After 5 years of having a vasectomy. My husband and I wanted to give our daughter a sibling. We drove 2 hours to have Dr. McHugh and his team give us a chance at growing our family again. They were informative and the overall surgery was handled smoothly leaving us with high hopes. 7 months later and we were expecting our second daughter. Dr was awesome, staff was all amazingly positive and easy going which made the entire experience a breeze. Even had Slipknot jamming in the room for me during the procedure which was so quick. 10/10 I would recommend anybody to them for their vasectomy needs.

I had a great experience getting my reversal done here. The whole team was great and worked with me to make me feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. McHugh and his staff were very competent and made me feel comfortable before, during and after the procedure.

Very quick procedure. Truly 15 minutes as Dr. McHugh says. Less pain than the Covid-19 vaccination shot. I was thoroughly impressed!!

Doctors like Doctor McHugh and staff like he has in his office do not exist in today's world. I have literally never been treated with such a level of care and respect. I contacted Dr McHugh due to a problem my husband was having that could be very serious or could be pretty minor. When I reached out to the office Pam replied to my email within minutes and offered to get my husband in the next day. THE NEXT DAY! As it turns out the problem was quite minor and we were able to have our minds put at ease not much over 24 hours from my original contact with them. Here's where it gets AMAZING. Doctor McHugh's specialties are non surgical vasectomies and reversals, he doesn't actually do sort of general urology care any longer. Yet they not only took my husband's appointment but saw him the next day! My husband was treated with compassion and given clear concise information in one visit. I recently had an experience with another urologist in town where it took me over 5 months of testing, waiting weeks for appointments and worry to get information on my particular health issue. Great experience. Almost totally painless during the procedure and after. Ladies in the office were very nice and gave me all the info I needed. Dr. McHugh was nice and professional. First of all, I contacted Dr. McHugh over the website. He called me after hours (5-6 pm), explained the procedure and answered all my questions. At my age (56), he did cautiously warn me that success would be much lower. All encompassing fee performed at this facility was more than reasonable and I liked the doc so my wife and I took a chance. On the day of the procedure (12/23/2020 I believe), the staff was wonderfully nice beforehand and I honestly hardly remember anything afterward. My wife said that they were most helpful and nice. Recovery wasn't bad and I didn't even take the pain pills. The stitches took a while to heal but I would imagine that's par for the course. UNFORTUNATELY...JUST KIDDING...FORTUNATELY the procedure was a SUCCESS. My wife is now pregnant and due in January 2022. Thanks Doc. I guess that I am not that old after all. Easy going, not awkward at all. Makes you feel comfortable. I did mine with just local numbing and yes I could feel it but it's not jaw clenching pain.

Had a vasectomy done. Dr. McHugh was very professional as well as his staff. Pain on the scale of 1-2, it’s nothing honestly. Swelling has been minimal as well. Very happy I was able to find Dr. McHugh and his staff.

Had a vasectomy done. The office staff was very nice and very informative to me and my wife. The doctor was very personable and made you feel comfortable. He explained everything he was doing and explained it before he did it. I would recommend him to anyone and you don’t find that in many doctors these days.

I was super pleased with everything regarding my vasectomy. Dr. McHugh and his staff made the whole experience as painless as possible (both the actual procedure and the sensitive/personal nature of having something like this done). Highly recommended.

Staff was fantastic and made my procedure easy.

Dr. McHugh was referred to me by my PCP, and was able to work me into his schedule within several weeks. After arriving, his staff accepted me as his patient, and put all my questions and concerns to rest within five minutes, assuring me he was able to conduct a thorough prostate exam, confirmed my problem, and took all the time to explain his care plan. As a Retired US Military member, Dr. McHugh, gladly accepted my TriCare Insurance, along with Medicare Insurance and explained in great detail, why it is important for annual exams. Dr. McHugh scheduled additional diagnostic biopsy which confirmed prostate cancer surgery, explained ALL my options, and provided options Robotic Surgeons in both Atlanta and Gainesville. I will recommend Dr. McHugh to anyone who wants the personalised care plan from a true Professional, a member of the US Military who understands the needs and insurance issues. Patient for Life. A very well-run practice. Not only is Dr. McHugh one of the best urologists in the region, but his staff are also top-notch. I didn't realize a visit to the doctor could actually be a pleasant experience!

I’ve never had any kind of surgery nor medical issues beyond a common cold, so I was pretty nervous about the procedure. I did my research and knew what to expect, but that didn’t make me any less nervous to have anyone cut me in such a sensitive area. Dr. McHugh was thorough in answering my questions during the initial consult and in walking me through the procedure as he completed it. As expected, the numbing process was slightly uncomfortable (but nowhere near as bad as I imagined). Otherwise, it was quick and painless. I kicked back in the recliner and took it easy for a couple of days afterwards with minimal discomfort. This was so much easier for me than for my wife to continue dealing with the issues associated with an IUD or other forms of birth control. I wish I had done this sooner. I had a vasectomy preformed by Dr. McHugh in 2011. My experience was very pleasant all things considered. When I met my wife in 2015 we decide to have a child together. So in January of 2017 I met with Dr. McHugh again and we scheduled my reversal. It was a success and my wife became pregnant in April. Unfortunately she miscarried in July. We tried again later in 2017 with no success. We prayed about our situation and felt that if god wanted us to have a child it would happen on his time frame not our’s. Well after a year of waiting trying and praying we were introduced to a reproduction specialist. We had multiple test ran and the conclusion was that I had scar tissue occlude my vas tube. Well we knew then that Dr. McHugh was the man we would trust to fix my issue. So we scheduled my second reversal procedure in March of 2019. My wife and I are happy to announce that we are now expecting in March of 2020. This wouldn’t be possible without Dr. McHugh and his amazing staff! Thank y’all!

This practice is really awesome. I have been there twice and have a third appointment and I am looking forward to it. Dr. McHugh has a great sense of humor as does his staff. From my experience his staff is friendly, courteous and helpful.

Dr. McHugh was slightly late on seeing me however he had to explain to a patient just before me that he had bladder cancer. He wanted to take the extra time with that family to explain and answer any questions that they had with Dr. McHugh. He told me that he was extremely sorry for the extended wait time. I didn’t mind at all. I was glad that he took the extra time with that patient and his family to discuss their dx and the next course of Tx. I was referred to him by my best friends brother, Dwayne McCrary. I have the utmost respect to not only Dr. McHugh but for his assistants as well. He has the best bedside manners of any other doctor that I’ve been to. He is compassionate and an exceptional listener. I was seeing a different doctor 2° to kidney stones but I didn’t feel comfortable with that doctor. Not only did the office squeeze my husband in to be seen, they were able to do his procedure that same day in the surgery center. Only someone who has had as many stones as I have and in that pain and discomfort, would understand how grateful I am for someone to insure I am taken care of from the time I call the office to coming in..to having a CT.... to most of the time ending with surgery.
