I had requested an appointment with his partner but somehow got scheduled with him. After a 5 minute physical exam, I was told I didn't have PD. I had been diagnosed and treated for PD for 5 years. Was scheduled to have brain test at Duke to rule out PD. He offered no other dx or tx. I found a movement disorder specialist at Duke and did not return to Dr. Steele. My movement disorder specialist concurs with my Neurologist in Charlotte, PD.
Dr. Steel and his staff areally the absolute best !!! I've been his patient for 2 years, couldn't ask for better care.
I found him to be very helpful and courteous to me. He adjusted my medications and it has improved my MS condition.
Specifically, he has the bedside manner of a cottonmouth snake. We anticipated specific tests to be run and there were valid reasons why that was not possible. Rather than discussing alternative tests or discussing our options over a broader canvas, Dr. Steel, without warning enters my husband's room and begins to tell my husband that he will never walk independently, that he should have come in to see him several years ago and that my husband will always be in a wheelchair.
