Jordan C Grabel

I had surgical consultations with three different neurosurgeons before electing surgery and a physician. I selected Dr. Jordan Grabel to perform my two level ACDF procedure. He came highly recommended by other doctors (on whom he had operated) and other past patients. As an attorney, I spoke with other lawyers who practice personal injury law and all spoke highly of Dr. Grabel. I was not rushed during the office appointments and the procedure was throroughly explained. I am now 8 weeks post-op and making a full recovery.

The experience was awesome from start to finish. My surgery went perfect. I’m pain free and back to normal. Dr.Jordon Grabel is excellent. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Grabel took the time to show me and my husband what my neck looks like on his screen and the problems that needed correcting. He explained the timeframe of how long I had before more problems would show up. He answered our many questions with the assurance he would be able to correct the problems in my neck. We did not feel rushed or pressured into scheduled surgery. He said let me know when you're ready for surgery and until that time I will continue to monitor you every three months. We went home and talked about it and I had the surgery on Dec 20, 2021. He was right, I feel so much better than I had been. He has a quick wit personality and is just a general all-around nice doctor. If you are having an issue go see him. He is a neurosurgeon/spine specialist. His son is also a spine specialist. He had previously performed gamma knife surgery on an acoustic (ear) tumor I have had for years. Dr Grabel is a Doctor's Doctor. He came highly recommended to us by the best of the best.

All I have to say is thank god for Dr. Grabel. I'm 34 years old & had a cervical disc replacement 7 weeks ago. I was involved in a car accident in 2014 which left me with bulging discs. Over the years I suffered pain in my neck, but was able to manage with OTC meds. This past July I randomly had debilitating pain & stiffness in my neck, which progressed into my shoulder + tingling/numbness/weakness in my forearm & hand. After an MRI, they found a massive herniation with a tear in C5/6. I was recommended to see Dr. Grabel & he thoroughly explained what was going on & what my treatment options were. After attempting PT (which only made me feel worse), surgery was my only option. As nervous as I was, he & his wonderful staff made me feel at ease, answering my never-ending questions with compassion. My surgery was textbook perfection & I have improved tremendously. I couldn't feel more blessed to be given my life back by the hands of this incredibly talented & caring neurosurgeon.

Dr Grabel is very knowledgeable and a geed teacher.tat is not my concern for him It is his so called bedside manor! he came zooming into the room with his tail coat flying and left the same way as if to say: 'see how busy and important i am, i have to rush rush rush" (we were the only patients there) He wouldn't let his questions be answered completely nor it appeared, he really wasn't interested in patient questions or observations. For that reason i would not recommend him

Dr. Grabel is the best of the best! When I started having numbness and tingling in my feet and legs I had no idea what the issue was. Dr. Grabel spent the time to figure out exactly what was wrong with my neck and explain it to me thoroughly and patiently. He even took the extra time to explain it to my husband. Dr. Grabel assured me that I was a perfect candidate for surgery and I was able to have the operation within 10 days of seeing him. My surgery went perfectly and the hospital staff was extremely kind and professional. Since my surgery I have seen miraculous improvement and even have my walk back only 3 months later. I couldn’t recommend this doctor more!

What an awesome and amazing neurosurgeon his hands have been touched by an angel. Just completed my decompression laminectomy and in just 3 weeks feeling much better. It has been three months since my spine fusion surgery and I have absolutely no pain. My friends can't believe it when I am walking miles pain free. Dr. Grabel is an amazing surgeon and his staff is as well.

Dr. Grabel performed a complicated surgery on my neck including an articulating titanium disc, 2 artificial discs, two fusions. I couldn’t lift my arm and had extreme pain before surgery. After surgery I have full use of my arm and a full golf swing. Did not have any pain after surgery.

I was in extreme pain and was not able to walk and bent over. After Dr. Grabel did my surgery I woke up and all my pain was 100% gone. Two weeks later I feel like I didn’t do anything but have to take it easy to make sure it all heals. Dr. Grabel Is an amazing surgeon and I was never worried for a second indeed his care. He has a great bedside manner too and explained everything to me. All I would say is to move forward with him and you will be extremely happy and out of pain.

