Dr. John Parks Trowbridge

The process of even reaching someone at this office is beyond frustrating. After leaving a voicemail and then calling back a few days later, I was put on hold for 20 minutes and then informed that I would receive a return phone call, which I didn't. When I was finally able to get through, I learned that the "complimentary" consultation is not in person with the doctor, but rather a phone conversation with a "nurse" who will preface the call with an abrupt statement, "the treatments are $8500 each and the first visit is $900." This was before an actual explanation of the specific conditions treated as it related to me personally or the medical process, etc. I was promised a follow up phone call after that which never happened. Turns out, many other doctors in the Houston area do this treatment for much less, plus they're professional and responsive.

I never leave a bad review, but when it pertains to someone's health, I feel I must give a heads up to anyone thinking about visiting this doctor... In contemplating for a long time whether or not I should do this, here we go. I went in around March, desperately seeking answers that I had been needing for a few years. He made me believe that I "am an easy fix and will heal in no time," because that is what he told me. False hope. On our first visit, I left feeling very skeptical-- am I really an easy fix? Is this doctor my Godsent? Why do I feel lack of peace? He had me do tests without explaining to me what they were all for, without letting me know about the cost (yes, I know y'all don't take insurance, ppl in the office) of what each test would be, and sent me off with supplements that cost so much money. I was shocked at how much the first visit was! But I decided to see him again for my follow up. No progression had been made between the first to second visit (long gap between). Even after I made the decision to no longer see him, because my wallet was running dry from constant bills POURING in, I kept up with his protocol thinking maybe if I did it longer, something would change. Nothing ever did. I'll be completely candid with you: this guy from TWO visits alone (including labs and their bills, the patient visit charge, and supplements) cost me around $5,000 for zero improvement. IF you do decide to go, I have warned you about the potential cost. He will tell you to be patient with him, while he slowly figures out what is wrong with you, all while draining you of your money. And constant bills pouring in for the labs he will have you do. Heed warning to this and other reviews that have left one star. Not only here on google reviews, but on the health grade website and any other website that mentions this doctor. There is a reason why we are writing these reviews... To warn you all. Let me paint you a picture. A year ago we thought that Dr. Trowbridge was a godsend. Now.... I was holding off on writing a poor review on Google, because I've already contacted his office and sent two emails in regards to improper and unethical treatment of a Patient. This patient was never referred out, and so far zero efforts have been made to rectify continuity of care for this patient. There will be more reviews to come in regards to how things go from here. The Hippocratic Oath is actually a beautiful thing for Dr's to use as a guiding light. Unfortunately, this Dr. has lost his way. Until I see efforts made, this review is the beginning of many many to come. And now I wonder as I investigate into this man's character and doctorate what exactly lead him to be in the position he's in, including tax evasion. I'm finding some really interesting stuff that shines a lot on this Dr's character that I wish we had known. The fact is. Sick people suffer, EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. And all they want, is relief, to feel better and to feel cared for. If you are chronically ill, with complex issues, please don't go here. Dr. John Trowbridge is an amazing doctor, outstanding in his field, passionate about his work and his patient care. I am honored to call him my doctor and my friend.

I felt like his only patient, when any contact was made in his office or on line. When you get better after years of the same old down hill trek, it's a journey you will never regret you made with Dr. Trowbridge.

This doctor is the most educated and knowledgeable to fix almost any problems. His typical patient seems to be the ones that all other doctors have given up and they fall thru the door for help. Miracle after miracle story can be heard while in the waiting room or chelation rooms.

