Pain Med really help me with my pain and I am getting better every day I thank everyone work there that includes the pretty lady's at front very helpful and super nice

45 wait time without explanation, apology, or being assured we had not been forgotten. Pages and pages of paperwork although I just did it there 2 weeks ago. Staff did not introduce themselves or told procedure. Side effects of prescribed medication not mentioned. When calling for an appointment you will be booked with an advance practitioner not the MD. Family member who pays their bills and puts up with the patient in pain, at home, were not acknowledged with so much as a side glance. Never asked if they had any questions or concerns.

I have requested twice to have him call me and see if I could get pain medication for my mom as she is not responding well to the 1st injection and no one will return my call or order a prescription for pain.

Dr Massey is the best in the business. One week later I'm back to normal, after suffering from pain so bad I couldn't walk. Normal activities 2 days later.

Doctor Massey is the type of doctor that cares about the patients. If you're looking for a doctor that will treat you and care for you in the best possible way you've come to the right spot. He will provide you with the best level of care and have your interests in mind and and have your input as well in the course of action he develops to treat you. I will be seeking other opinions. First of all back in November I paid over $300 for a consult, was told to get an MRI from the VA and awaited a letter from MD Pain. The letter never came. I didn’t realize I needed to bring the MRI results from the VA to the office that ordered it. I got the MRI and results scheduled another appt. w/ Dr. Massey and paid another $240 dollars to be told what I already knew that the MRI showed no issues. I was told that the MRI scan was the end all be all for testing, but can be wrong or miss things 10-20% of the time. So, which is it?!? I was of course referred to yet another practitioner, this time a neurologist for an EMG. And to top it all off I didn’t even get to speak to my Dr., I had to speak to an NP, who may be great at his job, but he had no idea about my case or why I was even there! I give up w this place. But they won’t hesitate to take your money. I will be seeking other opinions. Friendly staff, not much wait time and the Dr wanted to know where my pain was and how it felt seems to really care and tries to come up with a plan to help.

Dr Massey is a wonderful doctor he has done so much for me from a wheelchair to a walker to a cane and now just a brace I am so thankful for everything he’s done for me thank you so much Dr Massey

Dr. Massey helped me more than any other Dr. In regard to my chronic back pain due to cancer. I finally got relief after he put in a pain pump. Before that I could not stand the pain. Also have a pinched nerve and neuropathy in my feet. Finally got relief.. Dr. Massy is kind, patient and very empathetic.

First visit when exceedingly well. The staff are very professional and friendly and I felt very comfortable with Dr. Massey, he is very compassionate and I am praying he can help me.

Long time patient, followed this provider from previous office. Office staff does not submit insurance requests in a timely manner. Staff was untruthful about when paperwork would be submitted. Staff blamed patient insurance company for delays. Staff would not allow patient to leave a phone message or provide an email for the Doctor. Difficult to receive treatment, so I have chosen to seek care with another provider. When patient requested medical records staff tried to say they could not provide documents as requested due to HIPPA. I had the same issues about 20 months ago with services. I have been a patient of Dr. Massey's for many years. He listens to the patient and gets to the root of your problem. Too many doctors will try a pill or another pill. That's not how he operates. Professional, Dr. Massey is the best pain reliever I can find. His nursing staff are friendly, and professional. Attitude means everything, no one has an attitude here, just friendly polite people who do what they can to help relieve back pain.

Dr. was very thorough and LISTENED. My conduct is somewhat complicated and he came up with the beginning of a lifetime plan for me that can be adjusted as needed until the relief needed is manageable. Explained reasons for my pain in an understandable way.

Although I usually don't like going to see a doctor, I found Dr. Massey to be very friendly, yet professional and informative. He took the time to get to know me a bit and answered my questions honestly and in detail. I appreciate that.

Dr. John Massey has been treating me since a recent surgery in April 2021. I feel I should have seen Dr. Massey much sooner for treatment of chronic pain. I have experienced some bumps in the road, severe fatigue that has taken a lot of patience on Dr. Massey’s part. He is always patient, his demeanor is always with a warm, kind voice and most importantly he listens. A vital part of this review is that a colleague of mine has also seen Dr. Massey. When I told her who I had chosen from the recommendations of primary care, her exact response was “I have seen Dr. Massey and you will love him BECAUSE HE LISTENS”. Listening is most important but you can tell he also understands the nature of chronic pain. Anxiety and severe fatigue accompany chronic pain. I always feel like we will get it right working together and it’s going to be ok. Excellent physician. Dr Massey treated me for a persistent lower back spasm with an epidural and I felt relief immediately. Great job!

Dr. Massey and his staff were so amazing. He did a wonderful job explaining things to me and as he was doing my injections he was continuously asking if I was ok. That made my experience so much better.

