John P Ziegler

The best doctor out there!

I am very pleased to have Dr,. Ziegler as my primary physician. He has more energy than my previous doctor and he listens to my concerns. Also, because he is in the Lexington Clinic, he is able to make referrals to highly qualified specialists who also work for the clinic at any of the other locations in town.

Wonderful doctor!!

Dr. Ziegler is hands down, an amazing doctor! He made me feel like he had known me for years, I was so comfortable discussing my medical needs, which are often awkward to discuss with a new doctor! I recommend him to everyone! You often get a sense of rushing with physicians, but he spent nearly an hour listening to me, and even more important he asked questions! Wow. Thank you Dr Z! Nice guy listens

Dr. Ziegler correctly diagnosed/treated several significant health issues--for myself, my wife, and children. Things missed by all other previous family doctors we have ever had. I attribute this to his peerless and genuine listening skills, to his knowledge, and to his honesty. That he is empathetic, optimistic, friendly, and yet professional was all just a bonus. It has changed my life, and that of my families. Regretfully, we have since moved back to the west for work and family reasons; but, seriously considered staying in Lexington due to having found this wonderdul, expert family physician. If you are looking for a family doctor, live in that area, and Dr. Ziegler is accepting new patients, you may want to jump on it. Trust me.

So confused, went to another doctor today for 2nd opinion and got same answer Ziegler gave me so I decided to go back to him and now he refuses to see again because I went to a different doctor! Dr. Ziegler is wonderful. He listens and offers the best treatments and explains everything. He is very efficient and very easy to talk to. His staff is very efficient as well. I highly recommend him.

My primary care physician at Kentucky One Health recently moved and the new doctor they assigned me to was awful! I’ve had so many doctors that never listened to anything I said...or even asked for input about MY care. I stopped into Andover Clinic as a walk-in patient when I wasn't feeling well one day and they were wonderful! I established care with Dr. Ziegler and he is great! He didn't make me feel rushed, was very thorough, listened intently about my concerns, caring, asked a lot of questions, etc. Everything a great primary care doctor should be! I know it's so hard to find a good doctor...I could've settled for the doctor I was seeing before and never wanted to visit...but I wanted a doctor who genuinely cares about my health. I’ve been seeing Dr. Ziegler for years and have always been happy with his extremely high level of professionalism, but also his personal approach to my health. I know he sees hundreds of patients but always make me feel like I’m the only one. I highly recommend Dr Ziegler and Andover Lexingron Clinic!

Worst Doctor in Lexington!! Only cares about cashing his check!! One quack of a Doc!!

At 1st, I had a very positive experience with doctor ziglar. Unfortunately, I moved to northern Kentucky and kept him as my primary care seeing that I'm in Lexington often. I ran out of refills for my rescue Inhaler , which I need, and was told that under no circumstances he would call in another refill until I could make it to Lexington for an appointment. I explain to the Receptionist that I was happy to make an appointment but I needed the rescue inhaler today seeing as I have felt on the verge of an asthma attack. I was again denied. He is the primary care physician for both me and my wife, and has been for several years. We are extremely happy with him, and we do not foresee ever needing to change to another.

Dr Ziegler was great, actually listens to you and seems to care about his patients. I've only been twice and the ladies up front remembered me and we're extremely nice and caring. Someone named Emily talked down to me during my first visit, because I asked a question about the process of my urine screen and when the prescription would actually be called in(this was my first time so I was unsure if how that worked). No reason to talk to someone like they're stupid because they asked a legitimate question in a polite way. She seemed busy so she was probably having a bad day and I don't think she came across like that on purpose. Overall five stars, all of the staff members were very nice and made me feel very welcome. Ziegler was very quick as well, if you schedule an appt you'll be in an out in half an hour at most. Dr Ziegler was great, actually listens to you and seems to care about his patients. I am a nurse so when I write this review keep in mind I have worked with several doctors. Dr Z. is an excellent physician. This guy has the whole package from a wealth of medical knowledge to a very warm and caring bedside manner. He will listen to his patient and let them be as involved as they wish in the treatment process. He's the best general practitioner I have ever had the pleasure of discussing treatment options with as far as medication dosages and sypmtom management. His staff is friendly and prompt will all request, 100% patient centered. Give Dr.Z a try, you won't regret it.
