Very caring doctor and staff

With a husband always on the move(army) and no family nearby, I have only my children to talk to (In person) Dr.Yu had no idea that I have not had a sit down and normal conversation with another adult in 3 years! I assumed this visit would be like any other Doctor's visit (dismissive and little to no convo.) He talked to with me like old friends picking up where we left off. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything even if I'd ask the same questions over and over. I went in with severe chest pains and doubt, and left with confidence knowing I could trust him with my heart. Dr. Yu has been a major blessing in my time of need for a cardiologist. I just graduated college, found myself without health care and with a minor heart condition. Dr. Yu was one of the only doctors that didn't make me feel as if I was untreatable due to no insurance. He gave me all of my options and was very patient with me. His entire office staff is very nice and Dr. Yu is very knowledgeable. Dr. Yu has been a major blessing in my time of need for a cardiologist. I am a difficult patient and I need a doctor that I can respect enough to follow his/her instruction. Dr Yu is very patient with me but very clear about my diagnosis. He is thorough and honest about what I need to do to have better health overall. I don't trust my heart with anyone else.

Dr Yu is every caring person and always takes time with his patients.He always has time for a phone call.

Although I’m sure he is highly intellectual, that does not excuse his behavior while I was in ICU under his care. He didn’t care to listen to me or want to know if I had questions. I’ll never recommend someone like him to anyone based on his treatment towards me. Being human to another while they are a patient in ICU of all things should never be felt like they are a hindrance. A doctor should always care and not be walking out the door asking “do you have questions”! Stay away!

Dr. Yu's competence level is off the charts. He's a brilliant man that spends careful one on one time with his patients. For my cardio care and because I want to live a long time, I simply can't risk going anywhere else. Absolutely recomended!

Dr. Yu is an extremely thorough cardiologiist. He listens to your symptoms and concerns and analyzes your complete cardiovascular system. He is very precise and analytical with his diagnosis. He discusses every detail in the results of your tests. And you never feel hurried with him. He is also very kind and warm hearted. The reason I rated trust in providers decisions at four is because I have not attained that level of confidence yet to provide a five. It's only been 3 months.

I am the billing manager for Dr. Yu's new billing company. We have been working with him since December 1, 2017. We are very careful to keep accurate records of what is billed and what is paid by all patients. If there is a question, we are available to discuss it with you. Please feel free to send me an email at any time. jmarshall3@windstream.net. Dr. Yu is genuinly concernerd about his patients well being, including the accuracy of any bills they receive.

The bills I received do not take into account 1) the amount I paid at the time of my office visit, and 2) the discounted rate for services I receive through my insurer. If I had not reviewed my EOB, I would have been tricked into paying more than twice as much for my visit. This was an ongoing issue, which appears intentional. I have now switched to another doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yu for over 10 years. Of all my doctors I rate him at the top. He is highly intelligent and is also an excellent internal medicine doctor. He recently installed a pacemaker for me and I feel like a new man. My energy level is higher than it has been in 30 years. When I first met him he was in practice with two other doctors and he told me he was the electrician and his partners were the plumbers. I would highly recommend Dr. Yu to anyone needing a cardiologist

DR. YU LISTENED TO MY HEART ONE TIME. AND SAID SOMETHING WAS WRONG. SIX MONTHS LATER I HAD SURGERY. THAT WAS 2 YEARS AGO. I'M STILL HERE. MY SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN AND I SAY THANK YOU.

Dr. Yu is a sharp and thorough physician. He asks questions that require precise answers. Because I never gave any thought to the frequency or intensity of my pain, answering the questions was difficult at first; however, it made me more aware of the importance of my answers in my treatment. Now, I record as much information as possible so Dr. Yu will obtain a complete picture my situation. I enjoyed reading about him and his extensive experience and am confident that finally I will improve.

I would recommend Dr. Yu to anyone having heart issues. He is compassionate, understanding and his mannerism is beyond compare. His office staff (Pearland) are wonderful ladies. I can't imagine putting my issues in anyone else's hands.

The staff at this office has to be the worst I have ever encountered. I had scheduled an appointment when I arrived I was told I didn't have an appointment that day it was 2 weeks later. I asked to see the nurse, she was to busy so she would call later. I never got a call. I called after explaning why I was calling I was told that I did have the appointment but it was moved to the later date. I have called 4 times to get my meds refilled, I still do not have my refills I am changing Dr's.

I could not get a return call concerning my questions on the prescribed medication. My primary needed to know why I was not on an ace inhibitor or a beta blocker and my dentist needed to modify my medications for some crown work. After 4 calls with no information or returned call, I was forced to switch doctors. Couple that with me never receiving a stint card and I wonder how this facility is still practicing medicine.
