Dr. John P Weaver

I was very hesitant about having back surgery and had been suffering for over 15 years. After consultation with Dr. Weaver he explained every facet of my MRI's and what had to be done I decided to go forward with the operation. It was the best decision I ever made. Its now been almost 4 months and I am in the best physical and mental state I have ever been in. Going on 78 and hope to reach 90. Thanks Doc. Earl Geissler

Horrible doctor and staff!! The worst!! I had a lumbar fusion 2 months ago and have had severe pain In lower back and left thigh ever since. No compassion. Treated me like I was a drug addict just trying to get pain meds. Now finally he did an MRI &CT. Says I need another extensive surgery to fix it. I went a different doctor for a second opinion and was diagnosed Sacroiliac joint dysfunction and all I need is an injection in the joint. If I had stayed with Dr. Weaver I would had to go through another surgery and still be in pain. A lot of negative issues with my treatment

Dr. Weaver saved my wife's life in 2016 by succeeding at stopping a triple-bleed subarachnoid hemhorrage. In addition, he performed 10! succeeding operations to prevent vasospasm, with NO strokes. These results, from start to finish, have been nothing short of astonishing, if not miraculous. The fact that my wife was given a 95% return to normalcy following an initial prognosis of >10% of mere survival, is something we are both grateful for every day. And, for the record, he performed a spinal fusion on her neck some years ago FLAWLESSLY, ending years of excruciating pain.

Terrible, he did a fusion in my lumbar area which did not work and gave me meningitis. I spent 15 days in the hospital. And I have been looking for him and nobody seems to know where he is. I wish I could give him give negative stars.

Horrible! And they keep him located here online as in Worcester MA at UMMC. He is no longer there for over a year now. Straighten that out!!!

I had a failed laminectomy. He took too much bone and didn't compensate for it by placing a screw or other hardware. It left my spine loose and moving inside which created a cyst that was pressing on my sciatic nerve. I had to have a much more intense surgery at Brigham and Womens to correct all the damage.

Dr. John Weaver is the best Neuro Surgeon in Mass. I had seizures for 36 years and doctors at Mass. General, Emerson Hospital, Yale, told me I could not have brain surgery due to the spot on my brain. My neurologist, Catherine Phillips at UMass., suggested I see him. he did surgery on my brain and I never had a seizure again. He changed my life completely and I Thank God, I was lucky to have him and I thank Again to my Neurologist Dr. Phillips, also at UMass.

ABSOLUTELY! ! The only doctor I will trust for surgery. I need to locate him!

Where is Dr. Weaver? He did 2 bad Fusion’s on me and UMass can’t tell me why he was fired!

Dr. John P Weaver also left me a ruined mess after spinal fusion surgery and has now disappeared and no hospital can tell me where he has gone or whether he is practicing. He is a butcher. the morning after surgery another DR and assistant came to check on me. That Dr. said to me, "remember is was Weaver who did this to you".

Dr. Weaver did spinal fussion surgery on me and left my left leg in excruciating pain due to a botched surgery which left me with 2 extra incisions and scar tissue putting pressure on my nerve root. I am worse off than pre-op. No he has left UMass Worcester in there is no forwarding office for him. He had unfinished documents that I needed from him and the staff has no explanation for me.

Dr, Weaver is well known by the hospital staff to over book appointments unfortunately I was not. After an hour beyond my appointment time I asked what the status was,I had made plans. It took 10 minutes and 2 people to confirm I'd be waiting another hour as there were still 3 people ahead of me. The worst part is that I was looked at as if I was the issue. I made appt. with Umass Boston surgeon was seen within2 weeks and on time. Dr Weaver contributed to my health issues instead of alleviating

Doctor Weaver has excellent bed manar, very good neurosurgeon. Sees his patient before and after surgery, keeps them calm. I was his patient and will recommend this surgent.

I had many problems. Not enough space here to describe them all. Appointment scheduling, scheduling of a diagnostic test, timely reporting of test results were all poor. As one example, during my apt. the doc and I agreed to do a diagnostic test. He told me I'd be called to schedule it. A week and a half later I hadn't been called - they had forgotten to order the test. When I had the test, the tech said the doc would get the results the next day. The doc didn't send me the results for a month!

Dr. Weaver is a fabulous neurosurgeon, his treatment of me and settling my fears over the surgery I needed to repair the anuerism that was discovered was superb. He performed the surgery with precision, leaving the incision in a place that will be nearly invisible beneath my hairline. He will be dong the next surgery and I have full trust in him. I am grateful he is my surgeon.
