After seeing him for the first time, I know I won't be back. I am a long time cpap user and even after loosing weight my hematocrit levels were getting high. I check my blood o2 at night with my watch and had levels as low as 78 at night. Doc said what makes you think the watch is accurate. So I bought a $175.00 meter to sleep with and had the same result. My a.h.i. averages 1.3. Still foggy and tired during the day. He said sleep longer. I asked for supplemental o2. He sent me home with one of their monitors and I was told my o2 level was no low more than 15 minutes. So no o2 would be needed. I called my insurance company and explained the problem, after having every test possible ran the only outstanding thing was my low o2 levels. The insurance company told me to ask my family doctor to write the script and they would fill it. The next day, I had o2 and my levels remained above 90% I now have normal hematocrit levels, sleep like a baby, and feel normal throuout the day. By the way, I don't have a medical degree but it just goes to show, you have to take your health into your own hands. Trust me, if this would have been his family member, this would have been handled. What a quack. I have reported this interaction to my insurance company and next is to the medical board.

I was in hospital back in 2019 and thought he was a great pulmonologist very caring and straight to the point.

We are very impressed! We have spent 13 years and countless doctors trying to figure out what is wrong. Dr. Ruzi spent the time needed to understand, determined what tests needed to be performed and came up with the correct diagnosis.

Dr. Ruzi spent considerable time during the initial interview, asked questions we’ve never been asked, identified tangential issues not previously on our radar, and described how different breathing could be for our daughter in the very realistic timeframe of one (1) year. Dr. Ruzi is absolutely wonderful!! He is very caring and compassionate and took his time and answered all my questions and went above and beyond to refer me to another doctor who will be able to resolve my breathing issues. I am eternally grateful and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I was referred to Dr. Jonathan Ruzi by my Family Practitioner. During the process of booking my first appointment I was treated as a priority. It was evident Dr. Ruzi was communicating with his staff and that they were executing his directives as requested. At our first appointment, Dr. Ruzi’s first consideration due to Covid was that I could call a family member or friend to listen in on the appointment if I felt that would be helpful. I did and it was. He was very prepared to discuss my medical situation and thoroughly reviewed my medical history allowing ample time for me to ask questions. Because of the nature of my pending diagnosis the additional testing he ordered labeled stat and this tone of urgency has continued. Dr. Ruzi is an excellent physician, and communicator who is dedicated to his patient’s well-being.

Moved to Arizona from California and after much research I finally found my primary care physician followed my my specialists. My primary care physician was familiar with Dr Ruzi and said he was very good. I've had 2 apts so far w Dr Ruzi and I just love him. Hes very caring. Hes very thorough. He takes his time and explains everything so you don't feel rushed. His staff is awesome. Everyone is so friendly. Most important Dr Ruzi is very knowledgeable in his field and has very good options I have nothing but good things to say. If you need a good pulmonary dr I highly recommend him. I was so impressed that I told my mother-in-law all about my apt because she kept trying to get me to go to her dr. She's now switching over to Dr Ruzi as soon as she's ready to leave the house again due to covid. Thanks Dr Ruzi....

I received good care from Dr Jonathan Ruzzi. Highly recommend him.

I was recently hospitalized for a mediastinal emphysema and pneumothorax, a fancy way to say part of my lung ruptured and resulted in a small collapse. I strongly dislike the medical community and have had very few satisfactory encounters with doctors. My experience with Dr. Ruzi was exceptional. He calmed my nerves about the situation, supported by his analysis of my test results. During my post-release follow up, Dr. Ruzi recommended an additional test, that I felt was very proportional to our concerns. Finally, I was more or less given a 'clean bill of health' with option to return to him for a check up in a year. Overall, incredible experience - thank you Dr. Ruzi.

I would highly recommend Dr. Ruzi! He was extremely attentive and thorough. He spent a lot to time reviewing my health history with me and he discussed different ideas that might improve my breathing problems. I felt so much better after having seen him! I feel like he really cared about my breathing issues and will do whatever he can to help. So lucky to be his patient!!!

In an urgent situation involving chest pain, the staff at AZ Pulmonologist got me in for a same day visit. Dr Ruzi was compassionate, reassuring, and he and his staff did an excellent job with a procedure which ultimately solved my lung issue. I would recommend Dr Ruzi and his awesome office and hospital staff for Your pulmonary needs! Thank you!

Ratings should be based on the doctor. However, the reason this office is busy due to their great reputation. My cardiologist referred me to Dr. Ruzi. Why? Because he is his doctor and he says he's great. And my cardiologist is really well respected and a doctor who takes time with you. So does Dr. Ruzi. I am always careful with doctors as a Medical Power of Attorney for several. And I do my homework. I can say this doctor spent his time with me, asking me the pertinent questions, and listening when I spoke. I found his staff really friendly although obviously busy, yet my wait was not long. Amazing Pulmonary Specialist! I have been seeing Dr. Ruzi since I was a teenager -16 years and counting. In the last 10 years, with his supportive care, my lung capacity has improved by 30%. He has always been available when I've needed him, and I truly don't know what I will do the day he tells me he's deciding to retire. He is my go to doctor for support and even if I need a referral to someone else in a different field. Amazing Pulmonary Specialist! I have been seeing Dr. Ruzi since I was a teenager -16 years and counting. He has helped manage my asthma from a point where we never thought I would be above 70% lung capacity. In the last 10 years with his supportive care, I have been able to get to 90%. He has always been available when I've needed him, and I truly don't know what I will do the day he tells me he's deciding to retire. He is my go to doctor for support and even if I need a referral to someone else in a different field. I trust him without question and highly recommend him for anyone looking for a truly supportive and caring pulmonary specialist.

Awful doctor. Staff was good. RT was good.

Have the worst experience in communication with this office! Always talking to the machine, never to a live person, waiting time for response 2-3 days or NEVER! Crazy for an office with so many doctors. But looks like no one in this office including doctors are eager to work, since you can get appointment only 2 months ahead.

Dr. Ruzi examined me while I was being treated for pneumonia at Honor Health-Shea hospital. I was struck by his cordiality, unhurried care, and attentiveness in performing the examination [where he noticed several aspects of my condition that other caregivers hadn't mentioned to me]. I am very surprised to see low ratings of his work; I would give him a higher rating than here, if my experience with him were more extensive.

Dr Ruiz became my pulmonologist when I was hospitalized with pneumonia in both lungs after returning from Mexico. The pneumonia wasn't responding to meds, breathing treatments, etc, plus a nodule was found.. After 8 days, , he realeased me, indicating the risks of other infections from long hospitalization were a risk. Dr Ruiz also had a sleep study done after recovery. I am really shocked to see a low grade for Dr Ruiz. I feel fortunate to be his patient. His PA, Ida is also excellent!

Dr. Ruzi's office staff is professional and on time. The office and equipment is very is clean. Dr. Ruzi took the time to review my test results with me and explain my condition and how to treat it. I found him to be professional and he is very exacting.