I received great care from Dr, Grabel and his entire staff.

Visited once for my spine. He did not explain things well at all. I left in tears, not knowing anymore than when I came in. I hope he is a better communicator with his other patients.

Upon my initial visit and assessing the condition of my spine, Dr. Grabel exhibited a true sense of compassion and advised me to prolong the surgery for as long as possible. When the time came to have the operation Dr. Grabel directed me to get a second and even a third opinion in order to confer and confirm with respected colleagues. After performing a decompressive lumbar laminectomy on 5 areas L2 through S1, I was able to walk that very same day. After three weeks I was able to walk without pain. Now a month later I am able to walk 1 mile, bike for 5 miles and swim laps all without pain. Dr. Grabel's expertise and optimism for my recovery and progress gave me a renewed enthusiasm to know that at 75 years old I will return to participating in golf and tennis for years to come. I would highly recommend Dr. Grabel and his amazing staff to anyone needing back surgery.

Dr. Grabel performed a laminectomy on L2, L3, L4, and L5 just 5 weeks ago. Prior to the surgery, I had to use a walker to get around. Last week I started taking long walks with no aids, and using my exercise bicycle. The results are amazing and I now have my life back. Dr. Grabel is thorough, caring, and always there for me. A special kudos to his wonderful office staff who made all of the preparations painless. I wish that I could give more than 5 stars.

It has now been four months since my cervical artificial disk surgery - and I feel great. My arm had been weak and tingling and it's now totally normal! I literally haven't felt this well in years! Dr Grabel is an amazing doctor, and his office staff is so caring as well. 10+ stars!

I had a ACDF with Dr. Grabel 4 month ago and I feel GREAT!! I have my life back, Thank you Dr. Grabel! Also thank you to the staff they made everything so easy.

Came in for second opinion only. As an uninsured dr., he insisted that I sign an arbitration agreement which means I would not to take him to court for malpractice and it would be arbitrated. I was not asking for surgery, just a second opinion. He refused to see me since I didn’t sign.

Dr. Jordan Grabel performed spinal fusion surgery on my lower back 4 and 1/2 months ago. Prior to my surgery I was in constant pain and my ability to enjoy anything was greatly diminished. I’m sure that any one who has needed this surgery will agree that many everyday tasks seem not worth the attempt. Walking, driving, and exercising sometimes too hard to even think of trying. Forget sleeping. I am now past all that. I am doing all of these things and am continuing to improve. I owe this to Dr. Grabel. His surgical skill has given me a new lease on life and his compassion and care for details made a rough road a lot easier. My thanks also extend to his wonderful office staff and all the staff that cares for his patients at Good Sam’s.

Dr Grabel is a master of neurosurgery. My pain level before surgery was a 10 and it is now 0. I did not even need pain medication in recovery. He takes the time to explain your problem and its solution. His staff is friendly and efficient and your appointments are on time. He clearly explains the steps to your recovery .you will enjoy in great hands with Dr Grabel

I am a retired nurse and was very reluctant to have surgery for spinal stenosis. It was becoming increasingly difficult for me to walk more than 100-200 feet due to leg pain. I went to a few orthopedic surgeons but was not comfortable with how they wanted to address my problem. After 2 visits with Dr. Grabel, I decided to have surgery. I was very pleased with the time he spent explaining the surgery, recovery and prognosis. In April 2019, I had a laminectomy of L4/L5. Everything went extremely well with the surgery. I did have some issues post op with sciatica. Dr. Grabel was always available to me by phone for any issues that cropped up and helped me through my recovery. I am so happy now that I had the procedure done. I am 3 months post op and can walk pain free. Zoa was extremely helpful pre and post op to answer any questions and assure that all the testing and paperwork was done timely. I highly recommend Dr. Grabel!!

