John Uribe

Picks and chooses who he favors. I have had ok experiences with Dr. Uribe but two other family members have been treated as “less than”.

My PCP's office is in the building also It more bigger than the office he had.

He is a very knowledgeable and willing to listen to a patient.

Great Doctor and friendly staff

Dr. Uribe isn't the worse doctor you can have. However he loves to pull a little trick that takes a while to catch on to. He always, always tries to throw you off topic and confuse you. By telling you random stories of his childhood in Peru. While you are talking your current health problems with him. Pros - He comes off nice, and respectable. He does listen but as I said. He then will try to tell you a random childhood story of his. Those are the only two Pros I can honestly say about him. When I say he does listen though. I don't really mean it in a good listening way. It seems as it goes out on ear and the other to him. While he thinks of a different story to tell you. Then its rinse and repeat. While you are leaving the office wondering, what the heck just happened? Cons - He doesn't offer you any TRUE help. He sends you to HIS Favorite colleagues...aka the Doctors, and Specialty Doctors he is on good basis with. Not ones who are good on their field of specialty. You will be left with finding your own specialist to go to for help. He will prescribe you pain meds instead of truly helping you with your pain, or problem. Then he will randomly decide to kick you off all of your medication with no notice. Which is very dangerous. He then will prescribe you new medications that your Insurance most likely won't cover or help you with. He kicked me off my anxiety medication. That I TRULY need. Told me to go see a psychiatrist. Which I already did years back who recommenced me to talk to my doctor...Uribe about anxiety meds. Who then as I said took me off my anxiety medication. All while proceeding to tell me "To suck it up." Then asked me about my dead grandfather for some reason. Which was then the end of our meeting. I have other family members who used to go to him. He pulled the exact same routine on them. So that should go to show you how much he really cares. If it matters. He didn't do his medical school in the USA.He went to Med School in Peru. I feel he prefers to practice Peruvian medicine techniques he learned in school there. He doesn't seem as he up to American Doctor standards and practices. Last but not least. His receptionists, and nurses are amazing, and friendly ladies. His PA's seem to care more and are more understanding then Dr. Uribe himself. Shelly Snyder, Michelle Denial, and Casey Harvey are his PAs. Who all would have made amazing Doctors in this world! If you decide to try out his office. I suggest you ask for one of them, instead of Uribe himself. They can still take your prescriptions and everything. Just stay far away from Dr. John Uribe if you don't want someone who is just going to prescribe you pills and not truly help you at all. So in conclusion... You can give Dr. Uribe a try. I don't think you will agree with his recommendations, and the likes of. I can honestly say. You will more then likely be searching for a new PCP within six months or sooner.

Dr Uribe is a caring, competent doctor. He takes his time, and I never feel rushed in his office. He listens and responds appropriately. I have referred friends to Dr Uribe. I trust his judgement. I think very highly of him.

One of the best doctors ever - warm, caring, insightful, and blends Western and Eastern approaches to address and treat whole client vs. a list of symptoms.

Dr. Uribe is kind, funny and very smart. I trust him in my health care. The staff is wonderful and caring. Highly recommended!

He has been my PCP for about 8 years now and he has been the best Docters I've ever had. He treats you with respect and listens to everything u have to say. If he knows there's a problem with u he'll either treat it himself or take time to find u a specialist to treat what needs to be done.
