Dr. Jonathan David Kaye

Waited 4 hours and left without EVER seeing the doctor.... Our son's day procedure was scheduled for 12:45. We arrived early (3 hour drive). Registration process was quick and nurses came to take us back in less than ten minutes. Nurses were AWESOME at bonding with our son. Although he had to fast, as soon as we changed him into his gown, a nurse offered more pedialyte. Apparently the doctor's first procedure ran long. My baby finished off the pedialyte a little after 1pm. The nurse said it would be about an hour wait. She returned about and hour later offering for us to go get food if we were hungry. We declined and wanted to know when our son would be seen. She informed us it would be another hour. A tech with the anesthesiologist came to speak with us and the nurse returned again offering snacks. She went to get gatorade and when she returned we asked about the wait time. She said another hour. I waited until an hour later ( about 4:30) to go to the nurses desk to ask when the procedure would take place. The new nurse on staff came in and called the nurse in the surgery area and she didn't know- she was on speaker phone so we could hear. At this point my son hadn't had any milk in HOURS. The last time he had pedialyte was three hours prior. They wanted us to stay but couldn't give a definite time. The doctor never showed his face and the nurses were lost. No one could offer ANY explanation. My baby starved for hours for nothing. Worst experience ever. I wouldn't recommend Cook's or Dr. Kaye's services to anyone based off of this experience. They need to consider people's time and the fact that no one is going to make their child suffer any longer than necessary. To be honest, during the consult, Dr. Kaye seemed rushed and impatient. He offered for us to ask questions but seemed annoyed when we did. I suppose it was God's intervention and it wasn't meant for our son to be in his care.

Very bad experience. Staff seems inexperienced. Extremely long wait time.

Dr. Kaye is an amazing doctor and made my son feel very comfortable and us also. Thank you Dr Kaye for everything

This was by far the most efficient doctor’s appointment I have ever had with my children...and we have three kids! He and his nurses addressed all of our concerns in a thoughtful and kind manner and he answered all of our questions throughly. I will definitely refer my friends to him! Every time i have to come here he takes 2 hours to come in the room. Every single time. It would be more productive to just walk out of the stupid office..

Very poor experience. During the initial pre-op appointment he wanted to take my son's testicles completely out because there's a possibility he may not have children! Even so, that's no reason to castrate a person! Another issue we had- the day of the surgery, the RN called us in an hour early, saying the dr was running ahead of schedule, we get there early, and have to wait over 4 hours for dr to show up- he was not running early, RNs say he does this all the time, there was no emergency or issue that caused his schedule to change, this is the way he conducts surgeries. He didn't spend much time post-op explaining how to take care of the incisions and what to do, he talked too fast and didn't allow for any questions from us. Lastly- he failed to tell us to schedule a follow-up for incision check 2 weeks, post-op, he said it was 3 months post-op. after further investigation, it should've been 2 weeks, not 3 months- after 3 months, my son was healed, you don't do an incision check that late after... My daughter has been with Dr Kaye since birth. He’s great

Dr. Kaye was wonderful! I didn't wait long to see him and when he came into the room he waz very warm and relaxing. He gave his honest opinions, also gave us our options! He was knowledgeable about his craft and also the other Dr's practicing his craft! He spoke directly to my son which made him open up and be comfortable! I am glad I selected him to care for my son! I am not the easiest Mom to please!

Dr. Kaye is a great dr but the fact tht i have to sit in a room with angery children screaming for 2 hours makes me want to never come back here. I would not recommend to anybody.

Dr. Kaye was a wonderful doctor. However, his staff lacks any professionalism and any kind of bed side manner. Patients that see Dr. Kaye are very sick and dealing with this staff makes it almost unbearable to go to this doctor. Not impressed at all. I will be steering my friends and family away from this practice.