I had surgery yesterday preformed by Dr Grable. The experience from Dr. Grable and the Staff at Good Samaritan good not have been any better. Dr. Grable has fantastic bedside manner and explained in detail every aspect of the procedure. Today marks my 1 year anniversary from ACDF Surgery and I couldn't be more thrilled. Dr. Grabel is awesome and I highly recommend! I've been pain free and results exceeded expectations.

It’s been a year since Dr. Grabel performed my fusion between L-4 and L-5. My back has bothered me for over 38 years. It had progressed to the point that I couldn’t stand in line at a grocery store and could barely walk 20 yards, without needing to sit. I recently returned from the 2019 US Master’s Spring Nationals in Mesa, Arizona with the Palm Beach Master’s from Jupiter. Dr Grabel performed a laminectomy due to burning sensation in my backside. I could not stand or walk without a constant need to sit down. As someone who has played sports his whole life and even was a member of a National Championship Team in College, the inability to do basically anything was overwhelming. I took a great deal of time to locate Dr Grabel and believe such time was well worth it. Upon waking from surgery the burning sensation was gone. I was off the pain pills in less then a week and now three weeks out will be starting a rehab program. Surgery is serious stuff and I’m only so glad I went to Dr Grabel. A true professional who put me at ease from the moment I met him. Lastly, I have never written a recommendation for anyone but believe so much in Dr Grabel that I happily offer this recommendation.

Dr. Grabel performed a micro discectomy on my L5 disc on April 15, 2019. The surgery was 100% successful and I had an uneventful recovery. I don't have any of the pain I was experiencing before the surgery. The office staff is professional and caring and Dr. Grabel was always available to answer questions. I can't praise Dr. Grabel and his staff enough.

He made me feel very comfortable from the very first office visit. I had been experiencing severe throbbing pain in my right leg and Dr. Grabel diagnosed it as a pinched sciatic nerve. He performed a right L4-5 microdiscectomy. The pain ended immediately. I couldn't be more pleased.

Dr. Grabel is smart and easily explains exactly what the problem is and how to fix it.

From my first visit Dr. Grabel inspired confidence in me. He understood my complaint, and despite the fact that I had suffered for years and seen several other specialists, I knew Dr Grabel could be trusted to improve my health. The surgery went very well and now, 4 weeks post surgery, I am getting better everyday. He explained my xrays to me both pre and post surgery and the improvement has been remarkable.

My experience with DR. Grabel was amazing! He is the finest Neurosurgeon! He takes the time before and after surgery to answer questions, and is truly caring! I have great success post surgery and cant believe how little time the recovery has been!I had a microdiscectomy L5S1, and only took pain meds for 2 and a half days. 11 days post op and I feel great! 5 out of 5! My husband is an MD and contacted many colleagues to find the best spinal neurosurgeon. Dr. Grabel's name consistently turned up. The success of my surgery has been very gratifying. I am indebted to Dr. Grabel for his surgical skill and his charm. How lucky I am to feel this good only. 3.5 weeks post op.

Unlike many doctors, Dr. Grabel was never in a rush. He took his time explaining my issues and the options to resolve same. He continued from pre to post-op and the follow-up visit. Additionally, I was able to speak with him the day after returning home.

This is the finest surgeon and one of the best human beings you will ever meet. He is an absolute expert and is genuinely very caring. My surgery was an ACDF C5/C6 Fusion with Hardware. Dr. Grabel and the staff were truly amazing. The surgery went well and recovery is amazing thanks to Dr Grabel. Like with any surgery I was anticipating pain and a hard recovery but I have hardly any pain, only took pain meds for 4 days...wound is healing well and visually appealing. The hardest part of recovery is wearing your brace which Dr. Grabel says it is imperative to wear for correct healing for 7 weeks. I would recommend Dr. Grabel.

There are not enough words to express how wonderful Dr. Grabel is. From the moment I was told I needed surgery his staff took care of everything. They filed my FMLA paperwork, my short term disability claim, scheduled my pre-admit testing and called me and kept me informed every step of the way. Dr. Grabel saw me before and after surgery and explained everything under the sun to me. He made sure that i knew what to expect and how to reach him if I had any issues at all. He is an amazing surgeon.

