I have seen Dr. Whitfield regularly for over three years. I look forward to each of our meetings and find him to be one of the most genuine and warm individuals that I have had the pleasure to know, in any capacity. Dr Whitfield prescribed my daughter who is an addict Prozac, Welbuterin, klonopin, Restoril, Adderall and Ambien. This combo of drugs shouldn’t be prescribed to anyone, let alone an addict. Dr Whitfield had a long conversation with her previous psychiatrist and had all the back ground needed to make a well informed decision of care for my daughter. At best this is negligible, and worst it’s criminal. Very warm personality and a comfortable office. He’s always been pleasant to talk to and understanding of my concerns regarding medication.

I am therapist colleague of Dr. Whitfield. He's very upbeat and knowledgable. Makes you feel comfortable talking with him about hard issues. He is attentive and will call you back quickly which is rare with psychiatrists. If I could give less than one star, I would for the most disrespectful phone call I have ever had with someone. He was rude, dismissive, aggressive, and hung up on me! And I'm paying him for THAT?! He wouldn't give me my medication unless I met with him to confirm how I'm doing. I let him know over the phone that everything was great! and that's not enough? He probably just wants his couple hundred for making me sit on his couch for literally 15 minutes which makes no sense, and I've been in a really tough family situation so I can't meet at the moment, so his lack of sympathy was terrible. To have the audacity to speak to a client (and a 20 year old) with such disrespect appalls and repulses me. Do not work with this man. Dr.Whitfield is an excellent physician. He has been my doctor for a few years now and has provided me with great advice. He genuinely cares about me and wants to ensure that I am feeling okay.

Very helpful, extremely knowledgeable.

Dr. Whitfield works well with our therapist in ensuring his treatment factors in the entire picture for our son.
