It’s very sad that he spent literally 10 seconds with my 82 year old mom. Did not ask if she or I had any questions or concerns. Entered the room with gloves on and left the room with gloves on. Apparently too busy to wash his hands. He may be a good clinician for Macular Degeneration, but has zero bedside manor and zero communication skills with his patient. Had I not overheard him telling his medical assistant that my mom has advanced dry macular degeneration in her right eye, I would have never known. She had been treated for WMD in her left eye and it’s now scarred, so nothing more can be done with it- which he did state at the last 20 second appointment. As an RN myself, I find this appalling.

I had a visit today to make sure I did not have a retina rip. He seemed very busy and did not explain much.(I was lucky if he told me who he was)Although his nursing staff was very friendly and they explained everything to me and were very helpful.However he did seem knowledgeable (from the procedure is nurse told me he was going to do).

Dr.Bernstein was a very hard working and knowledgeable.He was so busy and handled everything well.His assistants were very hardworking and professional.

We had a scheduled appointment for -late in the afternoon- We signed in approximately 10 minutes early It is now 5:00 and no one has come out to let you know they will be with you shortly or that he is doing a study to see how long someone is willing to wait. Very poor consideration for a patients time. Having been in retail my whole career and providing services to doctors, lawyers etc... not one of them would ever (EVER) wait more then 10 minutes with out flexing there status mussels to let you know what and who they are. 5:10 and just got walked back to the office. He is a real pro. You can tell immediately that he has been dedicated to his profession. I had rather complicated measures undertaken and I never felt in jeopardy, complete faith in his capabilities. No doubt about his capabilities.
