This is such a great practice with great people and Doctors!

Went to Dr. MASON for herniated disc causing pain in right hip that was pretty much the only pain I had. After surgery I still have pain in right hip plus pain in lower right side of back,right leg is numb from knee down,right leg is weak,calf and thigh muscles keep trying to cramp. Went back for post opt he gave me some pain medication and told me to come back in 2 weeks. Two weeks later a woman saw me who was clearly new said give it 2 more weeks. I stopped going because all they tell you is give it two more weeks. Been three months now and still in pain. Looking for a new Doctor.

I was able to see Dr. Mason quickly after an accident. It was great to be able to get the MRI and do physical therapy at the same office after surgery. Dr. Mason is obviously very skilled and knows his stuff and has a friendly staff.

I would like to give Dr.Jonathan Mason ( his assistant too) two thumbs up. Many thanks for your skills and kindness to me through this bump in the road! I mostly appreciate the compassion you expressed on the pain I have been experiencing during my appointment and the excellent surgery you performed on me that took care of pain right away. You are a person all patients are trust.

Doctor Mason and Staff are professional, thorough, and I had a full sense of comfort.

He explained my options and the procedure in a way I could understand. He listened to my concerns and answered questions from my spouse and myself. A year after my surgery, I feel much better than I did before the surgery!

I have found Dr Mason to be a good over all doctor. No long wait times, he listens and takes your opinion, before giving you his. I would rate Dr Mason as Top Notch.

Dr. Mason did my Minimally Invasive Micro Discectomy last week and I was almost completely pain free and walking out of the hospitial just two hours after the procedure. Dr. Mason was very helpful and explained all of the details along the way, the possible risk and expected outcome. After dealing with this issue for nine years I wish that I had done this sooner and would recomend Dr. Mason to anyone with similar symptoms. Dr Mason is a true professional! He told me what the procedure entailed and what to expect after the operation. Everything he said was exactly as I experienced. His bed side manner was top shelf. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of back surgery.

My husband had neck surgery Nov. 2018 . Dr. Mason was professional but also very personable and showed interest in him as a person and what his expectations were after recovery. He now is able to do tasks he couldn't for over a year and being able to pick up his grand kids again makes everyone happy. He is building up strength in his neck and shoulders again and back on the golf course with an impressive score!

If you are looking at this, you are probably trying to decide whether to choose Tidewater Orthopaedics. I have been a patient since they opened. In 2017, Dr. Jonathan Mason performed a completely successful spinal fusion and laminectomy on me. In March of this year, because I lifted a 40lb bag the wrong way, injuring a completely different part of my spine, I returned to Dr. Mason and he performed a successful discectomy. He is a miracle worker! I would not trust my body to any other orthopaedic group. They work hand-in-hand with the greatest PT department anywhere. Headed by DPT Mike McFarland, I can't recommend this group enough. I am back to walking as far as I want and being able to stand.

If I could give a zero, I would. I was injured almost 30 years ago and have a permanent disability. Dr Jonathan Mason refused to see me because of it. If I could give a zero, I would. I was injured almost 30 years ago and have a permanent disability. Dr Jonathan Mason refused to see me because of it. I guess he only wants patients who are a quick fix. So if you have an injury that might need follow-up, I suggest you go to a different medical group.

I recommend DR. Mason to anyone that has back issues. He found the issue with my back when no one else could..He fixed the problem and gave me my life back..
