Dr. Wild did my husband's knee replacement. Very good surgeon and his staff are friendly and helpful.

Dr. Wild explained what was happening to my husbands knee. We really liked him a lot.

Dr Wild did knee replacements on both of my knees—in 2009 and 2013. He has followed up with me at regular intervals. I have had no problems with either knee. According to recent X-rays (Feb 2022), he estimated that the knees should last another 20 years. I am very happy with his care.

He is very knowledgeable and realistic about after surgery care

Dr. Wild performed total hip replacement surgery. Surgery was completely successful and I am now recovering (after 2 weeks). Dr. Wild is caring and warm, totally competent and happy to answer any questions. His PA-C - Brent Walker - is cut from the same mold - competent, caring and warm. His surgery coordinator - Veronica - was wonderful and jumped through hoops getting a last minute cardiologist permission signed and entered right before my surgery. My 2 day recovery in TMC/TOI was excellent. The nurses and staff at TMC are wonderful (they were always cheerful and caring even when taking vitals from a grumpy patient at 3AM! How do they do that?) TMC recovery floor (4th floor for TOI) is state of the art and looks recently updated. I would recommend Dr. Wild and the whole TMC/TOI staff to anyone.

This is the second time I’ve seen Dr Wild, he also worked with me when I broke my wrist. He’s great at what he does and he moves quickly. The support staff is also fantastic and friendly and I always feel taken care of.

Went in to see Dr Wild for a knee problem he explained everything to me made me feel real comfortable and he talked to me about my options. He was a very nice person I will see him next time I have a check up. I would recommend him if you have knee problems he tells like it is.

Dr. Wild is a good Doctor, he knows what he’s doing, I feel happy because everything is going very well after my surgery.

John Wild (aka, "Papa") is an artist. This may be a different way to start my review, but I was impressed with his remarkable skill set and experience. In working with him prior as a nurse at the medical center, I felt confident getting a preop consult from him for my arthritic hips. Although the surgeries were during the Covid pandemic, and his schedule drawn out, I went into the procedures knowing I was in very good hands! So yes, artistically speaking he did both hips 3 mos apart, and they matched up perfectly. Plus he was focused on keeping any sort of potential infections from occurring. Very good job, Sir!

Dr Wild is professional and takes his time to answer all questions throughly. His P.A. Is friendly and helpful. My TKA was performed without any problems and my hospital stay was excellent. The room was private and the medical staff attentive. Love the meal ordering system( even the food was reasonably good). 5 star experience!

Doctor Wild replaced my left knee last year and my right knee this past May 2020. Both surgeries went perfectly with no complications and I am so grateful to have my mobility restored. He is the absolute best knee surgeon in Tucson, in my opinion. The only drawback is that he is so heavily scheduled I had to wait several months to get on the surgery schedule. That's not his fault and it's worth the wait!

My second OP with Dr John Wild. First a TKR and then my THR! Both have been very successful and given me my life back. Dr Wild is a brilliant and highly talented surgeon. Would recommend anyone to him.

I worked in physical therapy for many years and knew Dr Wilds name and I've heard many wonderful things about him. Being in the medical field I am a little more picky about which doctors I see. I couldn't get into my regular orthopedic doctor for 6 months. I couldn't wait that long, my pain level was too much. My PCP recommended me to go see Dr Wild, which would have been my choice had she not recommended him. He listen to what I had to say. He asked me why I didn't go see my Ortho Dr for my knee pain and I told him it was easier to get into his service than my own Doctor who I trust very much. Both my knees are shot and he gave me injections so I could actually walk around without pain amd work on losing weight so I can have my knees replaced. This is probably the only other Ortho doc I trust doing my surgery.

Dr Wild was recommended by a doctor friend of mine. Went to see him for the initial appointment and was impressed with his manner. Hey, he's a surgeon, so warm and fuzzy he is not, but I liked his direct manner. Decided he was the one to replace my knees. since then I have run into 2 of my other docs, and when I told them he was going to be my surgeon, they both had the same response:" He's the best in town". They were right. The operation went smoothly, the overnight stay could not have been better, and every person I came in contact with at TOI was both knowledgeable and friendly. I am not exactly "looking forward" to returning to have the second knee done, but I am definitely not dreading it now that I know Dr Wild and the TOI staff will be there for me

This was my second pre-op visit. He is very thorough in reviewing my condition and very thorough about what to expect. He replaced my left knee and now the right, but he did not assume that I remembered everything. He is very professional and courteous. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Wild did a total right knee replacement on me in October 2019. I found him to be professional.knowledgeable and kind. I referred him to my mama and my son, I think he’s great! We have plans for him to operate on my left knee next October. His office personnel was amazing and always very helpful! That’s not always the case.

He is a man of few words, but big heart. I had infection in my knee and he did 2 emergency procedures, which he added on at the end of his regular schedule. At 7 pm !

This is how a medical office should be run. On time and everything is under one roof. The staff is excellent, kind and caring and professional. I am extremely pleased that I had Dr. John Wild Jr. replace my hips. I had heard many stories, good and bad, about hip replacement from my friends. As soon as I found out that I had “ultra-severe osteoarthritis”, I searched for an exceptional surgeon. My whole experience was extraordinary --- the listening, the explaining, the scheduling, the operation, and my recovery. I’ve known Dr Wild both professionally and personally for about 30 yrs. He replaced my right knee in 2009 without incident. His skill, professionalism, courtesy, bedside manner and patient care were exceptional. I recently requested a visit with him due to a fall with injury to my right knee. He arranged my appointment expeditiously and after his exam and x-rays, reassured me all was fine with my implant. He’s the consummate professional and would recommend him without any reservation. He’s always been there when I’ve needed him. Hope he never retires

This was a follow up to a knee replacement. A great visit a replacement was awesome a year ago and I won't need to see doctor Wilde for about 5 years.

The vist was very informing on my knee problems. Very nice Dr.

I've had Dr. Wild do surgery on me two times. Both times were excellent experiences. Everything went like clock work. Dr Wild knows his profession and enjoys helping people regain mobility and reduce pain.

Recently, I was a patient at the Tucson Orthopedic Institute. I had a very good experience. 1. It was easy to make a timely appointment 2. The staff at the admissions desks was trained and helpful 3. The wait time to see the doctor was short 4. The diagnosis of my problem was carefully determined 5. All aspects of my surgery went smoothly with outstanding doctors, nurses and staff 6. All insurance paperwork was handled in a very efficient manner I highly recommend the Tucson Orthopedic Institute

Dr. Wild replaced my knee over a year ago, and I am still having a lot of problems with pain. After surgery he told me to go to the gym and work out, that I didn't need Physical Therapy. We don't belong to a gym. He is a very abrupt and always in a hurry. I would NOT recommend him.

Dr. Wild performed knee replacement surgery on both of my knees (eight weeks apart). His work is impeccable. He is professional and to the point. He was recommended to me by a family friend who also had two knee replacements performed by him. I too highly recommend him.

I was nervous because of the hip recalls I had heard of on tv. Dr Jesse Wild explained those were att. Looking for work. He assured me he would not a Dr. If he planted defective parts in people.

Dr. Wild is not only compassionate. He is a highly skilled professional. Some Doctors are technicians. Dr. Wild is an Artist. He performed an Arthroscopic Meniscotomy on my right knee. The recovery period was literally the 45 Minutes that I remained under anesthsia. I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful surgeon and human being.
