I love Dr. Skinner. He performed my appendectomy and I had absolutely no issues from that surgery. He is very pleasant and easy to talk to. He also encouraged me to get a mammogram and a colonoscopy, which I have needed for a long time.

My appendix ruptured in March of 2021 and Dr. Skinner was the surgeon on call. I had an 8 day stay in the hospital and came out 40 staples later. Throughout my stay Dr. Skinner was amazing and honestly, he saved my life because of how bad the ruptured gunk had spread. I literally thank God for him being the one on call because I nearly lost my life. He is a fantastic surgeon and has a wonderful and caring bedside manner. Some of the office staff are outright hateful! How are you going to tell someone who called about a bill when explained my parent was hospitalized and could not make the appointment so charged her for it. When I told her she had passed away this lady no lie straight up said well you should have brought her in ! She was in the freaking hospital right where your office is located! Gonna say well you didn't bring her in so you killed her! What kind of sick person says that to a patient's grieving family! I will never allow any one I know be treated in this office! One of the appointments they cancelled because the Dr had corona virus but I didn't charge them for that! I truly hope the person I spoke to today rots in hell! Wonderful staff, Mrs. Diana is so kind & lovely to chat with. Dr. Skinner listens, & proceeds with caution before suggesting surgery! They’re an amazing staff, & I highly recommended them.

Excellent surgeon! My husband had a cancerous tumor removed from his colon 11/19/20, everything went well! He feels very little discomfort. The staff very professional and friendly. Highly recommended!

Dr. Skinner is the only physician in the Dothan area to put in Eversense Glucose Monitoring Systems. He and his staff are very professional and pleasant to interact with. Making appointments is super easy and the whole clinic is very clean and orderly. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a general surgeon!

Dr. Skinner saw my Dad in the ER. If Dr. Skinner had not seen him, he quite possibly would have had a severe problem which could have caused major issues. Dr. Skinner called one of the Urologists to see him and he performed surgery that night. I am so thankful that Dr. Skinner came to see my dad when he was called..because he was off with his family and really did not have to come but he did. After a truly terrible experience at Dale Medical Center in Ozark, Dr. Skinner diagnosed and performed my cholecystectomy in a span of less than a week. He's a consummate professional and fantastic surgeon and I couldn't be more pleased with his work. My recovery was issue free and I'd highly recommend his services for anyone with surgical needs. My wife had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Skinner in the late March/early April timeframe, which his staff rescheduled because he was going on vacation. They rescheduled for the following week. My wife is a small business owner in the Wiregrass. She had to be at work not later than 9 a.m. and it was approximately 45 minutes to get from the doctor's to work so an 8:15 departure was the latest she could leave. She had an appointment at 7:15 and was asked by the staff to arrive at 7. When she did, the office was locked. At 7:10, a staff person arrived and let her in. She was first appointment of the day and specifically made the appointment at that time because of her work requirements. At 7:40, the staff took her to the back room to get her vitals. When she finished, the staff sent her back to the waiting room. At 8:00 they brought her to one of the single waiting rooms to await the doctor. At 8:15 she heard the doctor and staff talking in the hallway about his Hawaii vacation. The conversation lasted a few minutes. At 8:20 she opened the door and told the nurse she had to go. The nurse said, "But the doctor is here now." She repeated she had to leave to get to work. Over the weekend we received a bill for for the office call. Never again. She's finding a new specialist. My name is Grady Smith and he has been my doctor for 7 years. He has operated on me about 6 times and I have had no problems. His office staff is very caring, I would recommend Dr. Skinner to anyone I know.

The surgeon had performed a minor surgery on our daughter, removing a small pin stuck in her foot. The surgery experience was fine, the doctor was friendly, appointment was easily made. Things went south on the post-op appointment. We explicity asked the staff if there would be a co-pay for the post-op office visit to remove the stitches and we were informed that the visit is part of the procedure and there will not be any co-pay. After the visit we got an EOB from our insurance stating that we owed a co-pay for that visit. A few week after that we got a bill from the Dr's office. Upon following up, the staff very rudely denied ever telling us that there won't be a co-pay for that visit. The staff was very insensitively reminded us that it could have been worse, "Your daughter's foot could have been amputated" were her words in addition to reminding us that "be thankful you have insurance". If you ever want to be misguided and misinformed, you should look to speak to Dr Skinner's staff

The best thing I think you should do is STAY AWAY.... He did my hernia repair, or what should have been and have had lots to problems. When I had a scan of my abdomen it showed problems but he said the scan came back OK....