Not enough space to describe how highly I regard Dr. Grabel. He had done my back surgery. With excruciating upper neck pain, I naturally returned to him. This was a far more complex surgery with a long recovery time. Once again he saved me. He is accessible (no "surgeon" attitude) shows empathy and genuine care. At my age, I know a number of doctors! When I said I was going to Dr. Grabel, each one said that he is the man they would choose. Endorsement doesn't come from a better source!

Initial appointment was for a 2nd opinion. After consultation decided to have him perform surgery. I found him to be completely trustworthy. He explained everything and answered all my questions and concerns. He was candid, thorough and made me feel like I was his most important patient. Fabulous experience from the start...a human actually answers the phone!! The staff has been great to work with, their office runs on time...kudos to the team that makes all of that work so well! Dr Grabel is a good communicator, takes the time to explain. He has a good ‘bedside/patientside’ manner, I felt very comfortable after my initial visit! (I had been extremely nervous!!!) after surgery I am even more impressed..not only with the pain free part..but also with the follow up. High marks!

Dr. Grabel explained the procedure before the operation and again told me what he did after the operation. He explained what to expect and I had no pain and only some discomfort. From start to finish, Dr. Grabel and his team provide a pleasant and precise execution of the gamma knife non invasive treatment for an acoustic neuroma. If I can find any quibble with my experience, it is that Dr. Grabel is not a member of the Florida Blue PPO network. This required that I waited 6 months for my employer to witch me over to the HMO network, so that I would be approved for treatment. I understand that the PPO network places restrictions of office visit fees that some doctors will not accept. So, in the end the lion's share of the blame lies with the insurance company and not with the physician. As my recovery progresses, I will post again on my progress. Dr grabel is one of the best & most informative Dr I've seen in a long time. I've had this issue with my neck for years & was afraid to have surgery but he explained everything about it and did a fantastic job. Very nice experience in time of great pain. The staff was very informative about my case and treated me with respect. Hopefully the procedure that was performed will get me back on my feet and back to work.

I have suffered with back pain for almost forty years, I had been told and believed that surgery was a fifty/fifty proposition. An orthopedic surgeon (Gary Ackerman) who I have used for knees and shoulder surgeries the last nine years told me “if it was his back he would go to Dr. Grabel”....I could barely walk from my car to the grocery store for the last six months. Dr. Grabel provided all information needed to make an informed decision regarding spinal surgery. Dr Grabel is one of the nicest Doctors I have ever met. He speaks directly to you and explains n layman's terms what the surgery involves.. I had only positive experiences both before and after surgery. Everything went well and I am on the way to a normal life again.

Dr. Grabel has changed my life. I had been suffering with sciatic pain in both legs for years. My ability to stand and walk were severely hampered. I was not able to exercise. Dr Grabel performed a laminectomy and a fusion in my lower back. The sciatic pain was completely gone after surgery. The recovery from the operation does take time and there was post-operative pain for about two weeks. I must wear a back brace for several weeks, but I was able to return to work and drive within three weeks of surgery. I am very grateful for Dr. Grabel's superior skill and care. After 3 months of barely been able to get around I visit Dr. Grabel office. I had an appointment for surgery the following week (Feb 2016). I crawled in the hospital and walked back home like nothing happen! My lower back was sore for a couple of week but I followed Dr. Grabel recovery advises. After 2 weeks I was back at the gym, 4 weeks back on my mountain bike (taking it easy). I never had pain ever again!!! At 45 YO I am in the best shape of my life and I will not hesitate to recommend Dr. Grabel to anyone. Dr. Grabel performed a microdiscectomy to relieve excruciating sciatica pain. Pain was gone immediately after surgery. He is very caring and patient. Surgery was a difficult decision for me and I am so happy I did it. I couldn't of asked for a better experience. He communicated to me what to expect during and after surgery and it was exactly as he described.
