love this place . i have all 3 of my kids signed up here and they're very nice and take time to listen. I highly recommend here . they have lots of drawing for kids to look at and they hangup your kids arr work. I love this place and love the nurse practitioner .shes awesome.

I absolutely love this doctor he's very nice and straight forward with answers, I've read these negative reviews and put them into consideration , ESPECIALLY BEING A FIRST TIME PARENT I know we can be overprotective and sensitive to new doctors one mom complaining about her child being cold and forced to stay naked *first the rooms are not cold they are fine and it's only for a moment to weigh and measure them . I had a blanket on hand with me . The staff is very nice and time efficient, no this place is not dirty or smells bad , I've looked into that complaint one lady left and I 100% dont agree . I've worked in custodial and they keep it all clean . This place is AMAZING! I have my two year old going there since she was born & Dr. Garza has always been so gentle and kind with her. He’s Hispanic so I love that he talks to me like my grandmother does. His receptionists are also kind and always smiley. Just love NP D. Hernandez she is so awesome & great with my girls. She had been caring for my 1 year old since she was born but when she was 7 months or so that was the last time we saw her. Unfortunately she left & of course she couldn't tell the patients. Long story short we found her here with Dr Garza :) I was so happy & now my 1 year old got her 12 months check up & my 2 month old got her check up as well by one & only NP D. Hernandez. Haven't had a chance to meet Dr. Garza but I'm more than sure he is just as awesome as Hernandez. The staff was very nice & helpful with any questions I had. Worst experience ever. I realize why is always empty!! They're very unprofessional and rude! ...and the place is dirty and smells really bad.

If I could guve this Dr. zero stars I would. I was there just one time, first and last, and NEVER came back. I actually found another pediatrician the very same day to check my baby. My baby was a newborn and he was in the NICU for 6 days, the day that the Hospital discharged him, I took him to this office. My baby had respiratory issues, he was breathing so fast, and even like that, the Hospital gave him to me. So I went to this office, hoping this "awesome" pediatrician could help me to understand what was happening with my boy. But he didn't like me, since the office was so cold (weather was cold outside as well) and I didn't want to let my baby just in diaper, so the head nurse allowed a heater in the room where they weigh the babies. BUT the doctor, once in the other room, just took the clothes off my baby, treated him like a doll, rolling hum with no care at all, to "check him" he didn't find anything wrong...like "what???" My baby that morning had a respiratory frequency of 104 breath per minute, I know because I checked it since me and my husband are nurses, but the doctor didn't care, and as I had so many questions and he didn't have any answers, he dismissed EVERY concern I had. Told me that If I wasn't comfortable with his answers I could go ahead and go to the ER, and left the room. And I was like ???????? what just happened here???? I found an awesome, but like for real, awesome pediatrician the same day. He treated my son very carefully, like you have to treat/touch any newborn, or any baby for that matter! And this pedi was checking my son twice a week, then once a week, then every 2 weeks, until he was sure my baby was fine. He also gave me his number, and I actually had to called him once, I was very scared because my son started to breath very fast again, and he made space to see him that morning. When I went to Dr. Garza I decided to go because the reviews were good, and he was nearby. But Omg, worse, WORSE experience ever. If I could guve this Dr. zero stars I would. Love this place so very nice and welcoming very helpful. Sometimes there is a wait but Dr. Garza is worth it .

He's the best! the wait can be long sometimes but it is so worth it.. he takes his time to touch base on all concerns and topics.

The best doctor always explains everything clearly and always follows up he had me take my daughter to get test and he called me as soon as they opened to make sure everything was okay. Best doctor !!

Best staff in San Antonio! Yes, they are accepting only newborns up to 11 mths of age but because it is only Dr. Garza seeing patients. He will see them until they are 18 yrs of age. I heard great things about this place on Facebook I went in today and they are only raking newborn to 18 months. I live near by and this would of been great for me very upset they can't see my children.

Called for an appointment only accepting newborn with?!? Up to 11 months of age? What happens when they turn a year are you kicked out of the practice

Dr Garza has been my kids doctor since they were born. They are 13 and 11 now. His staff is very polite. I would not trade the doctor for anyone else.

If your child gets diagnosed with Plagiocephaly or Torticollis I would switch doctor's. Cuz he's not a big fan of Cranial Molding Helmets!!! He will always tell me on apts. Dr. Garza has been caring for my son since he was born. I wouldn't trade Dr. Garza in for the world. The care, time and attentiveness are very much appreciated. The staff is friendly and funny! Dr. Garza would rather spend 30 mins with you to make sure you understand the diagnosis and how to treat the ailment, than have you come back because a doctor didn't explain all the symptoms. Although the drive is coming in from the opposite side of town, I wouldn't have it any other way.

All 7 of my kids all go there he is honest tells you what to do and not to do and a very fast and friendly doctor and I've been going there since my oldest was born at the age of 15 its been that long we will never leave to another Dr Thanks Jorge Garza

Highly recommended Dr. Garza. He help me a lot with my disabled son, and has the done a lot for my younger son. His nice attentive and great with all type of children even with those with different abilities. His staff is awesome!

We had our first visit today for my 10 day old newborn. We were impressed! AMAZING service. Clean office, sweet professional staff, and wonderful Dr. He was informative and thorough. I switched all three kids to this new office. Glad he was referred. Everyone speaks great of him.

Love Dr. Garza and his staff. They are all so friendly. Dr. Garza was recommended by NICU staff. I trust him 100%. They will work you in when you need something urgent. I am upset that now he has a PA and we don't always get to see him, but understand the need. Fantastic doctor.