I have been chelating with Dr. Trowbridge for over 25 years for plaque buildup in my arteries. When I started I had one artery 60% blocked and could hardly walk for 10 minutes without being out of breath. After 3 months chelating 3 time /week, I could work all day on my ranch in the Texas heat without a problem. Since then I have been fine with monthly maintainance. Dr. Trowbridge and his entire staff make visits a very relaxing experience. Appointments are easy to make, follow-up to patient inquiries is quick, courteous & informational. Dr. T's bedside manner makes for a relaxed exchange. No question is considered bothersome or foolish, & his explanations are such that I fully understand. I am now off of prescription HBP meds which were not working to lower my BP, and certainly do not miss the negative side effects. Thank you, Dr. T!!! Dr. "T" is the BEST!!! One my 1st appointment., decades ago, they tape recorded my consult (everything said by both parties - mostly by me) & GAVE ME the tape to have to listen to to refresh my memory. I was told I was welcome to bring a blank cassette tape to any additional visits & they would record for me! That is UNHEARD OF!!!! What doctor has NOTHING to hide & lets you record everything he says to you!?!?!? ALSO, Dr. "T" sends you all the actual copies of your test/lab results with evaluation. NO other doctor does that!!! He has treated me for LATE STAGE LYMES DISEASE, Leaky Gut Syndrome, Metal Poisoning by dentists, etc. He's a GENIUS always looking for the missing pieces of the puzzle to YOUR problem. Went out of his way to help me start a chelation protocol when I couldn't afford to travel to see him in Texas. That was about 6 months ago. I'm getting better day by day because of him. Standard specialists here haven't helped at all with my exposure to industrial cleaners that had metals in them. Have been seeing specialists here at the VA for it for the past two years and have had no results. Following Dr. T's beginning protocol and I'm finally seeing results. Its true-- the difference between a man and a mouse, is that ate mouse always finds the cheese. Someone can continue the same treatments and continue to do so without getting any results. Dr. Trowbridge gave me my life back. I suddenly experienced problems with my right shoulder that severely restricted what I could do. Found Dr. Trowbridge after hearing about "prolo therapy" and wondered if it could help me. Was surprised to get a questionnaire that I filled out that was extremely detailed in its questions. Dr. Trowbridge then sat with me for an hour discussing and asking specific questions about the details before he ever treated me. After seeing the issue that my shoulder was causing me, he began prolo therapy on my shoulder. I was able to regain full use of my shoulder and arm and quite simply, regained my life due to the lack of restrictions I now have. Dr. Trowbridge is focused in his interest in each person's care and strives to give the treatments that will benefit that person. He has even treated my wife for an on-going issue she has suffered from for the last 30 years and she also experienced improvements that greatly diminished the pain she had been living with for so long. Dr. John Parks Trowbridge is, without a doubt, the finest of doctors. Early one morning, my husband was suffering from severe pain, so I rushed him to a nearby ER, where 2 MD's diagnosed his problem as heart-related. My husband would not go to the hospital, so I frantically called Dr. T., and he correctly diagnosed my husband's problem OVER THE PHONE. He is brilliant, extremely well educated, experienced, compassionate, an innovator, skillful listener, and even witty! I trust him with my life.

Dr. Trowbridge is the best! He's been my doctor since 2008 & has never led me wrong. He's the only doctor I know that will answer all my questions in person & via email. He's very thorough & I trust him completely. I drive 90 minutes to see him and it's worth it!

I recommend Dr. Trowbridge to everyone I know. He saved my daughter who was 19 years old when we first visited his office. She had an auto-immune disease that was killing her. The other physicians only offered medicines that were life threatening. From the first visit with Dr. Trowbridge her life started to get better until her body stopped attacking herself. Dr. Trowbridge's book titled "The Yeast Syndrome" described my health decline due to antibiotics given to me for broken bone surgery and acne (tetracycline). Dr. Trowbridge's treatment has restored my gastrointestinal health after it was damaged from the antibiotics. Dr. Trowbridge diagnosed my damaged thyroid and prescribed the necessary medicine. Dr Trowbridge is the best doctor I have attended in my life. He integrates hi tech lab tests with nutrition, supplements, modern technology and pharmaceuticals to provide solutions to medical problems. He has saved many lives that I know of and has cured many uncurables that other doctors have given up on. He has kept my wife and me in good health since 2009.

Dr Trowbridge is extremely competent and caring. I have been his patient for well over 15 years and he has always been very thorough, never rushing through an appointment. He has an excellent staff. I have referred many patients and he has fixed major health problems for them as well as myself. Diagnosis of internal medicine and fixing the problem as well as almost all pain related problems. Not by throwing medications at it but chasing down the root cause

I would highly recommend Dr. Trowbridge. We drive down to see him from Colorado. I had polio and no doctors that I have encountered understand my condition nor have helped me. Dr. Trowbridge has helped me keep going with the treatments I receive from him and it gives me relief from the joint pain and torn ligaments. He solved my very frequent Bladder infections and Interstitial Cystitis when the team of Doctors at the Medical Center couldn't figure out the cause. He is very compassionate and caring.

Dr. Trowbridge doesn't just write prescriptions for your symptoms - he looks at the entire body function to determine the cause of those symptoms. Once that cause is determined, he offers a safe and thoughtful plan of action. Office visits never feel rushed. In addition to a practicing medical license, Dr. T also has a degree in nutrition, which gives him a full-spectrum approach to patient care. The office staff is fun and friendly, too.

This guy has helped keep my sister alive for the past 2 years. No one could figure out her case. She would have been dead without his care. The staff is very friendly and he's trained them very well. Heads up..he is a bit chatty...and you will want to put your visit on a timer and let him know when you go in that you have scheduled only a half hour visit for example.... You can have a half hour visit...just know though that if you listen to him tell some of his wonderful stories....you will be on the clock and pay for it! If he talks too much, you can remind him to stay on track! Come prepared to each visit with a list of questions. Let him know that you have them when you come in. He likes very clear and succinct emails when you send him weekly updates. He offers cash discounts and other discounts as well. People travel very far to see him. Think of him as a tool in your toolbox..not the only tool, but the Co pilot..you are the pilot..you have to follow his instructions if you want to get better!
