As a first time mother, this was by far the worst OBGYN experience. I felt rushed, talked down to, and made to feel like I was crazy for asking questions about labor and delivery when I’m “only” 24 weeks. When I told him I didn’t like how this experience went he tried to back track but still barely answered any questions. Our appointment was only half an hour — 15 minutes and 2 questions in he already seemed annoyed. I do not think he saw me as a human but rather as an appointment he needed to get through. He is clearly in the wrong profession if he doesn’t have the time to answer questions. Pregnant or not, I will never be seeing him again. If you are a first time Mom, I would never go to this Doctor. He lacks bedside manner, was an hour late for our appointment and was in a rush to even explain everything. He was very condescending on the very first time we met, he lacks empathy and building rapport, getting to know his patient is not in his vocabulary. When you voice out your concerns he would brush it off and will make you feel that you are crazy to ask such questions. He’s words are not comforting at all. If you don’t want to add another stressor in your pregnancy, find someone that you can voice your concerns freely. If you are a first time Mom, I would never go to this Doctor. Dr. Friedes made a comment after inserting my copper IUD(very painful for me) that at least with the pain of having a baby "you get a reward". He seemed to be implying that a baby is a reward that I should want, rather than preventing one with an IUD. I cannot go back to him for this reason. He may be kind to women having babies, but he lacks bedside manner and empathy for women who take steps to prevent pregnancy for personal reasons.

Great Doctor! Dr Friedes took care of me during my whole pregnancy. He was excellent. Nothing bad to say. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Friedes wasn't helpful and even though my IUD wasn't properly placed he wouldn't schedule a procedure to remove it for two months.
