Dr. John Warren Mcbroom

Worse bed side manner i have ever come across. Conceited. Not there when patients need him if/when a postop problem comes up, never answers messages left if/when a postop problem arises ,if your lucky you get a call back from one of the office staff to tell you to go to er if the problem is bad. You do not see him for postop appointment you see the nurse practitioner . Had i known i would have chosen a different surgeon. You read the reviews how great he is,,he is not. Do yourself a favor and seek out a different surgeon

When I was first diagnosed, Dr. McBroom and his team was awesome. Fast forward to a year and half later and the bedside manner has worn off. If it wasn't for the kind oncology nurses at the Piedmont infusion center, I feel alone in this fight!

I had to have a hysterectomy and oophorectomy in 2017 due to borderline tumors that wouldn’t stop attaching to the half ovary I had left. I have mixed feelings about Dr McBroom because although he was thorough in some aspects he wasn’t thorough at all in other areas. I was very happy that I was forced to see a urologist and gastroenterologist because I had pretty severe symptoms in both those areas that were separate from my endometriosis and ovarian tumors. However I think it was negligent that I was not started on hormone replacement therapy following my oophorectomy. No woman should be left to battle surgical menopause without hormones and possibly antidepressants. Dr McBroom simply stated he doesn’t prescribe hormones but he should have referred me to a doctor who could have prescribed them. I have suffered way too much with bone loss, arthritis, chronic pain, hot flashes, insomnia and crippling anxiety and depression following this surgery and much of this could have been avoided had I been given hormones. I’m now seeing a gynecologist who will be prescribing hormones but she doesn’t understand how he left me without any hormonal support despite taking all of my reproductive organs years ago. If you are going to lose your ovaries you need hormones, period. Excellent physician. I felt I was in the best hands from my very first visit. His guidance through surgery and chemotherapy has been excellent. I have ultimate confidence in his knowledge, experience and skills.

My experience with Dr. McBroom has been excellent. I have felt in the very best hands since my first visit. Through the surgery and chemotherapy process, I felt he individualized my care and treatment. I never felt rushed in appointments and his two P.A.s, Leesa Marie and Emma are exceptional.

Dr. McBroom is a nice person and a thorough physician however you have to call his office 5 to 6 times to get a response even when making an appointment. Very frustrating especially when you have cancer and are taking chemo.

Dr mcbroom did surgery on my cousin 4 years ago for.uterine cancer. After Thanksgiving she was diagnosed with liver and lung metastasis. New years weekend she called him numerous times. More than 4 due to increased pain and shortness of.breath he has not returned her call yet. She was seen by another physician today and the cancer is now in her.bones. this is a horrible painful cancer and he would.not even call.her.back. she had very mild.pain medication. Dr. McBroom and his team were amazing. They really helped me to remain calm during one of the scariest times of my life.

I love this dr he is a good person and a great human being so whoever said he wasn’t is obviously having or had a bad day this man took care of me when I had a cancer spot I was terrified he’s been my dr for almost 4 years now and he’s the best and takes care of his patients trust me I’m a hard person to please but he’s AWESOME❤️❤️❤️Friendly staff and all!!! I highly recommend Dr. McBroom! He is great at his job and very kind. 9 years ago, he successfully removed 15 lb. borderline mucinous ovarian tumor (contained in my left ovary), left fallopian tube, and my appendix. By God's grace, and with 1 ovary, I now have 2 children! ????

So glad my gynecologist suggested Dr. McBroom handle my hysterectomy. He’s top notch and I never once questioned that I was in good hands. He’s the best in Atlanta.

My experience with Dr. McBroom was fine. I feel he was a good surgeon and I am recovering well. But, the office staff leaves a lot to be desired. They do not call back if messages are left before 12pm. Messages left after 12pm are often not ever returned, and certainly if returned, not the next day. I have very little confidence in his staff. Giving a 3 based on my experience with the office staff.

I had a bad experience with another doctor prior to going to Dr. McBroom, which heightened my anxiety about what was happening to me. So glad I switched to Dr. McBroom's office because from the very first phone call, the staff made me feel at ease and cared for. This was my experience consistently to my last post-op appt.

I immediately developed an infectious cyst on my abdomen after surgery from a robotic procedure performed by Dr. John Mcbroom. My abdomen began to swell after release from the hospital, and I was rushed to the emergency room. Since the surgery, Dr. Mcbroom has been having his appointment schedulers contact me 2 weeks prior to my regular routine appointments to reschedule my doctor visits. They seem to always say that Dr. Mcbroom is in surgery on the day of my initial appointment.

No doubt I would not be here today without Dr Mcbroom. Highly intelligent and skilled professional but kind and fantastic. I adore all of his staff and their help.

He calls himself aggressive in his treatment, but apparently in my mother's case, not aggressive enough. I never could get the comfortable feeling with him and his staff. I always got the "something else to do" feeling when they came into the room. When the chemotherapy didn't work, he was reluctant to even try anything else. I, in my heart think he gave up. Fabulous doctor. He was so kind and reassuring to me and my family. I was so petrified, but, he had the best bedside manner. I am so glad he was my doctor. I had a hysterectomy and had very little pain. I highly recommend him to anyone.

I was very disappointed when the only option he provided me was a hysterectomy for having endometriosis and cysts. That is a pretty drastic solution to a problem for which other therapies and milder solutions exits for Hysterectomy for a non cancerous ovaries/uterus does more harm to a woman than good. At the time, he did not provide any options or informed me of any of the health risks of a hysterectomy. I really believe since I had good insurance he just wanted to do the most expensive opt

Based on his reviews on the Piedmont site, Dr. McBroom should have been a gem for my Mom. Instead, he was late for the appointment and his bedside manner was absent. I work at a hospital that focuses on spinal cord injury and other neurological disorders, and we know some patients will not make it out of our doors, but one thing we never do is brush them or their situation off. After being brushed off, my Mom was very upset and because of her experience I could not recommend Dr. McBroom.

Kindest doctor, friendliest staff. Dr. McBroom is renowned for his lap & micro surg. procedures and skill. Exactly the MD a woman wants taking care of her when she needs it. Atlanta Top Doctor 3 years running.
