Dr Zinsser is an amazing surgeon. The culture of caring extends throughout the entire staff. I can't say enough about how positive and affirming my experiences have been.

Deciding to rejuvenate areas related to aging over 60 I began the search for a plastic surgeon. While I have read plenty of reviews on opinions of plastic surgeons and their staff, hearing words like nice staff, felt comfortable, listened to my concerns and questions. Bottom line the number one quality I needed reassurance for was expertise and competency based on experience of medical training with an eye for aesthetic detail to create an outstanding personalized result. Dr. Zinsser absolutely nailed it. I am more them pleased and satisfied with the final results. WB

I had a tummy tuck with Dr Zinsser 10/2021. My nerves were on 10 the morning of surgery. I just remember him coming in with a great energy. Just humming and bopping around. Excited for me. I saw the cross on the wall. The nurses and him have great bedside manner. I was at complete peace. During recovery, he answered my husbands calls day or night. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I found him due to a facebook post. I neva looked for another surgeon after meeting him. I am completely ecstatic over this choice!! If you are on the fence, reach out to his wonderful staff. You will not be sorry. They truly care that you are happy with your results.

Wouldn't trust anyone other than Dr. Zinsser with my plastic surgery related needs/decisions. He is thorough and really cares about his patients. He spends the time to explain everything and makes you feel comfortable. Would recommend to anyone considering plastic surgery or injectables.

I am so content with my surgery. I had a ETT with MR and Lipo to flanks and it is a life changer for me. My confidence is so much higher since I hated my stomach before. Do NOT let this man touch your FACE. I have a permanent botched indentations on my face years later. Do your research. Have attempted to get work fixed by another surgeon and it still is not right.

Would not recommend for breast augmentation unless you want to shell out an additional $8,000 to another surgeon to fix his mistakes. I’m in incredible pain after my small 275cc implants bottomed out immediately after surgery. He was not empathetic and was full of nothing but excuses and even misdiagnosed me. Usually surgeons would not charge you to fix something they screwed up, well Dr. Zinsser will. I suggest looking elsewhere! From the moment I met with Dr Zinsser I "knew" this was the doctor for me! He was very thorough with explaining EVERYTHING. His staff was "on the ball" with details - even the ones I had not thought of - in preparing for my surgery. No one made me feel that I was taking up their time. The day of surgery -while I was being "prepped," Dr Z met with me briefly and THAT helped me feel calm &that I was indeed in good hands. After the surgery Dr Zinsser called later that evening to make sure all was going as expected. Follow up appts were thorough and kept me informed as to what I was to do (and not do). Every step of the way was a wonderful experience. And my outcome is even better than I had hoped for. I came away from the whole experience feeling that not only did I get exceptional work from Dr. Zinsser's talent as a plastic surgeon, but that this doctor has excellent "people skills," and THAT he cares about what he does....And so does his staff!

I had saline implants that were done in 2004 I was having capsular contracture and needed to have them replaced. Dr Zinsser did an amazing job. My new implants look and feel amazing and are so much more natural than my old saline implants. I am thrilled with the results!

Dr. Zinnser is by far the most competent plastic surgeon in the Richmond area. I had a canthoplasty, revision abdominoplasty, and replacement of breast implants. He had also removed fatty tissue from my arm pits, at an earlier time, and there is no noticeable scars. I was not only extremely pleased with the results of my surgeries but I was actually very impressed and surprised at how well they turned out. I can speak from experience because I have been to many doctors in the past for cosmetic procedures, two of which Dr. Zinnser had to correct for me. The abdominoplasty was one of those procedures and I must say that my abdomen has not looked this good since I was a teenager! The entire staff is very helpful and friendly. I saw Dr. Zinsser for a face lift in the summer of 2015. He was thorough, my follow-up visits were numerous and timely, the price is quite competitive, and he did a wonderful job. I recommend him highly.

It's such a shame that I put my trust in Dr. Zinsser and was left with a much worse appearance than before I began. I would highly recommend Dr. Zinsser to anyone. From day one I knew he was the doctor I wanted to use for my breast augmentation and mastoplexy. He is kind, patient, and very professional. I went to Dr. Zinsser in January 2015 for a facial feminization surgery (FFS) consultation. I had expected to be told that I needed a laundry list of expensive procedures – extensive and invasive forehead work, hairline advancement, brow lift, eyelid work, nose, cheeks, jaw, chin, lips etc. – but instead was extremely surprised to find that Dr. Zinsser (1) listened first – really listened – to what I was looking for (i.e. conservative tweaking towards a more feminine appearance rather than becoming someone who has obviously undergone extensive plastic surgery), and (2) suggested only those procedures that I actually needed, given my goals. He took the time to answer all of my questions, performed a thorough examination of my face, and explained every procedure extremely clearly. There was never even a hint of any high-pressure sales tactics from him or his staff, nor any hint that I was being steered towards additional procedures that would benefit the surgeon’s wallet more than my face or that would have limited usefulness in feminizing my appearance. We decided on a rhinoplasty, mild forehead contouring, a brow lift, and hairline advancement. The entire consultation – as has been the case with every other pre-op and post-op appointment since – was unhurried and reassuring; this is no production-line surgical practice, nor are patients seen as dollars. In terms of how the office dealt with the somewhat unique needs of transgender patients who (like me) might be mid-transition and extremely self-conscious, I could not have asked for a better experience. From the very first appointment, Dr. Zinsser and his staff have been extraordinarily accommodating and trans-friendly; no issues with names or pronouns, and no awkward moments whatsoever. A perfect example of how transgender healthcare should be delivered – completely transparently. It was extremely comforting to know that the guy wielding the knife was the same guy who I had been consulting with throughout the entire process. I went to sleep on the big day knowing precisely what was being done, who it was being done by, and precisely what to expect when I woke up. I did go home the day of surgery, but returned to Dr. Zinsser’s office the following morning for a thorough check-up, change of bandages, etc. The rest of that week was spent recovering (the first couple of days of which were miserable, as one would expect), then another follow-up. I was not traveling from out of town and had people staying with me at home that first week for assistance. The second week, I could have managed on my own if need be. But who cares about price and friendliness when the results are what really matter. And as far as results go, I can’t speak highly enough. I would gladly put my face – pre-op and post-op – up against similar work performed by the big and pricey names in FFS with the fancy web sites. Better still, I can also state with certainty that the results achieved by Dr. Zinsser are natural-looking. I’m now a more feminine “me”, which is precisely what I wanted. Cost? Without quoting figures, it was about half the cost of similar procedures done elsewhere. Please don’t think that your FFS choices are limited to either doing nothing whatsoever (and keeping your masculine features) or spending your entire life savings on “brand name” facial feminization surgery which is – let’s face it (and I’m in no way diminishing the complexity of the surgery itself or the skill of the surgeons) – nothing more than a set of common cosmetic procedures grouped together and sold in a very expensive wrapper to patients often desperate for anything that can help erase their prior male appearance. There is a sensible middle ground; Dr. Zinsser managed to provide first-class FFS performed at prices that don’t take advantage of the insecurities of transgender patients.
