Dr . maxy is great but new staff debbie is horrible . Not very helpful , unprofessional , Has no idea what she is doing . she is the reason my wife will no longer wants to be a patient after 3 years of amazing service by Dr. maxcy .

I need Dr Shim again. I did ask him if he could make me taller while he was in there and he said if he could he would make himself taller. However I am in need of LS spine surgery now in reference to the foramen where the sciatic nerve goes through is being crushed by a bulging disc work needs to be done and on top of that I was involved in a motor vehicle accident rear ended 2 weeks ago I need help and I am being referred. Morgan and Morgan are involved and also the accident was being rear-ended at a stoplight at 55 mph. Please respond and let me know if this is possible as I again and being referred to several places and have gotten literally nowhere so far The pain is getting much worse.

My visit with Dr Shim for a consult was very valuable and informative. Dr Shim successfully operated on my back 12 years ago and when I needed another surgery with another back problem I consulted with Dr Shim. He gave me excellent information after viewing all my imagining and being familiar with my back. I was able to choose a surgeon to do my current surgical operation based on Dr Shim's information concerning my back problem.. All is well so far from my surgery one month ago. My consultation with Dr Shim was worth the time and money.

Practice accepts no insurance. I don't know how anyone affords his care!

It has been 12 years this month since my surgery. He was not quick about cutting, I had 2 previous surgeries with another doctor, he delayed for 6 years. When the time came, I have to admit I was a little scared. He made it extremely clear to me that the surgery may not work, it could get worse, or it could get a lot better. No promises- an attribute I really appreciate. I was lucky and it got a lot better. He and his staff are up front, kind, and compassionate. Dr. Shim and all staff were very professional and caring.

My husband was operated on by Dr Sim 8 yrs ago with great success. He was in terrible pain with spasms to frequent to have an MRI. We are very thankful. He won club championship three months after surgery.

Dr Shim and Jason are simply the best and most caring professionals I have met and trusted for my spine issues. Always friendly, thorough, effective and extremely sensitive to your needs and pain. Add to that a firm handshake, smile, and pleasant sense of humor — you just can’t get any better than that!

Dr. Shim and his office staff are amazing! From the very first call, everyone was patient and willing to answer any questions that I had regarding my injury, treatment options and recovery time. Less than a week after my surgery, a hurricane hit Florida. Dr. Shim, Jason and Cathie made sure that I had a way to reach someone if needed during that time. They never stop thinking about the well being of their patients.

Listen here! Dr. Shim is the man, Direct, to the point, and will get the job done! (I am BACK!) no point intended, however, my back is 100% back to normal... I was in agonizing pain since my accident, not anymore. Not only are they professional, they are affordable, personal, and truly genuine staff. Dr. Shim and his staff were the best. After my initial visit with doctor Shim I knew I was in the right place for my back surgery. Both he and Cathy were so informative I felt like all my questions had been answered and Dr. Shim's confidence with the procedure left me wishing I had done it long ago. We met with Dr. Shim on 2/7/ 2017. We were completely satisfied with his clear and concise explanations regarding various procedures to correct a painful left leg condition. He thoroughly explained options to correct issues in the M.R.I. He listened well and explained the corrections using different techniques. He was very knowledgeable with a good sense of humor. After updated M.R.I. testing we will meet him again to determine the operation corrective actions. His staff was very effective.

Dr Shim and his staff engendered trust and a positive professionalism from the first phone conversation. Prior to actually meeting him for my initial consultation Dr. Shim was personally recommended. I never had any reason to feel anxiety or concern thru the entire process. It was comforting to know immediately that Dr. Shim had my best interest as a primary concern. I have already recommended him to several people, and expect to recommend him without hesitation in the future.

With having a couple different back injuries over the years during this time, Dr. Shim has easily been my doctor of choice. I highly respect his opinion and diagnosis on which procedure would be best suited for the condition you have. My 1st initial visit was 11 years ago. One of the things that I liked was his honesty and explanation of the possibility of what could happen if I continued to perform my job without having the condition corrected. The afternoon after surgery I had immediate relief and was back to work in the building trade within just a few weeks. During the following years I have had a very active outdoor lifestyle, recently having developed a different issue in my back. We looked at different options and procedures in assessing the best route for moving forward. I'm grateful for that and his honest answers that are explained in a simple manner. It is not high on my list to go see a Orthopedic Spine Surgeon, for me that means you're in some discomfort. Going to their office is easy. They are approachable, easy to talk to and discuss things. The office staff has always had me on time; pleasant, efficient and his PA Jason Mazza is excellent. He has been there from when I started going to the office. Dr. Shim and his assistant, Jason, did an overall excellent job in the diagnosis, the surgery procedure itself, and the communication of information in every aspect of my situation. So far, my results are great and I am very pleased with the outcome. After only 2 weeks recovery, I am looking forward to resuming my normal, daily activities.

I went through surgery L-4/L-5 fusion with Dr Shim in Mid October of 2014. The surgery was very successful and I no longer have lower back pain or sciatica. I woke up in August and couldn't walk.After an MRI and ESI shots in my back, surgery was suggested as my only solution. Two days in the hospital and one week of extreme discomfort, and I was on my way to being fully functioning again. Dr Shim and his staff and nursing care couldn't have been more caring and attentive. I would highly recommend Dr Shim and his staff for anyone needing surgery of their spine. I couldn't imagine being taken care of any better.
