Dr. McDonough is an advocate of the patient making a decision about their own health. He shares information, with visual aides if necessary, gives his input, suggestions on what is feasible and what is not to expect for a condition. He is open to questions, anecdotal "what ifs" and potential treatments. Felt like he was a wonderful guide to help me decide what is best for my situation at the present plus what are my options for the future.

Saw Dr. McDonough 9/15/16 for recurrent knee pain. He was thorough expaining causes of pain, reviewed X-rays, demonstrated problem with models of knee, and knee replacement samples; thoroughly examined both knees. Problem solved WITH me. Generous with his time. Personally assisted with resources. Bottom line, we came to joint conclusion that reduced exercise, weight loss major plan for improved knee function and reduced pain. Only complaint, he couldn't make me any younger nor agile!
