Outstanding communication before, during and after procedure.

I haven't had the need to go to Spine West for a few years (which was great!) but this year I was in a fairly serious accident regarding my shoulder and elbow. Dr. Toby carefully evaluated MRI's , xrays and tests previously done and we discussed options and 2nd opinions I might need regarding a recent suggestion of surgery by another doctor. After the visit yesterday, I was scheduled very quickly for a test that we decided might be good to redo. Dr. Toby is an extremely caring physician who took time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. I really appreciated that he spent the time in my visit to help put me at ease regarding "next steps". I have the utmost trust in Dr. Toby and others I have seen at Spine West. I have recommended them to many people.

I have had wonderful care at Spine West for several years for both my back and now shoulder. I was in for PT today with Julie who loosened up both issues a lot and got me back into alignment. She is very knowledgable, caring and thorough. I do best with pain when there is humor and Julie has a delightful sense of humor mixed with her skills. I will stress it's always helpful to actually do the exercises one's PT gives them to do regularly at home. If one isn't willing to help themselves, then no amount of PT is worth your time. We each have to do our part. I also needed to discuss an appointment matter with Meg who is such a fabulous woman. So caring, helpful, kind and efficient. A true patient advocate for making sure things run smoothly. There are no words to describe how much Spine West has helped me keep moving period and with less pain and off pain medications which I don't want to be taking anyway. I know I have a lot physically going on and to have kind, warmhearted folks really care about relieving my pain means the world to me. Dr. Tobey also recently did an RFA for my back. I don't like sedation and he kindly worked with me around that matter. He's as gentle as possible which helps patients relax. It went smoothly and I felt my wishes were heard and very well respected. I don't think I've ever felt as heard and respected as much as I have at Spine West. Jennifer is a PA who I've also seen a fair amount. Her warmth and ability to explain what's going on and different options for care are astronomical. She went above and beyond with research for my shoulder solution options. They also have compassionate, put you at ease MA's who stay right on top of things and get back to me via their portal (which is very user friendly) or by phone. Thank you all.