Been to multiple pain docs in town. Dr. Massey was the first to sit down, LISTEN, and do more than just pull out his prescription pad and tell you to spend the rest of your life choking down narcotics. He’s honest, kind, and always has your best interest in mind. I’m excited to have found him.

DR Massey seems extremely knowledgable. Please tell me why it has taken over 2 months for an ok for the Spinal Stimulater he stated he would implant

If there was a negative star, Dr. Massey would get it. His notes were inaccurate!!! Maybe he is spending his time with someone else and forgetting. He didn't do a thorough exam, but claimed to have. He would have been out in less then 5 minutes without questions. He obviously is now trying to pay his light bill with Wkrs Comp paid visits. Very, very, sad to say the least. His comments affects patients' health issues and their future health issues. I pray that one day he will realize this. He has damaged someone's health record by not taking time to properly evaluate his condition. On to the next paid Worker's Comp claim.. ! Oh yeah, we were told the pain would one day go away and we would wonder when the pain last affected the condition. That wasn't in his notes!!!!! Could it be intentional? I have seen Dr Massey before and his office screwed up and pulled out the trial spinal cord stimulator wires before he took xrays so he told workers comp I was not a candidate. Several years I see him again because workers comp want him to preform a ime well he only tested me on 3 things and even told me that the insurance comp EMC would not like his answers. So now my guess he told them what they wanted to and so they canceled all my medical coverage, and I can’t get a copy from Massey or EMC, they both are evidently crooked because they won’t tell me the questions EMC asked or the answers that Massey gave. So if I had paid Massey a little more than EMC it might of went my way, and Massey knows my health issues and that they are real, I seee why that last group he was in split up. So if you want a real pain doctor, look for ones that don’t take payouts from workers comp insurance companies. Dr. Massey is the best pain doctor in Lincoln. I have seen 2 of the younger ones in town who show no concern for their patients just the almighty dollar. Dr. Massey talks to you not at you. He will make recommendations and give you time to think about them. He doesn't rush you on a decision or tells you he well no longer see you as a patient. I went to Dr. Massey after having severe back pain for over a year. Dr. Massey diagnosed the problem and performed a procedure that has totally eliminated the pain. He took the time to explain in detail the problem and the procedure he would perform. His staff was excellent, and very caring.

I have seen Dr. Massey for many years now. I get Caudal injections in my spine and neck. He has never left one single question unanswered and he has never rushed me when I do have questions and he speaks to me in terms that I can understand. He has ordered MRI's at different times so he can see if there are any changes that might change how he treats me. He is also excellent at working with my health insurance company. His entire staff is always pleasant and his nurse Sandy is the best. It's nice to see a staff work so good together. I am certain that if it were not for him, I would not be able work in a job that is sometimes physically demanding and keep up with my 14 grandchildren. If I could give 100 stars I certainly would. In December after going through a bad time and sleeping on the floor for 3 nights I called and they worked me in the next day. I'm sure he cut his lunch hour short to help me on such short notice but that's the kind of Doctor and man he is. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Dr. Massey. I’ve so far seen him twice and both times he’s had EXCELLENT bed side manor. He’s been nothing but kind. Both of my grandparents have seen him for pain and have nothing but good things to say. So far I’ve had positive results and I literally just left his office from an injection (they did me a favor and got me in at 7:30 since I’m a teacher) and I already feel my pain relieved in my neck. His nurses came in during the procedure and calmed me down because I was so nervous. He was informative during the injection process and showed me pictures after the fact. I am shocked to read that some people are saying negative things about him. Dr. Massey is one of the most kind and humble doctors I’ve been around since my emergency cervical disc replacement surgery 18 months ago (and I’ve been around some pretty unsocial doctors). He is by FAR one of the best in Nebraska and I would recommend him to anyone I know for chronic pain. I’m excited to continue seeing him and see if I can get my pain under control. Dr. Massey was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a physician. Every time I went to his office I left in tears. He was arrogant rude Condescending. I had a spinal cord tumor removed from my back and became addicted to opiates. By the time I saw him I had been off of that type of medication for months and was open to any and all other solutions. Dr. Massey treated me like dirt and like I was nothing but An addict and my pain was not real.

Did two injections in my back for pain. Missed both times.

He tells you he knows whats wrong snd says he can fix you. Not true also lies to worknan comp says he fixed you. Seek real dr that is there for you. I suffer everyday with headaches and neck pain. He left lincoln didnt even tell his patients.

Worse experience I've ever had ! Rude, acts like your just there to get pills.

Very caring and pleasant every time. He is still trying to figure out how to help me get through this pain. I find it hard to believe that he is rude to anyone! Also, have never had a rude nurse!
